Deconstructing Religiosity-Green Finance Relationship: The Role of Organizational Factors
Research originality: This study links religiosity to green finance in emerging-market banks, highlighting internal drivers, green HRM, organizational identity, and leadership over external pressures. It uniquely shows how personal beliefs shape sustainable finance through cultural and theoretical pathways. Research objectives: The research aims to examine how religiosity affects the willingness of banks to engage in green finance, and under what conditions this relationship is strengthened. Research methods: The research employs a quantitative survey method involving employees across both private and state-owned banking institutions within the specified province, involving a cross-section of 43 banks. Structural equation modelling is used to test the hypothesised relationships. Empirical result: The results reveal that religiosity influences green finance indirectly through the enhancement of internal organisational capacities. Specifically, religiosity strengthens environmental values and practices within human resource systems, leadership approaches, and organisational identity, which in turn foster commitment to green financial strategies. Implications: These findings highlight the strategic importance of cultural and leadership-based resources in promoting environmental sustainability in the banking sector
A Study on the Adaptability of Interactivity Freedom Under Different Narrative Perspectives
With the deepening application of VR technology in the field of animation, the narrative methods of VR animation have undergone significant changes compared to traditional animation. However, the relationship between narrative perspective and interactivity freedom has not yet been systematically explored. Addressing this research gap, this paper proposes a study on the adaptability of interactivity freedom under different narrative perspectives, aiming to reveal the adaptation patterns that exist between narrative perspective and interactivity freedom in VR animation. The article first analyzes the differences between VR animation and traditional animation, pointing out that VR animation achieves identity reconstruction for the audience in the virtual world through interactive narrative. Subsequently, this paper elaborates on the dynamic coupling relationship between narrative perspective and interactivity freedom, and further proposes adaptation principles for interactivity freedom under different narrative perspectives. Finally, the article concludes that narrative perspective and interactivity freedom are interdependent; designers need to flexibly combine and adjust presets to create animation works, providing theoretical reference for VR animation creation

Biomechanical effects of spinal orthoses on the trunk during a sit-to-stand-to-sit task
Background: Spinal orthoses can be used to limit active Range of Motion (RoM) in different directions and to support trunk extension, however their effect on movement and muscle activity remains uncertain.
Objective: This study explored the effects of two semi-rigid spinal orthoses on trunk kinematics and muscle activity compared to no brace. Study Design: A pre-clinical, feasibility study.
Methods: Markerless motion capture and surface electromyography was collected from twenty healthy participants each performing 5 repetitions of a sit-to-stand-to-sit task under three conditions: No Brace (NB), Brace A (Medi Spinomed®, Bayreuth, Germany) and Brace B (DonJoy® Osteostrap, Enovis, UK). Repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to evaluate trunk kinematics and muscle activity between conditions.
Results: During sit-to-stand, average muscle activity of the dominant latissimus dorsi was significantly reduced in Brace A compared to NB (MD=0.13, p=0.019), but there were no differences between Brace A and Brace B (MD=-0.08, p=0.097). During both standing and sitting, participants were significantly more flexed forward in Brace A compared to NB (MD=1.65 - 2.23, p<0.015) and Brace B (MD=1.46 - 1.55, p=0.040). During stand-to-sit, peak extension angular velocity significantly increased in Brace A and Brace B compared to NB (MD=5.74, p=0.011, MD=6.68, p=0.046 respectively). Central tendencies for perceived comfort were ‘comfortable’ for both Braces, and perceived ease of task performance was ‘very easy’ for Brace A and ‘easy’ for Brace B, with brace preference split equally.
Conclusions: Active RoM was not limited using either brace, however these did assist movement into extension, which may offer a clinical benefit, with small changes also seen in latissimus dorsi muscle activity. Further work including clinical populations is warranted using intervention periods that reflects clinical practice
TCT-518 Impact of Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction on Outcomes with Drug-Coated Balloon versus Drug-Eluting Stent for de novo Coronary Artery Disease: Insights from the REC-CAGEFREE I Trial
Background
The impact of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) on clinical outcomes in patients treated with drug-coated balloon (DCB) versus drug-eluting stent (DES) for de novo coronary lesions remains unclear.
Methods
REC-CAGEFREE I was an investigator-initiated, non-inferiority trial conducted at 43 sites in China, which randomized 2272 patients to paclitaxel-coated balloon with the option of rescue stenting (DCB group) or sirolimus-eluting stents (DES group) for treating de novo lesions, regardless of vessel diameter. In this pre-specified subgroup analysis, patients were stratified by baseline LVEF (<55% and ≥55%). The primary endpoint was the device-oriented composite endpoint (DoCE, defined as a composite of cardiovascular death, target vessel myocardial infarction, and clinically and physiologically indicated target lesion revascularization) at 2 years.
Results
Among 2194 (96.4%) patients with available baseline LVEF, 1792 (81.7%) had LVEF≥55% and 402 (18.3%) had LVEF<55%. At 2 years, patients with LVEF<55% was associated with a numerically higher risk of DoCE (26/402 [6.5%] versus 81/1792 [4.5%], DifferenceIPTW: 1.62%, 95%CI: -0.93 to 4.16, P =0.214) and a significantly higher risk of cardiovascular death compared to LVEF≥55% (16/402 [4.0%] versus 23/1792 [1.3%], DifferenceIPTW: 2.40%, 95%CI: 0.48 to 4.31, P =0.014). A significant treatment-by-LVEF interaction was observed for DoCE (Pinteraction =0.028). In patients with LVEF<55%, DoCE occurred in 22/206 (10.7%) and 4/196 (2.1%) in the DCB and DES groups (DifferenceIPTW: 7.31%, 95%CI: 2.93 to 11.69, P =0.001), respectively; in patients with LVEF≥55%, DoCE occurred in48/886 (5.4%) and 33/906 (3.7%) in the DCB and DES groups (DifferenceIPTW: 2.06%, 95%CI: 0.06 to 4.07, P =0.044), respectively.
Conclusion
In de novo coronary artery disease, DCB was associated with a higher risk of DoCE compared to DES, especially in patients with LVEF<55%
A 2D Co-MOF nanosheet for boosting the alkaline water splitting through electrocatalytic urea oxidation
Alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and urea oxidation reaction (UOR) is gaining considerable interest for boosting the overall water splitting in the context of green hydrogen production with simultaneous deurefication from wastewater. In this work, we have successfully synthesized a novel cobalt based two dimensional (2D) metal–organic framework (MOF), (named as Co-IDBA-MOF) by solvothermal method using mixed ligand system consisting of 2,2′-iminodibenzoic acid (IDBA) and 4,4′-bipyridine (Bpy). The single crystal X-ray analysis of Co-IDBA-MOF confirms its layered 2D structure. The bulk specimen of MOF was further characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, UV-Visible spectroscopic analysis. Field emission scanning electron microscopic (FE-SEM), field emission gun transmission electron microscopic (FEG-TEM) and atomic force microscopic (AFM) analyses uncovered its ultrathin 2D nanosheet-type morphology, which facilitates the fabrication of 2D material for potential fabrication of real device. This Co-IDBA-MOF shows a good performance in alkaline HER at -0.241 V w.r.t RHE for 10 mA cm-2 current density (ȵ10) and a modest oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity (1.66 V for 10 mA cm-2 w.r.t RHE) in alkaline water medium. However, the anodic potential gets drastically reduced to 1.55 V after 0.33 (M) of urea addition due to urea oxidation reaction (UOR). Further modification over the Ni-foam (NF) reduced this potential to 1.59 V in the case of UOR. The lowering of Tafel slope and a concomitant increase of double layer capacitance for alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and concomitant urea oxidation reaction (UOR) suggested the better kinetics for overall water splitting after urea addition. Further variation of urea concentration and the concentration of electrode material tunes the UOR activity. How should trauma discussions be approached in maternity care? Perspectives from a qualitative study with women, voluntary sector representatives and healthcare providers in the UK
Background
Many pregnant women have a history of trauma, such as abuse or violence, which can significantly impact their mental and physical health. Discussing these experiences in maternity care presents an opportunity to support women, reduce stigma and connect them with resources. However, concerns persist about stigmatisation, re-traumatisation and unwarranted safeguarding referrals.
The objective of this study was to explore how trauma discussions should be approached in maternity care, drawing on the perspectives of women with lived experience, voluntary sector representatives and healthcare providers in the UK. Findings aim to inform the development of a future intervention.
Methods
Semistructured interviews were conducted with women with trauma histories (experts by experience; n=4), representatives of voluntary sector organisations (n=7) and healthcare providers (n=12). Reflexive thematic analysis was used to analyse the data. A qualitative content analysis approach was employed, supported by a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement group (named as the ‘Research Collective’ for this study) comprising experts by experience, maternity care professionals and voluntary sector practitioners. The group contributed to both study design and data analysis.
Findings
Five descriptive categories emerged: (1) Rationale for discussions —whether and why trauma should be addressed; (2) Professionals and settings —who should lead discussions and in what environment; (3) Timing considerations —when discussions should occur; (4) Communicating about trauma —strategies to sensitively explore prior trauma; and (5) Supporting care providers —training and emotional support needs. Participants highlighted both the benefits of trauma discussions and the practical, emotional and systemic challenges involved.
Conclusion
Trauma discussions in maternity care are complex but essential. Findings provide practical, UK-specific insights into timing, communication and staff support considerations, highlighting the need for culturally sensitive, co-designed approaches to facilitate safe and effective trauma-informed care
Contested citizenship in the liminal spaces of a divided Cyprus
This article combines the critical citizenship literature with geographical conceptions of spatial politics to analyse contentions in Cyprus, a context where the basic notions of national community are embroiled in a frozen conflict. It looks at people who are not paradigmatic citizens and juxtaposes the legal dimensions and the lived realities of their citizenship. More specifically, we focus on three communities who are not part of the primary body politic: 1) Greek Cypriots who live in the ‘Turkish’ North; 2) Turkish Cypriots who live in the ‘Greek’ South; and 3) asylum-seekers who get stuck in the buffer zone between the two. The article draws on both legal scholarship and fieldwork methods. It makes a case for understanding legal realities through the interplay of law, political conflict dynamics, and people’s everyday practices. This interplay generates disparate consequences for different kinds of citizens and non-citizens in Cyprus. On the one hand, being ‘out of place’ generates precarities. The people concerned experience major rights violations and aspects of de facto statelessness. On the other hand, this same constellation generates political significance in the broader conflict landscape. This raises the political stakes and therefore the ability to attract state attention

The American Heart Association (AHA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) produce a joint statistical report annually relating to heart disease, stroke, and cardiovascular risk factors associated with cardiovascular health. The report provides important information for clinicians, scholars, researchers, lay public, policymakers, media professionals, and health care administrators, government health advocates, and others in public health areas. This mini-review highlights the important issues in the 2025 report. It is concluded that Governments and multilateral organizations should prioritize not only heart disease and stroke but also pandemic preparedness planning alongside efforts to reduce the burden of diseases and injuries that will strain resources in the future
View Point. The Top Research Papers on Chronic Heart Failure Published in Recent Years
Globally, the morbidity and mortality of chronic heart failure (CHF) are quite high, although there is an increase in the availability of cutting-edge diagnostic tools, effective drug therapies, and several guidelines for management of heart failure (HF). This study was designed to compile and assess ten moderately high-impact research papers published in 2024 on CHF. The top ten papers are related to the treatment of HF using semaglutide, tirzepatide, tadafil, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), transcatheter mitral-valve repair, and Heart-Mate3, a magnetically continuous flow left ventricular device (LVAD) and they reported acceptable results
