〈原著〉飼料魚粉の大豆粕代替とアユの成長とタンパク質、エネルギーおよびリン利用率
publisher<Synopsis>To investigate the utility of soybean meal in ayu, four isoenergetic diets were formulated: fish meal 65% (FM, control), fish meal 47% + soybean meal 20% (SM20), fish meal 30% + soybean meal 40% (SM40) and fish meal 13% + soybean meal 58% (SM58). Thirty fish with mean body weight ca. 17.3g were randomly distributed into each of 12 tanks (300 L) in triplicate for each treatment. Fish were fed twice daily at 09:00 and 16:00, 6 days per week for 9 weeks. There were no significant differences in final mean body weight, specific growth rate, daily feeding rate and feed conversion efficiency between FM and SM20; however, SM40 and SM58 showed significantly lower values of those parameters. Retention efficiencies of protein and energy were significantly higher in FM and SM20 than those of SM40 and SM58. Phosphorus retention and discharge were significantly higher and lower, respectively in diet SM20 than others. The results suggested that 20% soybean meal can be included in ayu diet (around 30% fish meal replacement), which will help to achieve both economical and ecological benefits as it will reduce diet cost and phosphorus discharge to the environment. <要約>アユの大豆粕に対する利用能を, 等エネルギーの65%魚粉(FM, 対照), 47%魚粉+20%大豆粕(SM20), 30%魚粉+40%大豆粕(SM40)および13%魚粉+58%大豆粕(SM58)飼料を用いて調べた. 平均体重17.3gのアユ稚魚を30尾ずつ収容した3反復試験区に, 1日2回, 1週間に6日所定の飼料を与えて9週間飼育したところ, 終了時平均体重, 成長率, 日間摂餌率, 飼料効率, タンパク質・エネルギー蓄積率などは, FMおよびSM20に区間差はなく, SM40とSM58ではいずれも有意に低下した. 一方, SM20は他区に比べてリン蓄積率は有意に高く, リン排泄量は有意に低かった. アユ稚魚に20%大豆粕飼料(魚粉代替率 30%)を給与することで, 生産コストや環境負荷の低減につながることが示された

publisher<Synopsis>The mangrove red snapper, Lutjanus argentimaculatus is distributed in the Indo-Pacific Oceans. This fish shows individual variations in morphological characters and resembles the Papuan black bass, L. goldiei. In order to find key characters to distinguish these two species, external and internal morphologies of L. argentimaculatus from Iriomote Island, where they are distributed sympatrically, are examined. The differences between L. argentimaculatus and L. goldiei are as follows: transverse scales above and below lateral line 6+13—15 (vs. L. goldiei; 8+17, ref. Senou and Suzuki 1992): gill rakers 18—20 (vs. 23): head length 41.6—44.7% (vs. 40.5): eye diameter 10.5—12.0 (vs. 9.2): interobital 8.2—10.6 (vs. 6.8): length of caudal peduncle 13.1—17.6 (vs. 18.9): depth of caudal peduncle 11.4—13.2 (vs. 13.6): anal fin length 14.1—18.9 (vs. 21.7): prevomerine tooth shape crescentic band (vs. V-shape): interorpercular knob present (vs. absent). These morphological differences can be regarded as key characters between these two species
<原著>上皮悪性腫瘍の肉腫様変化は骨芽細胞分化の側面を有する--骨分化マーカーを用いた検討と解析
publisher[抄録]上皮悪性腫瘍では腫瘍組織内の一部において間葉系由来の細胞増生を認める現象がしばしば確認され, その現象は肉腫様変化(sarcomatoid change)として認識されている. しかし, その間葉系組織の分類を定義した研究報告はない. 近年, 上皮性の細胞接着分子であるcell adhesion molecule 1(CADM1)が骨肉腫細胞株および肉腫摘出標本, 正常骨芽細胞などの骨性間葉系細胞に強発現していることが明らかとなり, CADM1が骨分化マーカーの側面を持っている可能性が示された. 本研究は上皮悪性腫瘍の肉腫様変化にCADM1も含めた骨分化マーカーの発現の有無を検討し, その間葉系組織において骨形成性の変化を伴う一群の存在を確認することで, 分類が可能であるか検証を行うことである. 我々は肉腫様変化を伴う上皮悪性腫瘍の症例に対し免疫染色を施行し組織内の各種骨形成性マーカー(CADM1, ALP, Osterix, CD151)の発現を確認した. その結果をスコア化し, 各骨分化マーカーと細胞形態変化の結果を統計学的に検証した. その結果, 肉腫様変化における間葉系細胞の骨芽細胞分化においては, CADM1が統計学的に最も優れていた. 一方で組織学的な形態変化による骨芽細胞分化に対する関連性は認められなかった. これらの結果より, 上皮悪性腫瘍の肉腫様変化による間葉系細胞組織の一部は骨芽細胞分化の側面を有しており, その分化マーカーとしてCADM1の有用性が示唆された
<Articles>Visibility Analysis of "Mt. Chikuho Fuji"--Slag Heap of Sumitomo Tadakuma Coal Mine
publisher[概要] 石炭採掘に伴って発生する不要な石や岩の集積場であるボタ山は, 巨大な量塊としての存在感から炭鉱地帯を象徴するランドマークとなっている. 筑豊炭田にあり「筑豊富士」の異名を持つ旧住友忠隈炭鉱のボタ山は, わが国最大級のボタ山であり, 現在でも標高100mを超えるその遺構を随所より遠望することが可能である. 本稿では, この「筑豊富士」の可視域の同定を課題とした. 「筑豊富士」の可視マップを作成した結果, 地元である飯塚市の市街地の大部分が可視域に含まれることを確認した. [Abstract] A slag heap is waste material formed as a by-product of coal mining. Because of overwhelming enormousness, it is a landmark of coal mining region. "Mt. Chikuho Fuji " (slag heap of Sumitomo Tadakuma Coal Mine) located on the Chikuho Coalfield, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu Island, is the biggest slag heap in Japan. Because its height, which still exceeds 100 m, we can see it from everywhere. The purpose of this paper is to identify the visible area of "Mt. Chikuho Fuji ". To this end, I made visibility maps of "Mt. Chikuho Fuji ". The results confirm that most of the city areas of Izuka-shi (hometown of "Mt. Chikuho Fuji ")are included in the visible area of "Mt. Chikuho Fuji "
〈Articles〉The Influence of Foreign Operations on Cash Holdings Behavior : An Empirical Investigation of Japanese Companies
publisher[要旨]近年, 先進諸国における企業の現金保有水準が上昇してきている. その要因の一つとして, 海外事業活動を通じた節税動機が注目されており, いくつかの実証研究が米国を中心に実施されているが, 我が国を対象とした分析は依然として行われてない. そこで本研究は, 海外事業活動が現金保有水準に与える影響について, 静学的な決定要因モデルと動学的な部分調整モデル両方を用いて定量的な検証を行った. その結果, 静学モデルでは海外事業活動は現金保有水準に正の影響を与えていることが示された. しかし, 部分調整モデルでは, 節税動機は調整スピードに影響を与えないことが示された. [Abstract]At last two decades, firms which in developed countries have been boosting their cash holdings. Studies in U.S. firms found that tax avoidance activities through the overseas subsidiaries have an economically positive influence on their cash holdings behavior. Despite the impact of tax avoidance on cash holdings which has received considerable attention, there is no empirical evidence of Japanese companies that investigated the causality between them. In this paper, I attempt to fill the gap by analyzing the static model for the determinants of cash holdings and the dynamic model for partial adjustment behavior on cash holdings for a sample of Japanese listed firms. The results reveal that firms' tax motive has a positive impact on their cash holdings. It is consistent with previous studies in U.S. firms. But I find that no effect of the tax motive on adjustment speed toward the optimal cash holdings levels
Thermodynamic Study of Lower Molybdenum Oxides
publisherTwo types of lower molybdenum oxides, such as orthorhombic and monoclinic Mo_4O_11, were synthesized from the stoichiometric mixtures with the molar ratio of MoO_0.347 / MoO_3 = 0.104 under controlled temperature. Mo_4O_11 crystallizes in two different structures were depending upon the temperature of preparation, blow 890 K the monoclinic was obtained and above this temperature the orthorhombic was formed. The heats of reaction of these materials, MoO_2 and MoO_3 dissolved in strong base solution contained K_3[Fe(CN)_6] were measured directly by using of the conduction calorimeter. By using these direct measured data, the standard enthalpies of formation of orthorhombic and monoclinic Mo_4O_11 were determined indirectly by means of Hess's law of the summation. It was revealed that the A_fH^o of the orthorhombic Mo_4O_11 was lower than that of monoclinic one. The results will be reported in details
