AHC interview with John White.
John White was born Hans Schwarzkopf in Vienna in 1910 where he lived at Florianigasse 61 in the eighth district. After high school, he studied romanistic at the University of Vienna. He went to Italy before the Anschluss, studied in Perugia, then taught at the Sorbonne, wrote a book about fascism in connection with de Gaulle, Kafka, Hebrew, Christian, which was favored by Mussolini. He emigrated to the USA where he became managing director of the New York City Opera. He deceased in 2001 in New York.Austrian Heritage Collectio
