Şölen sofralarından gösterişsiz sofralara yemeğin sinemada temsili
No full textLisansüstü Programlar Enstitüsü, Kültürel Çalışmalar Bilim DalıBu tez, sofra kültürlerinin, sinemadaki temsilleri aracılığıyla şölen sofraları ve gösterişsiz sofraları inceleyerek, aralarında bulunan dilsel, kültürel, ekonomik ve iletişimsel yapı farklılıklarını ortaya koymayı ve sofranın kendine ait bir dili olduğunu ortaya çıkarmayı hedeflemiştir. Çalışmada, farklı gelir seviyelerine ve farklı kültürlere sahip grupların veya insanların oluşturdukları sofra yapısını sinema üzerinden yapısalcı bir analize tabi tutarak onun sahip olduğu dilsel anlamı analiz etmeye çalışacak ve bu sayede sofranın tarihsel süreç içerisinde bir sistematikler bütünü içerisinde oluştuğunu ortaya koymaya çalışacaktır. Soyluların ya da kendilerini soylu olarak göstermek isteyenlerin, aristokratların, burjuvazinin v.b. yemek masalarının karşısına oldukça sade, gösterişsiz, iddiasız yemek masalarını koyarak sadece yemek masaları üzerinden dile benzer bir sistemin kurulabildiğini göstermeye çalışacağım. Bu dil sistemini en berrak şekilde görebileceğimiz karşılaştırmalardan birisi şölen sofraları ve gösterişsiz küçük grup sofralarıdır. Bu iki grup arasındaki zıtlığı Pierre Bourdieu şu şekilde ifade eder; "Her iki uç arasında şu türden bir karşıtlık kurulur: Fakir ve zengin, "ayaküstü tıkınma'' ve "ziyafet çekme" gibi tüketilen yiyecekler gittikçe zenginleşir ve ağırlaşır." Bu sofraları içeren filmler aracılığı ile sınıf farklılıkları, yarattığı dil ve iletişim farklılıkları ortaya konulacaktır. İlk bölümde, çalışmayı yapısal bir çerçevede genişletecek olan kuramlar açıklanacak ve bu kuramlar ile yemek arasındaki bağlantılar ortaya konulacaktır. İkinci bölümde ise yemek sofraları bir iletişim mekanı olarak tartışılacak ve Pierre Bourdieu'nun habitus kavramı üzerinden sınıfsal bir analiz yapılacaktır. Son bölümde ise yemek konulu veya içinde sofra sahnelerinin olduğu film örnekleri ile şölen sofraları, haz ve ölüm tartışılacak ardından gösterişsiz, iddiasız, mikro yemek sofraları iletişimsellik üzerinden tartışılacaktır. Böylece, kendisi de bir dil biçimi olan sinema filmleri aracılığıyla şölen sofraları ve gösterişsiz sofralar arasındaki ekonomik ve kültürel farklılıklar üzerinden sofraların dilsel yapısının ortaya konulabileceğini ve buradan sadece sinemayı kapsayacak şekilde bir analiz oluşturabilineceğini göreceğiz. Keywords: Sinema, Sofra, Yemek, Şölen, İletişimThis thesis aims to reveal the linguistic, cultural, economic and communicative differences between table cultures and to reveal that the table has its own language by examining feast tables and unimposing tables through their representations in cinema. The study will try to analyze the linguistic meaning of the table structure, which is created by groups or people with different income levels and different cultures, by subjecting it to a structuralist analysis through cinema. By this means, the study will try to show that the table is formed within a whole of systematics in the historical process. By placing very plain, unimposing, unpretentious dining tables against the dining tables of the nobles, or those who want to show themselves as nobles, aristocrats and bourgeoisie etc., I will try to show that a language-like system can be established via dinner tables. One of the comparisons by which we can see this language system most clearly is feast tables and unimposing small group tables. Pierre Bourdieu expresses the contrast between these two groups as follows: "The opposition between the two extremes is here established between the poor and the rich (nouveau riche), between la bouffe and la grande bouffe the food consumed is increasingly rich (both in cost and in calories) and increasingly heavy (game, foie gras)." Through the films containing these tables, class distinction and the language and communication differences it creates will be revealed. In the first section, theories that will expand the study in a structural framework will be explained and the connections between these theories and food will be revealed. In the second section, dining tables will be discussed as a communication space and a class analysis based on Pierre Bourdieu's concept of habitus will be made. In the last section, feast tables, pleasure and death will be discussed through the examples of movies on food or movies in which there are table scenes, and then modest, unpretentious, micro dining tables will be discussed through communication. Thus, we will see that the linguistic structure of the tables can be revealed through the economic and cultural differences between feast tables and unimposing tables, through movies, which are also a language form, and that an analysis can be created to cover only cinema. The relationship between other perceptions of people with Kurdish identity and mental health

Literatüre bakıldığında Kürt kimliğinin genellikle ötekileştirmeye maruz kaldığı belirtilmektedir. Hatta bazı dönemlerde Kürt kimliğinin yok sayıldığı ya da başka kültürlere ait alt kimlik olduğu ifade edilmiştir (Eser, 2015: 31). Bu çalışmada Kürt kimliğine sahip kişilerin öteki algısı ile ruh sağlığı arasındaki ilişki incelenmektedir. Araştırmanın hipotezi ise Kürt kimliğine sahip kişilerin ötekileştirilmeye maruz kalması kişilerin ruh sağlığını olumsuz yönde etkileyecektir. Çalışma; Komeleya Lêkolînên Kurdî - Kürt Araştırmaları Derneği'nde eğitim görmekte veya daha önce eğitim görmüş kişiler ve şu anda eğitim vermekte veya daha önce eğitim vermiş olan 18-65 yaş aralığında 51 kişi ile yapılmıştır. Katılımcılara gönüllü katılım ve bilgilendirme formu, demografik bilgiler, algılanan bireysel ayrımcılık ölçeği, olayların etkisi ölçeği, SCL-90-R ölçekleri uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına bakıldığında; algılanan ayrımcılık düzeyine ilişkin sonuçlarda bireysel ayrımcılık algısının orta düzeyin altında olduğu bulunmuştur. Çalışmaya katılan bireylerin olayların etkisi ölçeğinden elde ettikleri puanlara ilişkin bulgular incelendiği zaman, katılımcıların yeniden yaşama, kaçınma, aşırı uyarılma ve toplam olayların etkisi düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların cinsiyetlerine göre olayların etkisi ölçeğinden elde ettikleri puanlar incelendiği zaman, katılımcıların olayların etkisi ölçeğinden elde ettikleri puanların cinsiyetlerine, meslek dallarına göre farklılaştığı bulunmuştur. Bu durumda araştırmaya katılan bireylerin olayların etkisi ölçeğine ilişkin algılarının orta düzeyde olduğu bulunmuştur. Demografik değişkenler arasında yer alan cinsiyet ve meslek dalı değişkenlerinin olayların etkisine ilişkin algı düzeyi üzerinde belirleyici olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kişilerde ruh sağlığı ile ilişkili psikolojik belirti görülme düzeyinin orta seviyede olduğu bulunmuştur. Katılımcılarda psikolojik belirti görülme düzeyinin cinsiyet, meslek dalı, medeni durum ve hane geliri değişkenlerine göre farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada bağımlı değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler incelendiği zaman, algılanan bireysel ayrımcılık düzeyi ile olayların etkisi ölçeği puanları arasında pozitif yönde ve anlamlı ilişki olduğu, bunun yanında Olayların etkisi ölçeği puanları ile SCL-90 ölçeği puanları arasında anlamlı ve pozitif yönde ilişki görüldüğü sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.Since the Kurds do not have a state, they appear as a nation whose identities are marginalized. Looking at the literature, it is stated that the Kurdish identity is generally subject to marginalization. It was even stated that Kurdish identity was ignored in some periods or that it was a sub-identity belonging to other cultures (Eser, 2015: 31). In this study, the relationship between the other perception of people with Kurdish identity and their mental health is examined. The hypothesis of the research is that the marginalization of people with Kurdish identity will negatively affect their mental health. Study; Komeleya Lêkolînên Kurdî - It was conducted with 51 people between the ages of 18-65 who are studying or have been trained at the Kurdish Studies Association and are currently teaching or have given education. Voluntary participation and information form, demographic information, perceived individual discrimination scale, impact of events scale, SCL-90-R scales were applied to the participants.participation and information form, demographic information, perceived individual discrimination scale, impact of events scale, SCL-90-R scales were applied to the participants. Considering the results of the research; In the results regarding the perceived discrimination level, it was found that the perception of individual discrimination was below the medium level. When the findings related to the scores obtained by the individuals participating in the study from the effect of events scale were examined, it was determined that the participants' levels of re-experiencing, avoidance, hyperarousal and total event impact were moderate. When the scores obtained by the participants from the scale of the impact of events were examined according to their gender, it was found that the scores obtained by the participants from the scale of the impact of events differed according to their gender and occupation. In this case, it was found that the perceptions of the individuals participating in the research about the scale of the effect of events were at a moderate level. It has been determined that the gender and profession variables, which are among the demographic variables, are determinative on the level of perception regarding the effect of the events. It was found that the level of psychological symptoms related to mental health in individuals was moderate. It was determined that the level of psychological symptoms in the participants differed according to the variables of gender, occupation, marital status and household income. When the relationships between the dependent variables were examined in the study, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant relationship between the level of perceived individual discrimination and the scores of the impact of events scale, and a significant and positive relationship was observed between the scores of the Impact of Events scale and the scores of the SCL-90 scale

No full textLisansüstü Programlar Enstitüsü, Kültürel İncelemeler Ana Bilim Dalı, Kültürel Çalışmalar Bilim DalıBu tezin amacı, Freud'un bilinçdışı kuramının psikoloji tarihine nasıl ve hangi yollarla katkı sağlamasının yanı sıra, sanat ve edebiyat tarihinin en temel hareketlerinden birinin ortaya çıkışını nasıl etkilediğini incelemektir. Freud'un teorileri rasyonaliteye merkezi gücünü kaybettirerek, tüm insanlara içgüdülerinin ve bilinçaltında yer alan gizli arzularının kontrolünde olduğunu gösterdi. Bilinçdışının bastırılan tarafından şekillendiğini savunarak, ilk bastırmayı anne ile ilksel ayrılıkla gerekçelendirir. Araştırmalarında Freud'un bilinçdışı ve cinsellik gelişimi teorilerini temel alan Lacan, psikanaliz tarihine de dikkate değer teoriler katmıştır. Freud'dan bir adım öteye giderek, bilinçdışının bir dil gibi yapılandığını söyleyerek, dilin insanın kişisel gelişiminde kilit noktası olduğunu iddia eder. Kendi alanının ötesinde, Freud'un bilinçdışının edebiyat tarihi üzerinde büyük bir etkisi vardır. Modernizm, önceki yapılardan koparak devrimci bir hareket olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bilinçdışının ortaya çıkmasıyla birlikte karakterlerin gizli yanlarına önem verilmiş ve insan ruhunun yapısına paralel olarak bilinç akışı, doğrusal olmayan zaman ve epizodik bölüm gibi yeni tür edebi teknikler geliştirmişlerdir. William Faulkner, Döşeğimde Ölürken ve Ses ve Öfke romanlarında bu teknikleri ustalıkla uygulamıştır. Ayrıca deneysel dilini, eserlerinin temelini bilinçdışıdan alan rüya diliyle, yani Sürrealizm ile kaynaştırır. Bu bağlamda, eserleri bu geleneğin sanatçılarıyla paralel bir şekilde, bilinçdışını eserlerinin temeli olarak alan sürrealist bir bakış açısına sahiptir. Bu tez, Faulkner'ın Döşeğimde Ölürken ve Ses ve Öfke romanlarında, karakterlerinin bastırılmış ve gizli kalmış arzularını sürrealist bir üslupla işleyerek, Faulkner'ın dilinin Freudyen ve Lacancı düşünceyi nasıl öne çıkardığına odaklanacaktır.The purpose of this thesis is to examine in which ways the appearance of Freudian theory of the unconscious, contributes to the history of psychology as well as the emergence of one of the most fundamental movements in the history of art and literature. Freud's theories dethroned rationality in certain aspects, with the suggestion that all humans are in control of their instincts and hidden desires residing in the unconscious. Freud advocates that the unconscious is structured by the repressed material and he related the first repression to the primal separation with the mother. Taking Freud's unconscious and sexuality development theories as the basis of his investigations, Lacan also contributes to the history of psychoanalysis with his remarkable theories. Building on Freud, Lacan claims language is the key point for personal development, by calling unconscious structured like a language ("Repression" 2984). Going far beyond its own field, Freud's unconscious has had a high impact on the history of literature. Modernism occurred as a revolutionary movement while breaking away from previous structures. With the emergence of the unconscious, modernists give importance to the hidden part of the characters and develop new kinds of literary techniques parallel to the structure of the human psyche, such as stream of consciousness, non-linearity, and episodic structure. William Faulkner featly applies these techniques in his novels As I Lay Dying and The Sound and the Fury. Moreover, he merges his experimental language with the language of dreams. In this respect, his works own a surrealist glance, parallel to the artists of this tradition, taking the unconscious as the basis of their artworks. Given this context, this thesis focuses on how Faulkner's language highlights Freudian and Lacanian thought in his novels, As I Lay Dying and The Sound and The Fury, by rendering his characters' repressed and hidden desires in a surrealist way
Early-life exposures and childhood obesity and overweight in Türkiye
No full textObjective: Childhood overweight and obesity have seen a dramatic increase in Turkey and other middle-income countries over the last decades. By using anthropometric data, this study examines the influence of early-life exposures during pregnancy and infancy on young children’s risk of developing overweight and obesity. Methods: Study uses five cross-sections of Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) conducted in Turkey between 1993 and 2013. A total of 9719 children between the ages of 2 and 5 are used to estimate the prevalence rates of obesity and overweight. In addition, a logistic regression model is applied to 5013 children in order to assess the main determinants of obesity and overweight. Results: There is a notable increase in the prevalence rates of obesity and overweight in children between 1993 and 2013, the peak prevalence has been reached in 2008. Results of the logistic regression reveal that early-life factors; maternal obesity and high birth weight are significantly associated with the risk of obesity and overweight in young children. Among socio-economic variables, living both in the richest and poorer households are positively and significantly associated with the risk of obesity and overweight. Conclusion: Public health efforts to prevent childhood obesity and overweight would be incomplete without considerations of maternal health and nutrition during pregnancy
Treatment of intranasal transmissible venereal tumor (TVT) with combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy: a case report
No full textTransmissible venereal tumor (TVT) in dogs is a malignant tumor transmitted as a result of transplantation of tumor cells. In males and females, it is most commonly seen in the external genitalia as cauliflower-like growths. However, extragenital localization has also been reported. In cases of extragenital TVT, if there is no lesion in the genital organs, differential diagnosis should be made with histiocytoma, lymphoma, poorly differentiated mast cell tumors and amelanotic melanomas. Although surgical excision is not preferred in the treatment, chemotherapy protocols are used, while treatment with radiotherapy is also effective. The case consists of a male Siberian Husky dog, aged seven years and seven months who had symptoms of unilateral nasal hemorrhage and was referred to our clinic with the suspicion of nasal carcinoma as a result of diagnostic investigations that lasted for 5 months in another country. In the clinical examination of the patient, unilateral hemopurulent nasal discharge, reverse senezing and exercise intolerance were observed. Due to the inconsistency in the clinical course of the patient who was referred with the suspicion of possible carcinoma, clinicopathological consultation was made to Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Pathology. In order to determine the differential diagnosis, prognosis and appropriate treatment approach, immunohistochemical marking was performed with vimentin, pancytokeratin, CD3, CD79a, chromaogranin, NSE and lysozyme antibodies using the Streptavidin-Biotin method. The patient was diagnosed with TVT histopathologically and immunohistochemically, and after premedication, a weekly session of Vincristine sulfate at a dose of 0.6mg/m2, a total of recommended 6-8 weeks of chemotherapy session was targeted. However, as a result of severe neutropenia attacks after vincristine sulfate administration, radiotherapy was added to the treatment protocol. In total, 1500 cGy radiation therapy was applied in 5 fractions. During this period, the clinical symptoms of the patient decreased and an increase in body weight was observed. We think that the case with a rare diagnosis of intranasal TVT and the combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment without any relapse after treatment contributed to veterinary oncology

No full textLisansüstü Programlar Enstitüsü, Hukuk Ana Bilim DalıBlokzinciri teknolojisinin hayatımıza girmesini izleyen yıllarda, bu teknolojinin farklı sektör ve alanlarda kullanılmasını sağlayacak pek çok yeni araç ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu araçlardan biri olan non-fungible token (NFT) yani misli olmayan jeton 2021'de kültür sanat alanında kamuoyunun dikkatini çeken bir yükselmeye konu olmuştur. NFT'lerin özellikle dijital sanat eserleri bakımından yoğun işlem hacmine sahip kullanımı neticesinde, NFT'lerin sanat ile bağlantılı olduğu izlenimi kaçınılmaz olmuştur. Ancak bu bağlantının hukuki boyutlarının ne anlama geldiği, sanatçılara ve NFT işlemlerinin taraflarına nasıl haklar sağladığı ya da sağlamadığı hususları oldukça tartışmalıdır ve halihazırda yasal düzenlemelere konu edilmemiştir. Bu çalışma, NFT'lerin sanatla olduğu düşünülen bağlantısını hukuki bir bağlamda ve özellikle 5846 sayılı Fikir ve Sanat Eserleri Kanunu yönünden incelemektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında blokzinciri, akıllı sözleşme ve NFT teknolojileri açıklanmakta; NFT'lerin eser olarak değerlendirilmesine ve NFT'lerce işaret edilen sanat eserlerinin bu teknoloji bağlamındaki durumuna dair farklı görüşler sunulmaktadır. Ayrıca, bu çalışma NFT'lerce işaret edilen eserlerin sahiplerinin telif haklarının, NFT oluşturma ve NFT satışı işlemlerinde nasıl etkilendiğini araştırmakta; kamuoyuna yansıyan bazı uyuşmazlık örneklerini ve NFT'lerin kültür sanat alanında sanatçıların haklarını koruyacak şekilde kullanılması için bazı önerilere yer vermektedir.In the years following the introduction of blockchain into our lives, many new tools have emerged to use this technology practically in different sectors and areas. An example of these tools, namely non-fungible tokens (NFT) had a significant and eye-catching rise in 2021 in the culture and art area. Since NFTs have an enormous trading volume, especially concerning digital art pieces, it is inevitable to make a connection between NFTs and art. However, this connection is yet to be regulated; and the meaning of this connection and how it affects the artists and the parties of any NFT transaction are found to be highly controversial. This study examines the alleged connection between NFTs and art from a legal perspective, especially regarding the Law of Intellectual and Artistic Works numbered 5847. Within this study, the technological aspect of blockchain, smart contracts, and NFTs is explained; different views are presented on the assessment of NFTs as artwork and the standing point of the artworks that are pointed by an NFT. Also, this study investigates the effects of NFT minting and transaction on the copyrights of the artists when their art is pointed by an NFT. Finally, this study includes a few well-known conflicts around the globe and some suggestions regarding the practical use of NFTs in culture and art for the proper protection of artists' rights

Sendikalaşma özgürlüğü, örgütlenme özgürlüğünün özel bir yansımasıdır. Sendikalaşma özgürlüğüne ve onun vazgeçilmez unsurları olan toplu iş sözleşmesi hakkı ile grev hakkına gerek ulusal gerekse uluslararası düzenlemelerde yer verilmiştir. Uluslararası sözleşmelere, Uluslararası Çalışma Örgütü (ILO) denetim organları kararlarına ve Avrupa İnsan Hakları Mahkemesi (AİHM) içtihatlarına göre, sendikalaşma özgürlüğünün Anayasa ve yasalarda açıkça düzenlenerek teminat altına alınması gerekir. İşçilerin örgütlenme özgürlüğünün korunması, insan hakları ve kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk taahhütlerinin çok önemli bir yönüdür. İşçiler ve işverenler, uluslararası hukukta ve şirket taahhütlerinde belirtildiği gibi, kendilerini temsil eden örgütler kurma ve bunlara katılma hakkına sahiptir. Ancak, işçilerin örgütlenme özgürlüğü, işveren müdahalesi veya yetersiz yasal korumalar sonucunda engellenebilir.Organizations are the institutions which come together in order to protect the rights and the interests of people. Freedom of association expresses the individuals' right to join an official or unofficial group and act together for a common goal. Freedom to form unions is a special reflection of freedom of association. Freedom to form unions and its indispensable parts, the right of collective bargaining agreement and the right to strike, are mentioned both in international and national regulations. It is required to secure the freedom to form unions in the constitutions and the laws by transparently regulating them in accordance with the international contracts, the decisions of International Labour Organization (ILO) auditing organs, and the case laws of European Court of Human Rights. Protecting workers' freedom of association is a crucial aspect of human rights and corporate social responsibility commitments. Employers and workers have equal rights in forming and joining organizations to represent themselves as it is specified at the company pledge. However, the workers' freedom of association can be blocked by the interference of the employers due to the insufficient legal protection
