Video In Situ Snowfall Sensor (VISSS) data for Hyytiälä on 2024-07-09
The VISSS is a camera system recording precipitating snowfall from two perspectives. Here, movies and images of falling precipitation particles are provided for one day at station Hyytiälä. For further details on the VISSS see Maahn et al. (2024)

Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL499
Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL499. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database

All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database
Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL556
Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL556. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database
Mixed layer depth reconstructions based on dinocyst assemblage data of sediment core HU-84-030-21PC
Winter mixed layer depth (MLD) was reconstructed from the dinocyst assemblage data of sediment core HU-84-030-21PC using two different approaches: modern analogue technique (MAT) and weighted averaging partial least square (WAPLS) regression and calibration. The n = 1968 modern dinocyst database and the modern MLD climatology of 1981-2010 from the World Ocean Atlas 2018 were used as calibration dataset
