It is well established that the incidence of diabetes mellitus (DM) increases with age. It has been shown to be difficult and unlikely for the elderly to change their dietary habits, therefore knowledge of the basic dietary habits of the elderly population has significant meaning for public health nutrition. The first objective of this study was to understand the dietary habits of residents of Shigenobu-cho (present-day Toon City) aged 60 years and above. The second objective of this study was to assess the dietary habits of the elderly population with DM in comparison to the elderly population without DM.Methods :
Considering the public debate regarding the relationship between eating habits and DM, and the limitations of previous studies, we conducted multi-purpose cohort studies to evaluate DM prevalence and dietary habits of elderly residents in Shigenobu-cho.Results :
Men did not show a tendency towards a particular diet type, regardless of whether or not they had DM. In contrast, women with DM had a tendency to report traditional Japanese food dietary patterns.Discussion :
Elderly persons have often followed the same diet for decades, and previous findings indicate that change in dietary habits is limited among the elderly. Therefore, it is incumbent upon public health nurses and nutritionists to understand the eating patterns among this population, and educate elderly patients diagnosed with DM about healthier, alternative dietary habits

No full text幼稚園教諭の養成と保育士養成課程にはともに「保育内容総論」という教科目が必修として開設されている。保育者養成課程にはいくつかのカテゴリーがあり、それぞれ独自の役割と内容がある。その諸科目のなかにおいて「保育内容総論」はどのような役割を担うべく設定されているのかを考える。理論的な学習と保育実践とをつなぐ教科としての保育内容総論について考察する。また、平成30年の幼稚園教育要領や保育所保育指針の改訂にともない、保育者の子どもの遊びや発達に対する計画性･意図性を取りあげる。A kindergarten teacher course and a childcare person training course have a common subject. That’s named "contents of early childhood education and care" which is established as a compulsory subject. A childcare person training course has some categories, and there are individual role and contents. We investigate a role and the positioning of "childcare contents general remarks". In other words we consider the childcare contents general remarks which are a subject to associate theoretical learning contents and childcare practice. In addition, we consider a plan and the intention of the childcare for the way of playing and the development of the children
