Women from the Severus dynasty (193-235) had a huge impact on the political careers of the male family members. In addition to the wife of the dynasty's founder, Julia Domna, her sister Julia Maesa and her two daughters, Julia Soemias, the mother of Emperor Heliogabal and Julia Mamea, mother of the last representative of the dynasty, Alexander, should be mentioned in this group. The following considerations are aimed at bringing the figures of these extraordinary women closer to them and showing their unique influence on the history of Rome.Streszczenie:

No full textThe author describes the definition of safety culture in the context of Police actions taken in order to provide public safety. The main subjects of the paper are the Police basic rights while being on duty and theirs interactions with the people who are the object of police interventions. The general aim of the article is to describe relations referring to public security culture between entities that are providing security in the context of cultural background. To answer this question, it is necessary to describe Police rights and duties while being on duty. The author’s hypothesis is that the Police efficiency while providing security is strongly related to the level of security culture.Autor w publikacji podjął próbę odniesienia definicji kultury bezpieczeństwa do podmiotów bezpieczeństwa publicznego, którymi są Policja i obywatele, na rzecz których policjanci podejmują swoje działania służące zapewnianiu bezpieczeństwa. Jako przedmiot rozważań przyjęto uwarunkowania korzystania przez policjantów z podstawowych uprawnień oraz interakcje, jakie zachodzą między podejmującymi interwencje policjantami, a osobami, wobec których działania interwencyjne są podejmowane. The theoretical framework has been based on letters exchanged between Jan Sobieski and Maria Kazimiera d’Arquien de la Grange. It includes a thorough analysis of the ‘Jan and Marysieńka’s love letters’ as well as introduces the authors of those letters. The topi cis presented from different points of view, including contents of the letters and analysis from historians familiar with this field of work. Green human resource management as a tool for the sustainable development of enterprises: Polish young company experience

development of modern company competitive edge leads to the popularization of the question of incorporating environmental practices into the area of human resource policy, referred to as Green HRM. The objective of the research was to identify pro-environmental HR practices embraced by young Polish enterprises and to prioritize them in accordance with their effect on company sustainable
development. To attain these goals, a survey was conducted among a random, representative population of 150 young enterprises. The study revealed that the Green HRM concept in the Polish reality is relatively. However, there is a strong positive correlation between the evaluation of the impact of individual activities within Green HRM on sustainable company development and their practical implementation. Research demonstrated that the higher the evaluation of the impact of a given activity, the more frequent its implementation in the studied companies. This allowed the
formulation of the following conclusion: in order to increase the scope of the implementation of the Green HRM concept in Polish young enterprises, it is necessary to raise awareness and disseminate knowledge concerning the impact Green HRM can have on sustainable development in organizations

W artykule opisano istotę procesu doboru pracowników zwracając szczególną uwagę na fazę rekrutacji oraz selekcji. Zasygnalizowano problemy z podjęciem decyzji o zatrudnieniu pracownika na wakujące stanowisko. Następnie przedstawiono metodologiczne założenia badań. W dalszej części artykułu zaprezentowano najciekawsze wyniki badań dotyczące systemu zarządzania kadrami z uwzględnieniem doboru funkcjonariuszy do służby w wydziale kryminalnym. Na podstawie badań sformułowano wnioski, które mogą zostać wykorzystanie do doskonalenia omawianego systemu zarządzania kadrami.The main objective of the research presented in the article was to diagnose the process of selecting police officers to serve with the criminal investigation department. The research was conducted as a pilot project. The paper describes the essence of the process of selecting employees, with special attention being paid to the phase of recruitment and selection. Problems with taking a decision on hiring for a vacancy were pointed out. Subsequently, the methodological assumptions of research were described. The further part of the paper includes the most interesting results of the research on the human resources management system, taking account of the selection of police officers to serve with the criminal investigation department. Conclusions drawn from the research may provide the basis for improving the discussed human resources management system

Get PDFThe right of a case to be heard by an impartial judge is one of the basic elements of the court independence. The Code of Civil Procedure [CCP] anticipates two modes of excluding a judge from adjudicating in a given case. The former, regulated in Article 48 CCP occurs when a judge is absolutely excluded from hearing a case by operation of the Act (i.e. iudex inhabilis). The latter, in the judicature referred to as iudex suspectus, is of a relative nature. As pursuant to the provision of Article 49 CCP the court, notwithstanding
the grounds listed in Article 48, the court shall exclude a judge at the judge’s own request or at the request of a party, if there are circumstances that could lead to reasonable doubts as to the impartiality of the judge in a given case. The right to demand the exclusion of a judge is a constitutional guarantee of the right to an impartial court. As the rules of excluding a judge facilitate building the social trust for the
system of justice. The provision of Article 49 CCP was issued for the benefit of the system of justice, which could suffer if there were even appearances of the personal engagement or bias of an adjudicating judge. The objective of the institution of the exclusion of a judge is the provision of optimum conditions for the operation of the system of justice, excluding any doubt as to the neutrality of an adjudicating judge.

elementów niezawisłości sądu. Kodeks postępowania cywilnego (k.p.c.) przewiduje dwa tryby wyłączenia sędziego od orzekania w danej sprawie. Sytuacja pierwsza, uregulowana w art. 48 k.p.c. zachodzi, gdy sędzia jest z mocy ustawy bezwzględnie wyłączony od rozpoznawania sprawy (tzw. iudex inhabilis). Druga sytuacja, w doktrynie określana jako iudex suspectus, ma charakter względny. Stosownie bowiem
do regulacji art. 49 k.p.c., sąd, niezależnie od przesłanek wymienionych w art. 48 k.p.c., wyłącza sędziego na jego żądanie lub na wniosek strony, jeżeli istnieje okoliczność tego rodzaju, że mogłaby wywołać uzasadnioną wątpliwość co do bezstronności sędziego w danej sprawie. Przedmiotem niniejszego opracowania było dokonanie wykładni art. 49 k.p.c., w oparciu o analizę stosownego orzecznictwa Sądu Najwyższego
i sądów powszechnych. Interpretacja ta pozwoliła na rozstrzygnięcie wielu praktycznych wątpliwości związanych z zastosowaniem przedmiotowej regulacji do konkretnego stany faktycznego. W artykule przywołano przykłady stanów faktycznych uzasadniających, bądź nie, wyłączenie sędziego od rozpoznania sprawy. Poddano także analizie tryb wyłączenia sędziego oraz skutki prawne rozpoznania sprawy przez sędziego, co do którego zachodziły podstawy jego wyłączenia w trybie art. 49 k.p.c
