Gerda Schulman, 1999Gerda Schulman (nee Lang) was born in Vienna, 1915. She managed to finish her law studies at the University of Vienna in January, 1938, just a few weeks before the "Anschluss". She fled to Amsterdam with her Dutch husband Hans Schulman; they escaped to the USA in 1939 where she started studies in psychology. She received a Master of Science Degree in 1942, and an Advanced Degree in 1951. Today, she is a well-known specialist for Family Therapy and has published a large number of scientific works. Edmund H. Immergut, 1999Edmund Heinz Immergut was born in Vienna on March 23, 1928. He went to elementary school in Vienna from 1934 until 1938. From September until December of 1938, he had to attend Chayes Gymnasium in Vienna. He fled by ship from Italy to Shanghai in January 1939. In Shanghai, he attended Public & Twos. Hanbury School (2/39 - 6/44), and then Universite L'Aurore (9/44 - 6/46). He left Shanghai in August 1946 to Berkeley, CA, where he enrolled at the University of California, Berkerley, USA.
