No full textThe purpose of this paper is to highlight characteristics of feasible management on small islands through two case studies of shōchū brewers in the Koshiki Islands. These companies run stable businesses despite the difficult socio-economic environments in which they stand. I will focus on correlations between their economic activities and new government development aid. With decreasing local policies and economic function after the recent municipality mergers, the socioeconomic environment is undergoing structural reform because of successive policies by the national and local governments. For small-scale island societies, economic stability is one of the keys for ensuring that further generations continue to live there. In regard to this point, two different methods have been taken on outer-lying islands despite the large difference between the mainland and the islands. The first is the investment of capital in the center of municipalities, which led nationwide regional development. In response to this, the second method known as endogenous development theory was also introduced. Since these policies are so idealistic for islanders looking for modern life styles under the restrictive conditions of island life, they have not contributed to solving the problems in the local economy of the Koshiki Islands.本論文の目的は，小規模な離島のモデル例として甑島を選び，経済活動の対象として２つの焼酎産業を取り上げ，彼らが厳しい立地環境といかに向き合い比較的安定した経営を築いているかの具体的な検討を通して，小規模離島における合理的な企業経営の手がかりを導き出すことにある。鹿児島県の外洋離島である甑島は，明白な中心性を欠く為にモデルとしては，小規模な離島と位置づけられる。その島の旧４村は，平成の大合併で薩摩川内市に統合された。本稿においては，これまでの政策論議とは違った切り口の経済振興アプローチの提出を目的とする。従来の代表的な地域振興論である拠点開発方式と内発的発展論を念頭に置きつつ，２つの企業が特色ある経営を採用せざるを得ない客観的条件が摘出される。合併後には，現地の政策及び経済機能が縮小する一方，国と自治体との相次ぐ政策投入により，生活・経済環境に構造変革が生起しつつある。最も新しい政策は，離島活性化交付金である。経済事業に対する直接的な支援策が登場する背景には，現下の離島社会で進行しつつある担い手層の消失に対する危機意識がある。とりわけ中心性の脆弱な小規模離島においては，若い世代の定着に不可欠な経済基盤の確立が地域存続の焦点となる。この点をめぐる政策論に関しては，全国的な地域開発を牽引してきた国の拠点開発方式とそれに対抗する内発的発展論が本土とは環境が大きく異なる離島にも持ち込まれてきた。とはいえ，離島の諸条件に制約されつつも現代的な生活を追求する住民の目から見れば，双方の政策論はいずれも理念論レベルにとどまり，経済基盤を含めた離島社会の存続条件を生み出すことには成功していない。対象フィールドにおける純粋な企業経営体の民間活動と新たな政策投入との関係を捉え，財の変質を含めた焼酎産業の難しさを踏まえつつ，これら経営分析から小規模離島における合理的な企業経営の手がかりを導き出す

No full textThe Financial Instruments and Exchange Law was amended in terms of the regulations of take offers in 2006. Because
of the financial crisis which broke out in 2008, the reorganizations were carried out for the management rebuilding
by the managers. Given this background, we need to rediscover the market reaction after the announcement of
tender offer. In this study we analyze the abnormal returns and abnormal trading volume for a sample of 226 tender
offers in TSE First Section over the period 2008-2012. The results reveal the differences in the abnormal returns and
abnormal trading volume between bidder firms and target firms. We found statistically positive abnormal returns
in bidder firms, target firms and repurchasing firms after the announcement of take offer. When tender offers are
announced, the abnormal returns of bidder firms and repurchasing firms have already begun to increase. The
abnormal trading volume of repurchasing firms was found statistically negative
