    No full text
In times of increasing digitalization and global connectivity, more flexible work models and, consequently, “Remote Leadership” are becoming more important. This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of Remote Leadership and analyses different leadership roles in the virtual working environment using the W&W Group as an example. The thesis focuses on the theoretical foundations of remote work and leadership, with a particular priority on the leadership roles developed by Prof. Dr. Armin Trost. The aim is to identify specific challenges and success factors of remote leadership. The empirical study, based on a survey of managers in the W&W Group, shows that certain leadership roles are more effective in the remote working environment than others. The results offer insights into how managers can adapt their role in an increasingly virtual working environment

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to investigating the role of inner dialogues in professional self-realization. The empirical study was conducted using by means of an online questionnaire with 122 participants using a mixed-methods approach. The aim of the study was to analyze the mechanisms underlying positive and negative selftalk and their influence on goal achievement attainment and subjective well-being in professional life. The results show that significant self-doubt is often associated with negative inner dialogues, while a higher sense of happiness is associated with more positive inner dialogues. There is also a correlation between the perception of positive inner dialogues and the feeling of control over them. The results that Generation Z has more negative inner dialogues in relation to professional self-realization compared to other generations were not statistically significant. Gender-specific differences were also not statistically proven, with the exception of women's greater willingness to take professional risks. The results suggest that negative inner dialogues represent a significant barrier to the realization of professional goals and can contribute to dissatisfaction in professional life. Furthermore, these inner dialogues have been shown to result in significant substantial uncertainty regarding one's own decision- making processes, both in a private and professional context

Ensuring optimal care post-hospitalization is a significant challenge for healthcare systems. Discharge management (DM) is crucial for continuing care, yet process-related issues persist. Artificial Intelligence (AI)-supported systems may address DM-related issues, but research on the needs of hospital staff is limited. This paper presents results from the first phase of a multicenter project aimed at developing an AI-supported system to predict aftercare needs and improve DM processes in German hospitals. We conducted an exploratory needs analysis using participatory methods (workshops, questionnaires and interviews) and defined suitable use cases. We observed a high level of interest in the proposed AI-supported system. However, participants expressed doubts about the effective implementation due to the current state of their hospital’s digital infrastructure. The resulting use cases focused on the reception, processing and interpretation of "plausible" data. These outcomes form the basis for the further research and development with hospital staff and external developers
