Private equity market in the ecosystem of start-ups and SME sector. Part 1
Get PDFFundusze Private Equity (PE) /Venture Capital (VC) obejmują średnio- i długoterminowe transakcje na rynku przedsiębiorstw prywatnych. Przyjmują one formę prawną funduszy inwestycyjnych zamkniętych bądź, cieszących się coraz większym uznaniem, alternatywnych spółek inwestycyjnych. Wspierając przedsiębiorstwa na każdym etapie rozwoju przyczyniają się do rozwoju innowacyjności polskiej gospodarki. W ostatnich latach wzrasta wartość inwestycji odnotowywana wśród europejskich funduszy PE. Udział Polski w inwestycjach Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej (CEE) osiąga najwyższe w regionie wartości i od 3 lat nie spada poniżej 46%. Dodatkowo ponad dwukrotny wzrost wartości krajowych inwestycji PE w 2017r. jest szansą poprawy jednego z najniższych w UE wskaźnika innowacyjności. Dużą rolę w tym kierunku odgrywa również rosnący w siłę ekosystem startupów. Nie bez znaczenia jest coraz większa świadomość startupów we współpracy z funduszami, którą charakteryzują m.in. silniejsza pozycja inwestora czy ograniczona możliwość negocjowania warunków umowy inwestycyjnej. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie Rynku PE i jego znaczenia w rozwoju młodych przedsiębiorstw. Ukazanie w pierwszej części artykułu statystyk dotyczących zarządzania kapitałem podwyższonego ryzyka w Polsce na tle Europy i CEE wskaże tendencje w rozwoju polskiego rynku PE. Pozwoli również ocenić szanse Polski na wyjście z ogona innowacyjnej Europy i wzrost konkurencyjności na arenie międzynarodowej. Podkreślenie znaczenia edukacji startupów w kontaktach z funduszami VC w drugiej części opracowania uwydatni dodatkowo istotę ich współpracy w świetle profesjonalizacji rynku PE i wzrostu innowacyjności kraju.Private Equity (PE)/Venture Capital (VE) Funds cover medium and long-term transactions on the private enterprise market. They adopt a legal form of closed-ended investment funds or more and more appreciated alternative investment companies, which contribute to a development of innovativeness in the Polish economy, supporting enterprises on each level of their expansion. Over the last years, there has been an increased value of investment reported among the European PE funds. Poland’s share in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) investments has been the highest in the region and does not fall below 46%. Moreover, more than a double increase of domestic PE investments in 2017 is an opportunity for improving one of the lowest innovation indexes in the European Union. An important role in this matter also belongs to the growing power of start-up ecosystem. It is not without significance that there is a growing awareness of start-ups cooperating with funds, which is defined e.g. by a stronger position of investor or a limited possibility to negotiate the terms of investment agreements. The aim of this article is to present the PE market and its meaning in the development of young companies. Showing in the first part of the article statistics related to management of venture capital in Poland compared to Europe and the CEE will identify tendencies in development of the Polish PE market. It will also allow estimating Poland’s chances for improving its position in the innovative European ranking and increasing Poland’s competitiveness on the international level. Emphasising the importance of startup’s education in dealing with VC funds in the second part of the study will additionally highlight the essence of their cooperation in terms of professionalization of the PE market and a growth of the country’s innovativeness

Possible causes of ADHD are approached in the paper, providing guidance for elementary school educators in their work with pupils in special schools, in special classes, as well as in the intact educational environment of regular schools. The article presents opportunities to approach individuals with mental disabilities and ADHD symptoms at school and at home, in the family environment. Handover of the buildings and equipment remaining after the dissolution of the Pauline monastery in Leśna Podlaska in 1864 to the Eastern Orthodox Church and its further history
Get PDFIn Leśna Podlaska, the image of Mother of God has been an object of worship since 1683. In 1727, the Leśna parish was taken over by monks from the Pauline Order. In 1875, on the basis of Tsar Alexander II's decree, the church in Leśna Podlaska, together with the venerated image, the great altar, and votive offerings, were handed over to the Eastern Orthodox Church. The remaining furnishings were transferred to 18 parish churches of the liquidated dioceses of Podlasie and Lublin. The organ was transferred to All Saints Church in Warsaw. The book collection of the Pauline monks from Leśna was donated to the library of the seminary in Lublin. In the years 1879–1881, the exterior of the church was changed, giving the building an appearance characteristic of Orthodox Church temples. No full textCelem niniejszego tekstu jest ukazanie wspólnych elementów poglądów Jana Amosa Komeńskiego, Wolfganga Ratkego i innych autorów ruchu dydaktycznego z poglądami filozoficznymi i pedagogicznymi Piotra Ramusa. Był on francuskim profesorem Uniwersytetu Paryskiego w XVI wieku, humanistą, logikiem i propagatorem znacznego uproszczenia treści i metod nauczania sztuk wyzwolonych. Jego traktaty były często omawiane i wydawane oraz komentowane na niemieckich uniwersytetach protestanckich w XVI-XVII wieku. Wyższa Szkoła w Herborn, gdzie Komeński studiował w latach 1611-1613, była jednym z ważniejszych centrów recepcji tak zwanej drugiej fali ramizmu (Hotson). Młody Komeński cytował wielokrotnie pisma Ramusa w swych debatach szkolnych w Herborn (1612, 1613). Profesor miał duży wpływ na formowanie poglądów encyklopedycznych i dydaktycznych Komeńskiego. Również Wolfgang Ratke, twórca niemieckiego protestanckiego ruchu dydaktycznego w drugiej dekadzie XVII wieku, pozostawał pod wpływem ramizmu.The purpose of the text is to show the relationship between the views of Jan Amos Komensky, Wolfgang Ratke and other authors of the didactic movement, and the philosophical and educational views of Peter Ramus. He was a French professor at the University of Paris in the 16th century, a humanist and logician, a proponent of a significant simplification of content and methods of teaching liberal arts. His writings were read and published in German Protestant universities in the 16th and 17th centuries. One of the most important centers of the ramism reception in Germany was the University of Herborn, where Komensky studied in the years 1611-1613. Komensky's teachers in Herborn, especially Johannes Piscator and Johann Heinrich Alsted were outstanding representatives of the so-called second wave of reception of the ramism in Germany (Hotson). Young Komensky quoted Ramus in his discussions in Herborn (1612, 1613). He had a significant impact on the formation of Komensky's encyclopedic and didactic views. Oryginalny, siedemnastowieczny tekst zostal uwspółcześniony, napisany językiem 21 wieku (zdecydowanie ułatwia to odbiór i lepsze zrozumienie staroczeskich tekstów literackich). Żeby lepiej poznać twórczość „nauczyciela narodów”, zdecydowałem się dla polskojęzycznego czytelnika przetłumaczyć wybiórczo dwa rozdziały. Skupiłem się na okresie przed- i pobiałogórskim, czyli chcę słowami Jana Amosa Komeńskiego jako naocznego świadka tamtych wydarzeń pokazać, jak żyło się w Czechach ewangelikom za Rudolfa i Maksymiliana II oraz jaki los spotkał naród czeski w początkowej fazie hegemonii Habsburgów podczas wojny trzydziestoletniej. Jest to próba ujęcia aspektów komeniologii z punktu widzenia historycznego postrzegania ważnych wydarzeń dziejów Czech w ujęciu i myśleniu koncepcyjnym Jana Amosa Komeńskiego. Tekst, oprócz wymiaru historycznego, ma również wymiar społeczny i teologiczny. Dzięki temu interdyscyplinarnemu tłumaczeniu, polski czytelnik ma lepszą możliwość zrozumienia trudnych czasami dylematów, jakie przeżywał naród czeski w tamtym okresie. W niektórych przypadkach konkretne wydarzenia mogą wydawać się dyskusyjne, a nawet kontrowersyjne, lecz takie świadectwo zostało spisane, by dalsze pokolenia wiedziały, jaki był prawdziwy los czeskich ewangelikówThis article focuses on the book by Jan Amos Komensky titled The Story of the Heavy Injury of the Czech Church in the 21st Century Language, which was written in the modern language of the 21st century (not seventeenth-century customs, which definitely facilitates reception and better understanding Old-Bohemian literary texts). To better understand the work of the „teacher of nations”, Idecided to translate two chapters selectively for a Polish-speakingreader. I focused on the period before and after White Mountain, i.e. I would like to say, in the words of Jan Amos Komenský, as an eyewitness of those events, how the Czechs lived for evangelicals for Rudolf and Maximilian II and what happened to the Czech nation in the early stages of Habsburg hegemony during the Thirty Years' War. It is an attempt to capture aspects that go towards comeniology from the point of view of the historical perception of important events in the history of the Czech Republic in the conception and conceptual thinking of Jan Amos Comenius. In addition to historical threads, the text also shows the social and theological dimension. Thanks to this interdisciplinary translation, the Polish reader has a better understanding of the sometimes difficult dilemmas that the Czech nation was experiencing at that time. udoskonalony produkt (wyrób lub usługa), proces lub metoda organizacyjna bądź
marketingowa, przynosząca korzyści dla środowiska w porównaniu do rozwiązań
alternatywnych. Celem pracy było poznanie uwarunkowań i determinant wdrażania innowacji i
ekoinnowacji w gospodarstwach rolnych na obszarach przyrodniczo cennych w dolinie
dolnego Bugu. Cel ten realizowano przy użyciu kwestionariusza ankiety. Badaniami objęto
120 rodzinnych gospodarstw rolniczych z terenu powiatu siemiatyckiego i łosickiego. W obu
powiatach objęto badaniem gospodarstwa z obszaru Natura 2000 (po 30 gospodarstw), jak i
na obszarach nie objętych tym programem (po 30 gospodarstw). W pracy założono cele
szczegółowe, które zostały zrealizowane. Pierwszym z celów szczegółowych pracy było
określenie rodzajów, struktury i charakteru innowacji i ekoinnowacji wdrażanych w
gospodarstwach rolniczych. Realizacja tego celu zaprezentowana została w rozdziale VI.
Wszystkie wdrożone przez rolników innowacje zaklasyfikowano do trzech grup,
wyodrębnionych w zależności od obszaru działalności, którego dotyczyły. Wyróżniono grupę
innowacji wprowadzonych w zakresie produkcji roślinnej, w zakresie produkcji zwierzęcej
oraz innowacje ogólnogospodarcze. Szczegółowo opisano rodzaje innowacji wprowadzanych
w ramach wyżej wymienionych grup, ich charakter i strukturę.Summary: Eco-innovation is any innovation that benefits the environment. It is a common phenomenon, penetrating many spheres, which should be limited to one sector or equated with ecological technologies, goods or services. It is a new or improved product (product or service), process or organisational or marketing method, bringing environmental benefits compared to alternative solutions. The aim of the study was to get to know the conditions and determinants of innovation and eco-innovation implementation in agricultural holdings in areas of natural value in the Lower Bug valley. This objective was achieved with the use of a questionnaire. The research included 120 family farms from Siemiatycze and Salicko poviats. In both poviats farms from the Natura 2000 area (30 farms each) as well as in areas not included in this programme (30 farms each) were included in the research. The paper sets out detailed objectives which have been achieved. The first of the detailed objectives of the study was to determine the types, structure and character of innovations and eco-innovations implemented in agricultural holdings. The implementation of this objective has been presented in Chapter VI. All innovations implemented by farmers were classified into three groups, separated depending on the area of activity they concerned. The group of innovations introduced in the field of plant production, in the field of animal production and general economic innovations were distinguished. Developed recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the proposed retail banking services through the modernization of existing and introduction of innovative ones.
