    シーベリー抽出物の生理機能に関する研究

    北見工業大学博士Sea buckthorn is a deciduous shrub of the Elaeagnaceae family native to Europe and Asia. Sea buckthorn berry (SBB) is pale yellow to dark orange in color, rich in nutrients, and many other researchers have reported a variety of biological functions associated with them. In this study, we have investigated the suppressive effect of sea buckthorn berry extract and its fractions on Type-I allergy using mast cell lines in vitro. An SBB fraction containing the highest amount of antioxidant polyphenols significantly inhibited the release of chemical mediators, such as histamine and leukotriene (LT) B4, from stimulated mast cells. This fraction also inhibited Ca2+ influx and phosphorylation of tyrosine residues of proteins, including spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk), which is associated with the signal transduction of chemical mediators released from stimulated mast cells. And we identified isorhamnetin, the predominant flavonol aglycon in this fraction. Isorhamnetin inhibited the histamine and LTB4 release from stimulated cells and suppressed intracellular Ca2+ influx. These results suggest that isorhamnetin is the primary substance responsible for the anti-allergic activity in SBB. In conclusion, SBB may alleviate Type-I allergy by inhibiting the release of chemical mediators from mast cells, and the polyphenols may contribute to this effect.doctoral thesi

    氷板厚計算式に基づく実用的な解氷時期推定手法の開発

    本研究の目的は,アイスジャム発生前に現れる解氷時期の推定手法の開発である.解氷時期に氷板厚が減少するため,氷板厚の計算式の精度向上を試みた.積雪・融雪・降雨を考慮した氷板厚計算式は,計算値の精度が高いことを示し,支配的なパラメーターは計算上の最小水温であることが分かった.解氷時期を推定する指標として,氷板厚の変動加速度PBを提案した.6つの入力値を用いる実用的な解氷時期推定手法を開発した.本手法は,アイスジャム発生付近でPBのピークが現れており,安全側で解氷時期を推定した.本手法においては,全面結氷時の氷板厚も重要なパラメーターであることが分かった.journal articl

    Equilibrium pressure measurements and Raman spectroscopic analysis of N2O hydrate

    本研究では N2Oハイドレートの4重点近傍における平衡圧の精密測定を行い,解離熱および水和数を求めた.平衡圧曲線からクラウジウス=クラペイロン方程式を適用して,4重点における解離熱を求めた結果,24.3 ± 0.8 kJ mol−1(ハイドレート→ガス+氷),および68.1 ± 0.4 kJ mol−1(ハイドレート→ガス+水)となった. 熱量計を用いて直接測定された解離熱は22.5 ± 0.2 kJ mol−1(ハイドレート→ガス+氷)であり,平衡圧曲線から求めた値よりやや小さかった.また,4重点における2つの解離熱から推定された水和数は7.3 ± 0.2となり,大ケージ占有率 100%を仮定した場合,小ケージ占有率は 7~24%であることがわかった.また,4重点近傍の温度圧力にて生成した N2Oハイドレートの水和数をラマン分光分析によって求めた.その結果,水和数は6.6 ± 0.2の範囲にあり,4重点近傍の生成圧力では水和数が大きく変化することが示唆された.journal articl

    Distinct color changes in hydrogen peroxide-responsive thin films consisting of boronic acid-containing polymers

    A novel methodology for the preparation of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)-responsive thin-film sensors that display distinct color changes was developed. Boronic acid-containing films were obtained through the copolymerization of boronic acid and tertiary amine monomers, acrylamide, and a crosslinker on a pattern-printed microscope slide. After immersing the thin films in an aqueous H2O2 solution, they were colored with anionic dye solutions containing fructose. The color of the thin films changed depending on the H2O2 concentration in the solutions. When the H2O2 concentration is low, the thin film adsorbs a cationic dye, whereas at higher H2O2 concentrations, it adsorbs an anionic dye. This indicates that the thin film was negatively charged before reacting with H2O2 and that the charge converted to positive following the reaction with H2O2. Changes in the parameters such as monomer composition, pH, and fructose concentration might affect the color change behavior. The H2O2-responsive thin films presented herein are advantageous for the development of H2O2 sensors because of their relatively simple preparation and non-complex organic synthesis. In addition, there is virtually no limitation to choosing dyes, and any kind of color change can be realized. © 2023journal articl

    A Crown as “A Speaking Picture”: Interspersed Images in Pamphilia to Amphilanthus

    Lady Mary Wroth’s sonnet sequence, Pamphilia to Amphilanthus, contains a group of sonnets entitled, “A Crowne of Sonnets Dedicated to Love.” This crown is written in an Italian poetic form in which the last line of each stanza is succeeded by the first line of the following stanza, giving it a very complicated structure. As the title suggests, it represents a crown which is dedicated to Cupid, yet it further evokes the images of a labyrinth or miniature painting due to its complexity and intricacy. It is well known that Wroth was influenced by her uncle, Sir Philip Sidney, and in Crowne, she specifically adapted his poetic ideas to create her poetic style. However, scale variation problem in multiscale object detection still is challenging problem, especially for small objects. Concerning the above problem, we proposed a new detection network with an efficient feature fusion module based on SSD using VGG-16 as backbone called Multi-path Feature Fusion Single Shot Multibox Detector (MF-SSD).
