This master thesis explores the divergent consumer preferences within e-commerce sales funnels in China and Germany, two of the world's leading e-commerce markets. This comparative study explores the complexities of website design preferences, the influence of cultural elements on consumer decision-making, and the drivers of consumer loyalty and repeat purchases, with China's rapid adoption of digital technology and innovative marketing strategies set against Germany's mature market and consumer trust.
A mixed-methods approach is used in the research, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis. Insights into consumer behaviors and preferences influenced by cultural, economic, and technical aspects are provided by a thorough analysis of scholarly literature, case studies, and consumer surveys from both nations. The report highlights the distinctive features of each market by examining important elements such as digital innovation, sustainability, social integration, data protection, and mobile commerce in e-commerce practices.
Remarkably, the thesis seeks to provide practical insights to German e-commerce practitioners. The dynamic and constantly changing global competitive environment requires the development of advanced technologies and new operating procedures for a company´s internal processes. Human Resource Management bears the responsibility of assisting the organization in overcoming these challenges and effectively reshaping its procedures. This bachelor's thesis investigates the detailed process of implementing a Global Job Catalogue (GJC) at a company. The purpose and goal of this study is to evaluate whether the implementation of a GJC offers advantages, using an automotive company as an example. It analyses the practical application of a GJC and its integration into the Human Resources Department. Furthermore, a focus on the challenges and benefits of the implementation and integration process will be provided, including the use of innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Skills Management. To achieve the stated goal, semi-structured interviews with HR personnel from the automotive company have been carried out. The results of the study identify the benefits of a comprehensive GJC for each stakeholder, such as increased transparency, efficiency, and consistency across the organization. However, it also highlights the challenges associated with the implementation process, including the strict timeframe and the simultaneous pursuance of multiple relevant project components. Based on these findings, recommendations for the use case are derived, and a thorough conclusion is provided

Blockchain-Based Privacy-Preserving Shop Floor Auditing Architecture
In the rapidly evolving realm of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), securing shop floor operations, especially in audit processes, is of critical importance. This paper confronts the challenge of ensuring data integrity and trust in IIoT systems by leveraging the capabilities of blockchain technology. The unique characteristics of blockchain, such as its immutable and decentralized ledger, establish a solid and transparent foundation for verifying shop floor transactions and activities. We introduce a privacy-centric approach, meticulously designed to comply with stringent data privacy regulations. This method allows auditors to authenticate both IIoT data and devices, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards. Our practical implementation strategy, tailored for shop floor environments, not only enhances the security of device and data integrity but also showcases robustness against specific adversarial threats, including network intrusion, data tampering, and unauthorized access. The findings indicate that our approach not only strengthens security protocols but also integrates effortlessly with existing IIoT infrastructures. It presents an efficient, scalable solution that elevates the safety and reliability of IIoT ecosystems, making it a significant step forward in the quest for secure and compliant industrial operations

Exploration der Möglichkeiten und Grenzen von Chatbots in der Pflegeberatung von Angehörigen von Menschen mit Demenz
Der Artikel befasst sich mit der Konzeption eines Chatbots und dessen Potential für die Unterstützung der persönlichen Pflegeberatung und damit zur Verbesserung der Beratungsangebote für pflegende Angehörige von Menschen mit Demenz. Die durchgeführte Studie beschäftigt sich mit der Identifizierung von Chancen, Herausforderungen und Einsatzmöglichkeiten eines Chatbots im Kontext der Pflegeberatung. Es wird ein partizipativer Forschungsprozess verfolgt, in dem Pflegeberater*innen zu Co-Designer*innen befähigt werden. Die Ergebnisse lassen sich in drei Teilen veranschaulichen. Der erste Teil beschreibt die Besonderheiten einer Pflegeberatung von Angehörigen von Menschen mit Demenz. Der zweite Teil erforscht die Grenzen und Möglichkeiten der Anwendung eines regelbasierten Chatbots. Der dritte und letzte Abschnitt beleuchtet Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Large Language Models sowie den Ansatz eines hybriden Chatbots
