Fragments of the self: a dialogue with Hicham Benohoud on body, identity, power and resistance through photography

    No full text
This is an original manuscript of an article published by Taylor & Francis in World Art on 10 Sep 2025 , available at: https://doi.org/10.1080/21500894.2025.2561715This study presents a dialogue with Moroccan artist Hicham Benohoud, exploring his career, his creative process, and the central role of photography in his work. His artistic practice is defined by visual experimentation and a critical engagement with the body as a site of exploration and resistance. In his compositions, the body is depicted as fragmented, constrained or subjected to tension, thus exposing the underlying power structures that shape everyday experience. This bodily dimension is closely linked to a form of introspection that Benohoud brings to life through his own body or that of his models, who act as alter egos. Overall, the process is an integral part of the artist's visual discourse, as identity and memory emerge as fundamental components

Modeling of a micropolar thin film flow with rapidly varying thickness and non-standard boundary conditions

    No full text
In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of the micropolar fluid flow through a thin domain, assuming zero Dirichlet boundary condition on the top boundary, which is rapidly oscillating, and non-standard boundary conditions on the flat bottom. Assuming “Reynolds roughness regime”, in which the thickness of the domain is very small compared to the wavelength of the roughness (i.e. a very slight roughness), we rigorously derive a generalized Reynolds equation for pressure, clearly showing the roughness-induced effects. Moreover, we give expressions for the average velocity and microrotation

Digital competence of special education teachers for the care of students with special needs

    No full text
This study aims to identify special education teachers' level of training and digital knowledge. An ex post facto descriptive research method was used, where the sample consisted of 472 teachers specialised in therapeutic pedagogy. An ad hoc questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument. The results reveal a low level of digital competence of special education teachers regarding the use of technology to support students with special needs, where the level of training was determined by educational or professional factors, but not by personal factors. The conclusions of this study point to the need to improve the digital training experiences of special education teachers to favour the practices and quality of education of students with special need

The impact of anticipated feelings and artist fame on customers’ decisions to attend live flamenco shows

    No full text
Most current research on consumer behaviour focuses on customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty. However, few studies evaluate the factors influencing customers’ decisions to attend live performances, particularly in the context of flamenco. This study aims to fill this gap by examining how anticipated feelings and artist fame impact customers’ decisions to attend live flamenco shows. Using a sample of 584 flamenco consumers and applying Structural Equation Modelling, this research finds that anticipated feelings play a crucial role in driving atten- dance, while the influence of artist fame is more nuanced. The results reveal that while the artist fame does not directly increase attendance, the emotional connection fostered during performances significantly impacts cus- tomers’ intentions to attend future shows. These findings underscore the importance of prioritising the emotional experience in marketing strategies for live flamenco shows. Additionally, the study highlights the potential for flamenco festivals to enhance the cultural identity and appeal of tourist destinations, contributing to increased tourism and economic benefits. This research provides valuable insights for music industry managers and marketers, suggesting that fostering emotional engagement and authenticity can drive attendance and loyalty in the traditional music sector.Premio Mensual Publicación Científica Destacada de la US. La disciplina de la resolución de los contratos por incumplimiento tras la reforma del Texto refundido de la Ley concursal

    No full text
This work analyses the regime of the termination of executory contracts for non-performance when one of the parties is in insolvency proceedings. To this end, the discipline established in this respect by the Consolidated Text of Insolvency Act, partially amended by the Law 16/2022 transposing European Directive 2019/1023, on restructuring and insolvency, is subjected to a detailed study. This discipline presents two particularly striking characteristics: a division in the regulatory solution provided according to whether the non-performance was prior to or subsequent to the declaration of insolvency, and the need to bring a lawsuit for termination before the judge, who may, at the request of the defendant, order the maintenance of the contract in the interests of the insolvency proceedings
