Unending Greed: The Real Drive of Human Warfare
There must be rivalry if there is life. Humans prioritize animal slaughter, followed by inter- and intra-racial violence, and finally by war over country borders. Finally, war is a result of a concerted effort by a large number of people. Competition for scarce resources is unavoidable as long as human greed prevails. Globally, the rate of change has accelerated and will continue to do so, which will result in tensions that will worsen, and a worldwide war will erupt if without reasonable release of the tension

It uses seemingly unrelated regression (SUR) analysis to study the impact of parental involvement on native and migrant adolescents’ cognitive ability, psychology and behavior
Can Increasing Teaching Rewards Improve Teaching Quality? An Empirical Study of 63 Universities Across the Country
Although teaching and scientific research are both important tasks for college and university teachers, the phenomenon of emphasizing scientific research over teaching prevails. In the evaluation system, universities tend to give more weight to scientific research. As a result, teachers’ scientific research achievements are linked with their appointment, assessment, promotion, and salaries; Insufficient attention to teaching leads to low teaching quality. This study explores the effect of teaching incentives on teaching quality improvement by comparing the teaching incentives in different universities. Ordinary least squares is used to estimate the effect of teaching incentives on academic evaluation of teaching performance
The Coordinated Development of Secondary Vocational School Specialty Clusters and Industry Clusters: Citing Longgang No.2 Vocational and Technical School of Shenzhen as a Case Study
With the implementation of the state’s Plan of Constructing High-Level Vocational Schools and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics, the construction of specialty clusters has become a hot topic. They are critical tools for improving the educational quality of vocational schools by promoting vocational education transformation, upgrading, and innovation. To maximize the effectiveness of specialty cluster development in secondary vocational school curriculum reform, we must first identify the rationale for multi-agency involvement in the development of specialty clusters and then formulate action plans. This article examines the definitions and connotations of specialty clusters and discusses the contexts in which specialty clusters emerged. It examines strategies for developing specialty clusters using Shenzhen’s Longgang No. 2 Vocational and Technical School as an example

Investigation of 7th and 8th Grade Middle School Students’ Environmental Ethics Attitude Levels in Relation to Different Variables
One way to increase people’s positive behaviors toward nature is to ensure that students gain environmental ethics attitude concerning environmental issues. In this regard, the current study investigates the 7th and 8th-grade students’ environmental ethics attitude levels in relation to some variables (grade level, gender, school type). The study employed the survey model, one of the quantitative methods. The current research’s sampling was selected using the stratified sampling method. A total of 723 students (349 seventh graders and 374 eighth graders) attending middle school participated in the current study. The “Environmental Ethics Attitude Scale” was used as a data collection tool in this research. The findings of the current study have revealed that the 7th and 8th-grade students’ environmental ethics attitude levels vary significantly depending on gender in favor of the female students (U(142857) = 560.34; p < 0.001). Moreover, no statistically significant difference was found between the environmental ethics attitude levels of the 7th graders and 8th graders (U(124827) = 63752.00; p > 0.05). In addition, no statistically significant difference was found between the environmental ethics attitude level of the students attending schools located in peripheral districts of the city and that of the students attending schools located in the central districts of the city (U(191838)) = 48993; p > 0.05). The seventh-grade and eighth-grade students’ eccentric environmental ethics attitude mean score and anthropocentric environmental ethics attitude mean score were very close to each other. This shows that the students have environmental ethics attitude yet cannot give up anthropocentric behaviors. Similar studies can be conducted with students from different grade levels
The Relationship between Text Formality and Writing Quality: An Evaluation Based on Coh-Metrix
This study seeks to investigate the relationship between text formality and writing quality by quantifying text formality in EFL English writing. In order to conduct the research, 548 English argumentation compositions were evaluated in terms of the five Coh-Metrix text formality dimensions: narrativity, syntactic simplicity, word concreteness, referential coherence, and deep cohesion. Based on the study, there is only a weak relationship between text formality and writing quality, and some facets of text formality, such as narrativity, word concreteness, syntactic simplicity, and deep cohesion, have varying degrees of influence on writing quality and, consequently, on English writing scores. As per statistics, narrativity has a detrimental effect on writing quality; word concreteness has a significant positive correlation with writing quality; syntactic simplicity shows a relatively small negative correlation with writing quality; deep cohesion has a modestly negative correlation with writing quality; and referential coherence has no correlation with writing quality. It is intended that the findings of this study will have some bearing on how English argumentative writing is taught and learned
Exploring Employment Intentions of College Students in Small and Medium-sized Cities against the Backdrop of High-Quality Economic Development: Taking Huai’an City as an Example
Against the backdrop of high-quality development of the national economy, the development of each city is also facing transformation and upgrading. Cities need high-quality development, and high-quality talents are the key. The problem of attracting high-quality talents in domestic small and medium-sized cities in high-quality development needs to be solved urgently. This paper takes Huai’an, a third-tier city in China, as an example, to understand the intentions and confusions of college students when they seek employment. The qualitative approach of semi-structured interviews is employed. The study finds that in small and medium-sized cities, factors hindering college students from staying in local cities for employment include that the intensity of the government in publicizing high-quality development has not reached to most college students, the guide courses in colleges and universities meet difficulties in the process of delivery, and college students' own career planning are not guided well. In response to the above problems, this paper puts forward suggestions such as strengthening the positive interaction between schools and college students, enhancing the publicity of high-quality urban development among college students, and closely integrating college students’ career guidance courses with local development. Quality development attracts more high-quality talents
