    Raw bathymetry data were collected using the ship's own Kongsberg EM120 multibeam echosounder during the RV MARIA S. MERIAN cruise MSM04/4a. The cruise took place between 2007-02-27 and 2007-03-16 (Las Palmas, Spain – Las Palmas, Spain). The main goal of the MSM04/4 cruise was to continue long-term investigations of recent environmental conditions and particle dynamics, as well as to recover sediment cores for paleoclimatic reconstructions at the NW African continental margin. During Leg MSM04/4a, bathymetry data were collected in the EEZs of Morocco and West Sahara. One sound velocity profile (SVP) was taken on 2007-02-28, which is integrated into the raw .all files. The data are archived at the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany (Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie, BSH) and provided to PANGAEA database for data curation and publication. Data are unprocessed and therefore contain incorrect depth measurements (artifacts). Data can be processed e.g. with the open source software package MB-System (Caress, D. W., and D. N.     The dataset comprises high-resolution (1-min) measurements of dissolved nitrous oxide in surface waters of the Eastern Tropical Indian Ocean. The observations were conducted during the expedition SO-303 on board R/V SONNE (January-February 2024). Seawater was drawn on board by means of a submersible pump installed at 6 m depth, and measurements of equilibrated headspace were carried out as described in Arévalo-Martínez et al.     Fatty acid profiles of Calanidae in the northern and southern Benguela Current upwelling system

    This dataset includes results from lipid analyses and fatty acid profiles of Calanidae collected during cruise M153 with RV Meteor (February 15 to March 28, 2019) and during cruise SO285 with RV Sonne (September 15 to October 7, 2021) with the same sampling scheme in the northern (nBUS) and southern (sBUS) Benguela Upwelling System. The cruises were part of the TRAFFIC (Trophic tRAnsfer eFFICiency in the Benguela Current) project. Samples were retrieved from vertical multinet Midi hauls (200 µm mesh size). The aim was to identify distribution patterns in relation to environmental conditions and the comparison of horizontal, vertical and trophic niches of close-related, similar-sized key copepod species in the BUS

    When generating high resolution paleoceanographic reconstructions for the early to middle Pleistocene sections of Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) Site U1387, it became obvious that proxy data misfits existed at most splice transitions in the shipboard splice below ~155 mcd. A revised splice was established below Core U1387B-18X based on X-ray fluorescence (XRF) derived element records (e.g., ln(Fe/Ca)) and the stable isotope records obtained for planktonic and benthic foraminifers (Voelker et al., 2018; doi: 10.2204/iodp.proc.339.204.2018). Corrections were needed at most of the splice transitions below Core U1387A-19X with adjustments ranging from a few centimeters to several meters, leading to a corrected meters composite depth (c-mcd) scale. In addition, Core U1387A-33X and sections of Core U1387A-36X were integrated into the revised splice to replace Core U1387C-2R and sections of Core U1387C-5R, respectively. The substitution of Core U1387C-2R with Core U1387A-33X is an option for the intended paleoceanographic research and not essential for lower resolution studies. Since data for samples outside the revised splice sequence will not be included in future publications, we are making the data, in particular of Cores U1387C-2R and U1387C-5R, available, so that it can be used by those working along the shipboard splice or needing such data for other interests. Consequently, this dataset provides the stable isotope data measured in G. bulloides and two epibenthic foraminifera species, the sample's dry weight and sand fraction related data as well total organic carbon, carbonate, C/N and lipid biomarker extraction derived data, where available, for Core U1387C-2R and parts of Core U1387C-5R as well as from a few other samples that are not part of the revised splice sequence

    Raw data acquired by position sensors on board RV Alkor during expedition AL630 were processed to receive a validated master track which can be used as reference of further expedition data. During AL630 data from the motion reference unit Kongsberg MRU-Z, the Trimble MPS865 GPS receiver, the Furuno GP-170 and Furuno GP-150 GPS receivers and from the NAVIGAT X MK 1 gyro compass were used to calculate the mastertrack. Data were downloaded from DAVIS SHIP data base (http://dship.bsh.de) with a resolution of 1 sec. Processing and evaluation of the data is outlined in the data processing report. Processed data are provided as a master track with 1 sec resolution derived from the position sensors' data selected by priority and a generalized track with a reduced set of the most significant positions of the master track

Raw data comprise (a) demultiplexed seismic data in seg-y format, (b) a shot list of date, time and shot-number, and (c) navigation data with date, time, and coordinates. 2.
