art that deals with the health of the individual, family and society. It is a
profession with a wide application area where activities are carried out to
protect, maintain and improve the health of the individual. Nurses undertake
the task of helping people not only when they have health problems, but
also in every process and in every field from birth to the end of life. This
volume has been created to present the development of a wide range of
nursing care under the influence of current and technological changes

Supervisor: Prof. Azad MammadovPolitics cannot be separated from social life. The impression that the speaker makes during a speech is greatly influenced by the euphemism and dysphemism used in political discourse. The news media and a large number of people are trying to determine the truth of a political actor’s claim. Political actors themselves certainly have ways in which their words can influence their audience without disclosing the underlying reality. This is where the use of euphemisms and dysphemisms in political discourse becomes crucial in creating an accurate or subtle impression of the speaker during the speech.
Euphemisms and dysphemisms are linguistic devices employed to shape public perception, convey specific messages, and influence political discourse. By examining these linguistic strategies in American presidents’ speeches, this study aims to explore the use of euphemistic and dysphemistic expressions and show the types and functions of them in American political discourse, especially by analyzing the political speeches in the last decade

Kazımova Kamilə Qinyaz qızıParkinson xəstələrində təşviş çox rast gəlinən psixoloji problemlərdən biridir. Təşviş səviyyəsinin qiymətləndirilməsi, müəyyən göstəricilərlə əlaqəsinin aydınlaşdırılması və vaxtında diqqətə alınmasının xəstənin həyat keyfiyyətinin yüksəldilməsində, həmçinin müalicə prosesinin gedişatında müsbət nəticələr əldə etməyə kömək edəcəyi düşünülür

Supervisor: Prof.Dr. Bilal AsadovThe objective of this study is to evaluate the prevalence of pathological gambling among patients admitted to an Azerbaijan Narcology Centre who have been diagnosed with opioid and methamphetamine use disorders. The translated and adapted version of the South Oaks Gambling Screen (SOGS) was used for this assessment. In addition, the study investigated impulsivity in individuals with both pathological gambling and substance use disorder, utilizing the translated and adapted version of Barratt Impulsivity Scale, version 21 (BIS-21). The study analyzed the relationship between drug use, impulsivity, and the severity of gambling behavior. The results indicated a higher occurrence of pathological gambling in group of patients with methamphetamine use, in comparison with opioid use and control groups. These findings emphasize the necessity for comprehensive therapies that target both substance use and gambling addictions

Specialization: Clinical Psychology Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Araz AliguliyevThis thesis explores the intricate relationship between somatic symptoms, anxiety, and depression in Azerbaijani patients diagnosed with panic disorder. The study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how these psychological conditions interplay within the unique cultural and socioeconomic context of Azerbaijan. Utilizing the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A), Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) to measure anxiety and depression levels, the research investigates the prevalence, severity, and interconnections of these conditions

Master student: Tamilla MammadovaThis dissertation is a comparative analysis of phobias treated with psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. The dissertation include introduction, 3 chapters, as well as sub-chapters included in each chapter, conclusion, references and appendices.
In the introductory part include: relevance of the research, the subject of the research, the object of the research, the goals and tasks of the research, the hypotheses of the research, the research methods, the practical importance of the research, the novelty of the research and the structure of the research.
The first chapter of the dissertation called " Overview of anxiety disorders. Treatment of anxiety disorders using psychotherapy and psychopharmacology" and consists of four sub-chapters. This chapters provides a comprehensive exploration of anxiety disorders with a focus on phobias. It explores various treatment approaches, including psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, discussing their mechanisms and effectiveness in comparative terms. The sub-chapter "Comparative studies on the effectiveness of psychotherapy vs psychopharmacology for phobias" examines and compares the effectiveness of psychotherapy versus psychopharmacology in the treatment of phobias. It assesses various studies and clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy, benefits, limitations, and patient outcomes associated with each treatment method.
The second chapter of the dissertation is called “Methods and methodologies of research”. In the first half of the second chapter, the organization and conduct of the research are discussed. In the data collection subchapter of the dissertation, the methodology for gathering relevant patient information and assessing anxiety levels is detailed. This subchapter includes the use of two primary tools: the “Demographic Data Questionnaire” developed by the author and the “Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A)”, a method established in 1959 by Max Hamilton, to assess anxiety levels in patients aged 15-60 years”.
The third chapter of the dissertation is called “Results interpretation”. For the data analysis, were selected within the IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software (version 29.0).
To the results obtained from the study patients treated with a combination of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology exhibit fewer symptoms of anxiety disorders compared to those treated with pharmacotherapy alone. Also acording to the results the efficacy of both combined psychotherapy and psychopharmacology treatment, as well as medication-only treatment, varies with age; older adults experience a less pronounced reduction in anxiety symptoms post-treatment. The dissertation is finished with the conclusion and references
Design and Modeling of Smartphone Controlled Vehicle
While many have worked on the transition phases of more popular hybrid aerial vehicle configurations. In this paper, we explore a novel multi-mode hybrid Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Due to its expanded flying range and adaptability, hybrid aerial vehicles—which integrates two or more operating configurations—have become more and more widespread. The stages of transition between these modes are reasonably important whether there are two or more flight forms present. Whereas numerous have worked on the early stages of more widely used hybrid aerial vehicle types, in this paper a brand-new multi-mode hybrid unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) will be investigated. In order to fully exploit the vehicle's propulsion equipment and aerodynamic surfaces in both a horizontal cruising configuration and a vertical hovering configuration, we combine a tailless fixed-wing with a four-wing monocopter. By increasing construction integrity over the whole operational range, this lowers drag and wasteful mass when the aircraft is in motion in both modes. The transformation between the two flight states can be carried out in midair with just its current flying actuators and sensors. Through a ground controller, this vehicle may be operated by an Android device
