要約：里山研究フィールドでは 2019年 4月より、UAVによる植生観測を月に 2～4回の頻度で継続的
に行っており、これまで 118回の観測を行なってきた。UAVによる植生観測は地上観測よりも観測
域が広く、航空機よりも観測コストが低く、さらに高解像度・高頻度で行えるメリットがある。その
ため、気象や昆虫・鳥類といった異なる事象や種との関係性を知る上で有用な観測データになる可
能性がある。そこで筆者等は、2019年 4月から里山研究フィールドの植生を観測したデータを里山
工学のホームページから一般公開している。公開している観測データは、観測シーン毎に観測日、
天候、観測開始時刻、観測終了時刻、観測中央時刻、観測中央時刻時の太陽高度と太陽方位を公開
している。さらに、地上分解能 20 cmのオルソ画像（正射投影画像）をダウンロードできる。今後、
里山研究フィールドにおける横断研究による新しい知見の発見に発展していくことを期待し、公開
データに関する観測エリアや観測機材、幾何補正等について解説する。
1.はじめに
2019 年 4 月から筆者らは里山研究フィールドを
使って、UAV（ドローン / Unmanned Aerial Vehicle）
を用いた植生観測を月に 2～4回の頻度で行なってい
る。そして、筆者らの研究では、観測した植生デー
タを用いて植生の生物季節を観測するための画像
校正手法を開発しており、すでに 2つの手法を発表
している 1)。植物の生物季節観測とは、季節に応じ
て変化する植物の開花や展葉、紅葉といった植物イ
ベントを継続的に観測するもので、生物多様性の評
価や、気候変動の影響評価などの基礎データとして
近年注目されている。日本では気象庁が 1953年か
ら継続して行なっており、2021年 3月には生物季節
観測の発展的活用に向けて環境省や国立環境研究
所と連携した新たな試行調査を開始する声明を発
表した。一方で、現在は目視による観測手法を用い
ており、観測者の熟練度によって影響をうける問題
や、観測者の高齢化、担い手の不足など課題も抱え
ているため、新たな手法開発が求められている。
現在、植生観測のために一般的に利用されている
観測プラットフォームには、地上・航空機・人工衛
星があり、航空機や人工衛星による植生の観測デー
タは無料で公開されているものも少なくない。一
方で UAVは地上観測よりも観測域が広く、航空機
よりも観測コストが低く、さらに高解像度・高頻度
で植生観測が行えるため、気象や昆虫・鳥類といっ
た異なる事象や種との関係性を知る上で有用な観
測データになる可能性がある。しかし UAVは 2010
年代から普及し始めた比較的新しい観測プラット
フォームであり、植生の観測データは公開されてい
るものが無く、自身で取得する以外に一般に入手す
ることができない。
そこで筆者等は、2019年 4月から里山研究フィー

ページから一般公開している 2)。現在は 2021年 5月
末の時点で約 100観測シーン分のオルソ画像をダウ
ンロードできるようにしている。本稿では公開して
いる観測データについて、観測エリアや観測機材、
幾何補正等について解説する。
2.観測エリアとデータについて
2.1 観測エリア
観測対象エリアは、本学香美キャンパスから直
線で約 3 kmの距離にある里山研究フィールドの内
300 m×300 mの範囲である（図 1）3)。観測エリアは
谷地形で起伏に富んだ環境となっており、図上部の
北から南にかけて川が流れる谷筋がある。周辺の植
生は、人工林のスギ、ヒノキが最も多く、常緑広葉
樹、落葉針葉樹、落葉広葉樹、竹林や草地といった
豊富な植生も見られる。
2.2 主な撮影機材とカメラ設定
植生観測にはこれまで 2台の回転翼型の UAVを
用いている。図 2に使用したUAVの写真を示す。主
にDJI社 Inspire2を用いており、2020年 11月から 12
月初旬までは、諸事情により同メーカーの Inspire1
を用いた。UAVに搭載するカメラの諸元と設定を
表 1に示す。
UAVの撮影と操縦はメーカーが提供するオペレー
ションアプリ「DJI GS Pro」を用いた自動飛行によっ
て行った。撮影設定では、カメラを垂直下に向けた
等距離間隔撮影を設定しており、Inspire2における
撮影コース上のオーバーラップ率は 90 %、コース
間のサイドラップ率は 75 %とした。Inspire1の場合
は視野角が広いため、撮影コース上のオーバーラッ
プ率は 90 %、コース間のサイドラップ率は 85 %と
なった。対地高度は、離発着地点で 135 m固定で設
定した。その結果離発着地点における地上分解能

は、Inspire2が約 3 cm、Inspire1が約 6 cmであった。
しかし、観測フィールドは谷地形で高低差がおよそ
80 mあるうえに、植生の樹高は様々であるため、地
上分解能は一律ではない。
2.3 観測データ
2019年 4月 5日から 2021年 5月 22日まで 118回
の植生観測を行なっており、そのうち 18シーンは
撮影中の天候の変化や、突風による対空標識のずれ
などの理由により利用できない観測シーンとなって
いる。これまでの観測シーンの内、利用可能な観測
シーンを表 2に示す。観測エリアにおける観測時間
は撮影開始から終了まで約 10分かかり、撮影枚数
は約 220枚である。2021年 5月まで行った観測は 82
日分になり、使用できる観測シーンは合計 100シー
ンとなった。内訳は晴れの日が 59シーン、曇りの
日が 41シーンである。なお、本研究では晴れの日
を「観測中に太陽が常に出ており、地上に影がある
観測シーン」、曇りの日を「目視による雲量 9以上
（日本式天気記号）かつ観測中太陽が常に雲に隠れ、
地上に影が無い観測シーン」と定義している。

2.4 幾何補正と使用データ作成
観測シーンは地図上に重ね合わせられるように、
地上基準点を用いて幾何補正を施している。図 3に
幾何補正に使用した地上基準点を示す。観測エリア
には地上基準点 Pを 8点、幾何補正の精度検証のた
めの検証点Vを 1点設けている。観測エリアは標高
差が大きいため、UAVの離発着地点（P1付近）周
辺（P1, P2, V1, P3）や周辺道路沿いの低地から高地
にかけて（P4, P8, P7, P6, P5）配置している。基準
点を用いての幾何補正は、Agisoft社の写真測量ソ
フトウェアMetashapeを用いた SfM（Structure from
Motion /三次元復元技術）による点群作成時に行っ
た。表 3に幾何補正の精度を、各シーン毎の地上基
準点 P計 8点の誤差の平均値と検証点Vとの誤差か
ら求めた全シーン平均値と標準偏差を示す。SfMで

得られたランダムな点群データは等間隔に再配列
することで、樹種分類に用いるオルソ画像や DSM
（Digital Surface Model / 数値標高モデル）画像の作
成に利用した。この時点で作成された DSM画像と
オルソ画像の地上分解能は、幾何補正精度結果から
20 cmにダウンスケールすることで、幾何補正精度
による誤分類の影響を緩和した。
3.公開している観測データ
現在里山工学のホームページ 2)では、観測シーン
毎に観測日、天候、観測開始時刻、観測終了時刻、
観測中央時刻、観測中央時刻時の太陽高度と太陽
方位を公開している。そして、オルソ画像はダウン
ロードできるように公開している。オルソ画像の例
を図 4に示す。地上分解能は 20 cmである。オルソ
画像は曇りの観測シーンの方が、日影が無く、光源
が雲の散乱光に絞られているため見やすい。さら
に、観測シーンごとの幾何補正精度についても公開
している。オルソ画像は GeoTiff形式で保存されて
おり、QGIS等のGIS（Geographic Information System
/地理情報システム）ソフトウェアを用いて重ね合
わせられる。地図の投影に用いる座標系は、日本国
内を測量するために策定された平面直角座標系の
四国区域（区域番号 IV）を用いている。
4.おわりに
本稿では、2019年 4月から里山研究フィールドを

用いて行なっている UAVを用いた植生観測データ
について解説した。植生観測データは本学の里山研
究フィールドのホームページに公開しており、オル
ソ画像をダウンロードすることが可能である。筆
者らは今後同フィールド内ですすめている林内の植
生観測データについても同様に公開することを予
定している。里山研究フィールドではそのほかにも
気象データや雨量データ、野鳥の音声データなど、
いくつかの観測も同時に行われている。これらの観
測データが今後、里山研究フィールドにおける横断
研究による新しい知見の発見に発展していくこと
を期待している。

Status of Vegetation Observation Using UAV in
SATOYAMA Research Field

Abstract: Since April 2019, the Satoyama Research Field has been conducting vegetation observations by unmanned
aerial vehicles (UAV) 2 to 4 times a month, and 118 observations have been made so far. Vegetation observations by
UAV have the advantage of the observation range being wider than ground observation, the observation cost is lower than
that of aircraft, and they can be carried out using high resolution and high frequency. Therefore, the observation data
may be useful for understanding the relationship between different events and species such as weather, insects and birds.
Since April 2019, the authors have released the data obtained by observing the vegetation in the Satoyama Research Field
using UAV from the Satoyama Engineering website. This report describes the observation area, observation equipment,
geometric correction, etceteras related to public data. The published observation data discloses the observation date,
weather, observation start time, end time, and central time, as well as solar altitude and solar azimuth at the observation
central time for each observation scene. In addition, ortho images with a ground resolution of 20 cm are available for
download. In the future, we hope that this will develop into the discovery of new findings through cross-sectional research
in the Satoyama research field.

論 文 内 容 の 要 旨 
 
Individuals’ behaviors are driven not only by economic decisions, but also by social preferences (i.e. human 
tendency to care not only about his/her own payoff, but also care about others pay off). However, in the 
current world of uncertainty, people try to maximize their own benefits without considering how such 
behavior can affect other people and society as a whole. Thus, in such context it is necessary to understand the 
human prosociality that might enhance the sustainable development of the society. To this purpose, this thesis 
aims to understand the mechanism of prosocial attitude and behavior in two contextually different situations 
and how such mechanism can motivate people for the betterment of the society. For this, we apply a 
questionnaire survey and an experimental methods and collects primary data to understand peoples’ prosocial 
attitude and behavior at individual level. 
 Study 1 in this thesis scrutinized the mutual helping behavior of the people which is one of the 
essence of prosocial behavior. In this study we examine the impact of the accumulative effects (over the few 
years since the occurrence of the earthquake 2015) of the reciprocal exchange of social support on depression 
among the survivors in an earthquake-damaged community in a rural village in Nepal. A questionnaire survey 
was conducted among the 295 survivors, collecting the information related to socio-demographic variables, 
mutual helping behavior among the survivors and a depression measuring scale using Patient Health 
Questionnaire (PHQ-9). The statistical analysis show that relationship between reciprocal exchange of support 
and depression varied depending upon the types of support. The results show that helping others emotionally 
is possible in disaster situations whereas helping others instrumentally can be difficult to implement and is 
problematic. Thus, mutual assistance could be one of the possible mechanism that can predispose people to 
help others.  
 In the second study we examine the individual’s waste related attitude (preferences are considered as 
attitudes) that might influence people to help others. For this we design and develop the new strategy in 
reference to future design and test its efficacy through the deliberative field experiment. For this we developed 
the case method materials and prepared three treatment groups. A total of 290 participants took part in the 
experiment. The statistical analysis show that the adopted strategy can influence people attitudes for 
sustainable policy option for the solid waste management problems. The findings indicate that helping others 
instrumentally is possible if people can internalize the social norms for outcomes that benefit others. 
 In the third study we investigate how visioning can motivate young people to donate for solid waste

management issues. We implemented a dictator game (donation for the management of the solid waste), 
social value orientation (SVO) game and socio-demographic questionnaire in each treatment group to collect 
the necessary information about donations, prosociality and socio-demographic variables and test whether 
vision influences young people’s donation preferences for solid waste management problems. A total of 253 
subjects took part in an experiment. A statistical analysis show that vision motivate the young people to donate 
for sustainable waste management problems. Overall the results show that vision motivate young people to 
change their attitudes (preferences) for solid waste management problems that benefit others.
