    No full text
Butler’s first sports teams were called the Christians, after the school’s church affiliation. Teams as early as 1906 were pictured with bulldog-like mascots, but the name stuck after a cartoon appeared in the student paper in 1919, showing a bulldog going after Brother John, symbolizing the Franklin Baptists. Blue attened the NCAA Men's Final Four Basketball Tournment at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2010.Use of this image is restricted to projects related to Destination Indiana. You Are There 1924: Tool Guys and Tin Lizzies.

A photograph can tell the story of a moment or it can tell the story of a time. The You Are There experience gives guests a chance to step into a photograph from the Indiana Historical Society collections and be a part of the scene. Each photograph is specially selected for the stories it tells about Indiana’s past. IHS staff then recreates the scene in detail and learns the stories it can tell. The past comes alive as interpreters share the experience with guests. The original image is a glass plate negative. Examining it for clues, the name can be read in the window. Filed along with it is another negative showing the exterior of the building and the car dealer next door. This hinted at the reason why there were vehicles inside what was named as a plumbing workshop. The automobile dealer next door might have a connection. Knowing that the photograph was made in Hartford City, IHS staff started to research with a recent history of Blackford County.Destination Indiana - You Are There 1924: Tool Guys and Tin Lizzies Journe
