Danach erfolgt die Simulation des parallelen Roboters in der Visualisierungsumgebung von ROS RViz.Robot Operating System (ROS) is a framework for controlling robots that enables communication between different robot modules. It also provides complete solution for forward and inverse kinematics of serial robots. However, for parallel robots, kinematics calculation must be done individually. These are characterized by long, nested formulas, which increases the likelihood of errors in programming. The geometric mathematics software GeoGebra can be implemented to overcome this problem. By geometrically modelling the parallel robot in GeoGebra, every step in kinematics calculation can be traced and checked against the result from the programming in ROS. This allows errors in the formulas to be detected and corrected more quickly. Then, the parallel robot is simulated in the visualization environment in ROS RViz

Electrical assemblies contain networks of varying voltages between which short circuits can form either by sparkover through the air (clearance) or across the surfaces of insulators (creepage). AutoCrear offers a robust and efficient software-based analysis of all clearances and creepage distances on CAD data of electrical assemblies. For the first time, developers of electrical assemblies have a robust tool at their disposal to detect all standard violations already in the design phase. A comprehensive and uniform documentation regarding clearance and creepage distances is automatically created. AutoCrear is a standalone solution that combines the complete workflow of a clearance and creepage distance analysis in a single programme. In this thesis, a context-aware, personalized virtual assistant for use in automobiles is presented. With the increasing use of technology in automobiles, there is a growing need for safer and more practical ways for drivers to access information and perform tasks while driving. Voice-based interfaces, such as natural language processing, provide a solution to this problem as they do not require visual or manual input. In this thesis, a fine-tuned model of GPT-3 is used to understand user intentions and identify the user’s needs. The voice assistant is trained to understand the environment and the actions it can perform. The use of triggers such as drowsiness detection is also implemented to make the virtual assistant proactive in ensuring the user’s safety. User testing and evaluation was conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the context-aware, personalized virtual assistant in improving the driving experience and promoting safe driving practices

Data Augmentation GUI Tool for Machine Learning Models

    No full text
The industrial production of semiconductor assemblies is subject to high requirements. As a result, several tests are needed in terms of component quality. In the long run, manual quality assurance (QA) is often connected with higher expenditures. Using a technique based on machine learning, some of these tests may be carried out automatically. Deep neural networks (NN) have shown to be very effective in a diverse range of computer vision applications. Especially convolutional neural networks (CNN), which belong to a subset of NN, are an effective tool for image classification. Deep NNs have the disadvantage of requiring a significant quantity of training data to reach excellent performance. When the dataset is too small a phenomenon known as overfitting can occur. Massive amounts of data cannot be supplied in certain contexts, such as the production of semiconductors. This is especially true given the relatively low number of rejected components in this field. In order to prevent overfitting, a variety of image augmentation methods may be used to the process of artificially creating training images. However, many of those methods cannot be used in certain fields due to their inapplicability. For this thesis, Infineon Technologies AG provided the images of a semiconductor component generated by an ultrasonic microscope. The images can be categorized as having a sufficient number of good and a minority of rejected components, with good components being defined as components that have been deemed to have passed quality control and rejected components being components that contain a defect and did not pass quality control. The accomplishment of the project, the efficacy with which it is carried out, and its level of quality may be dependent on a number of factors; however, selecting the appropriate tools is one of the most important of these factors because it enables significant time and resource savings while also producing the best results. We demonstrate a data augmentation graphical user interface (GUI) tool that has been widely used in the domain of image processing. Using this method, the dataset size has been increased while maintaining the accuracy-time trade-off and optimizing the robustness of deep learning models. The purpose of this work is to develop a user-friendly tool that incorporates traditional, advanced, and smart data augmentation, image processing, and machine learning (ML) approaches. More specifically, the technique mainly uses are zooming, rotation, flipping, cropping, GAN, fusion, histogram matching, autoencoder, image restoration, compression etc. This focuses on implementing and designing a MATLAB GUI for data augmentation and ML models. The thesis was carried out for the Infineon Technologies AG in order to address a challenge that all semiconductor industries experience. The key objective is not only to create an easy- to-use GUI, but also to ensure that its users do not need advanced technical experiences to operate it. This GUI may run on its own as a standalone application. Which may be implemented everywhere for the purposes of data augmentation and classification. The objective is to streamline the working process and make it easy to complete the Quality assurance job even for those who are not familiar with data augmentation, machine learning, or MATLAB. In addition, research will investigate the benefits of data augmentation and image processing, as well as the possibility that these factors might contribute to an improvement in the accuracy of AI models

Efficient Generation of Standard Customer Reports for Airbag Simulation Results

    Get PDF
Passive safety systems like airbags have significantly improved road safety. These occupant safety systems help in reducing the severity of injuries, and save lives in the event of a road accident. The airbag systems must be configured correctly to minimize the impact of collision and protect the occupants. To configure the airbag, test crashes are performed and data is recorded. This data is simulated to find out appropriate parameters for the airbag deployment. The airbag simulation results are stored into databases. Airbag application tools are used to handle the data stored in databases. The airbag simulation results must be extracted efficiently and required computations needs to be performed. This data is then stored to reports. RSDBnext is an airbag application tool, it stands for Result Database next generation. This tool is used for extraction of data from the database. The RSDBnext tool should be adapted to generate Standard Customer Reports. These reports are to be generated based on customer requirements. The existing methodology to generate Standard Customer Reports used Excel macros, which took a lot of time to generate the reports. This method was complex and unstable. Hence, a new methodology was proposed without using macros. In the proposed method, an XML file and XSLT StyleSheet were used to generate the report in Excel using C# with Visual Studio. This approach reduces report generation time, and overcomes the drawbacks of the previous approach. From the results, this methodology to generate reports is faster, easier, and more reliable

Design and Development of a Concierge Bot Concept as Proof of Concept

    No full text
In the world of Artificial intelligence, chatbots are a very useful application for the humans to receive answers quickly and solve their problem. However, it has been observed that various departments within a company have diverse use cases or domains, which has contributed to the rise of chatbots. Owing to this, it will be challenging for customers to find the most suitable chatbot for their concern but also to place these chatbots that are geared toward external customers on a single webpage. This thesis has proposed the idea to develop a Concierge bot as a proof of concept and offer the best outcomes in all feasible circumstances as well as the practical potential in order to prevent these problems. In this project, a Concierge bot has been implemented that can access the NLUs of the client bot and route customers to the right client chatbot based on their requests. The Cognigy platform was utilized to develop the client chatbots, including the Concierge bot, and an external Concierge service (Azure Function) was used to send HTTP requests to numerous client bots concurrently. The obtained results in terms of performance with various client bot responses and customer interaction are quite promising. The successful implementation of the proposed idea has also brought up a variety of opportunities and challenges for the subsequent work

Combinatorial Properties of Periodic Patterns in Compressed Strings

    No full text
In this thesis, we study the following three types of periodic string patterns and some of their variants. Firstly, we consider maximal d-repetitions. These are substrings that are at least 2+d times as long as their minimum period. Secondly, we consider 3-cadences. These are arithmetic subsequence of three equal characters. Lastly, we consider maximal pairs. These are pairs of identical substrings. Maximal d-repetitions and maximal pairs of uncompressed strings are already well-researched. However, no non-trivial upper bound for distinct occurrences of these patterns that take the compressed size of the underlying strings into account were known prior to this research. We provide upper bounds for several variants of these two patterns that depend on the compressed size of the string, the logarithm of the string's length, the highest allowed power and d. These results also lead to upper bounds and new insights for the compacted directed acyclic word graph and the run-length encoded Burrows-Wheeler transform. We prove that cadences with three elements can be efficiently counted in uncompressed strings and can even be efficiently detected on grammar-compressed binary strings. We also show that even slightly more difficult variants of this problem are already NP-hard on compressed strings. Along the way, we extend the underlying geometry of the convolution from rectangles to arbitrary polygons. We also prove that this non-rectangular convolution can still be efficiently computed.:1 Introduction 2 Preliminaries 3 Non-Rectangular Convolution 4 Alphabet Reduction 39 5 Maximal (Sub-)Repetitions 6 Cadences 7 Maximal Pairs A Proposition

From this consideration, the goal is derived to implement a contactless drive system for belt conveyors in intralogistics with small deflection radii. After explaining the state of the art, the drive principle of the induction motor was chosen in terms of economical production of the entire conveyor. When designing the motor rotor, copper was the first material chosen because of its electrical properties. For this purpose, the material variants are examined in detail. For the geometric dimensioning of the rotor, the mechanical stress and the influence of the strain rate on the belt deflections are analyzed. The necessary bending parameters have been determined for the preferred material Cu-PHC in a specially developed test bench. Based on the results, a rotor life can be estimated at a given deflection radius. The required conveying speed is the decisive criterion for the implementation of the drive system. The dimensioning of the motor stator must be based on this. Due to the low speed that can be implemented and the economical production, concentrated windings have been considered and various variants have been calculated. In this context effects of the linear machines are explained. The calculation results are verified using a prototype and the drive system is then evaluated. At low conveying speeds, only low motor efficiencies can be achieved.

In addition, the development of a business game according to the Design Science Research approach is presented, considering scientific and practical requirements. In order to prove the effectiveness of business games in short-term as well as in long-term, empirical data and differentiated statements are needed, which success- or learning-effective aspects have to be implemented in business games. For this purpose, a mixed methods research design was employed using questionnaires, storytelling and picture interviews to examine which influencing variables have an effect on the learning effects and acceptance of business games. The results show that different variables influence the learning effects and the acceptance of business games depending on the time period and the participants. Within the framework of the dissertation, an evaluated production-related business game has been developed that simulates the elements and processes of a socio-technical system and can be used in vocational training for different learners. Moreover, the work offers a contribution to the assessment of causal and cause-effect relationships in business games. Thus, the methods used for business game evaluation are extended and previous studies in business game research are complemented.:1 Einleitung 2 Stand der Wissenschaft und Technik 3 Iterative Entwicklung des Artefakts Planspiel 4 Evaluation der Einflussgrößen des Planspiels 5 Ergebnisse der empirischen Untersuchungen 6 Diskussion 7 Schlussbetrachtung Anlage A Ergänzendes Material zur theoretischen Fundierung Anlage B Ergänzendes Material zur iterativen Entwicklung und Evaluation Anlage C Ergänzendes Material der quantitativen Untersuchung Anlage D Ergänzendes Material zu den Storytelling-Interviews Anlage E Ergänzendes Material zu den Bild-Interviews Anlage F Zusammenfassende Übersichte
