The Necessity of Transitioning from Traditional Class Management to Student Autonomous management in Chinese Basic Education

    Get PDF
Class management is a basic component of school governance in basic education. Traditional class management in China has overemphasized teacher control, discipline, and order, restricting students’ all-round development. In the context of intensified educational reforms, there is a need for transitioning to student autonomous management, a more student-centered class management style. This article gives a brief overview of the evolution of class management in modern China, expounds on the necessity of introducing student autonomous management as well as its chief features, and proposes pathways for its implementation, with the view to providing insights for ongoing educational reform in China

Quantum Physics: From Imaginary to Reality

    Get PDF
Quantum physics has long occupied a space between imagination and reality, captivating scientists and philosophers with its strange, counterintuitive principles: superposition, entanglement, uncertainty, and nonlocality. What once appeared as hypothetical mathematics now manifests in real technologies—lasers, semiconductors, superconductors, atomic clocks, MRI machines, and emerging quantum computers. This mini-review traces the conceptual journey of quantum physics from an abstract theory born in early twentieth-century thought experiments to a practical framework shaping modern engineering, computation, communication, and materials science. It highlights key developments in interpretation, experimental validation, and application, while reflecting on how quantum physics reshapes our understanding of nature, reality, and information. Although quantum mechanics remains philosophically perplexing, it has become a powerful and indispensable foundation for technological innovation. By examining how imaginary constructs transitioned into concrete implementations, this article illustrates the remarkable interplay between theory and experiment that continues to redefine what is possible

The Effect of Project-Based Recycling Education on Students’ Recycling Knowledge Levels

    Get PDF
Background: Environmental education is important for developing sustainable behaviors and increasing recycling awareness among younger generations. However, traditional teaching methods may not be sufficient to improve students’ knowledge level and awareness regarding household waste and recycling. Objective: This study aimed to examine the knowledge level and awareness of 7th-grade middle school students about household waste and recycling through project-based education. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was used with two groups: an experimental group (n = 28) receiving project-based recycling education and a control group (n = 28) following the standard curriculum. An open-ended knowledge scale consisting of 13 questions was administered to both groups before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using frequency tables and statistical tests to compare pre- and post-test results. Results: The findings indicated that the knowledge level of the group receiving project-based recycling education increased, while there was no significant difference in the control group. Conclusions: Project-based recycling education is more effective than traditional methods in increasing students’ knowledge about household waste and recycling. Based on these findings, it is recommended to incorporate projects and hands-on activities into the curriculum content

Effects of Home Education Guidance Services and Improvement Measures: An Analysis Based on Survey Data of 1,850 Families in Hubei Province

    Get PDF
Home education guidance services play an important role in enhancing the quality of home education and supporting child healthy and holistic development. Based on survey data of 1,850 families from eight cities and 18 counties in Hubei Province, this study examined the effects of home education guidance services on parental education literacy, parental education involvement, and child development. Ordinary least squares regression (OLS) and propensity score matching (PSM) were used in the analysis. The purpose of this article was to provide implications for improving the effectiveness of home education guidance

Effects of Sleep Quality on Academic Performance of Children Aged 10 to 12: The Mediating Role of Updating Ability

    Get PDF
Research has shown that sleep quality can positively predict academic performance of the student. Previous studies have focused on examining the correlation in secondary and tertiary education students, with little attention paid to that among primary school students. A recent cross-sectional study demonstrated that primary school students had higher risk of low sleep quality than other groups. Through a mediation model, this study investigated the relation between sleep quality and academic achievement in primary school students and the mediating effect of updating ability on this relationship

Microplastic Pollution: The Real Potential Threats to Human Being

    Get PDF
The emergence of microplastic pollution has become a significant environmental concern that has far-reaching consequences for ecosystems and human health on a global scale. Microplastics, which are defined as plastic particulates smaller than five millimeters, are pervasive in our surroundings and originate from a variety of sources, including industrial processes, plastic products, and the degradation of larger plastics. This article examines the tangible risks that microplastic pollution presents to human beings, encompassing its origins, distribution, health consequences, and contamination of soil, water, food, and air. Through an analysis of ongoing regulatory initiatives, mitigation tactics, and the necessity for additional investigation, our objective is to elucidate the intricacies of this matter and underscore the critical nature of confronting microplastic pollution in order to safeguard the environment and human health

Saving the Generations to Come from the Short Videos

    Get PDF
An abundance of problems can result from excessive screen time, especially when short videos on social media platforms are viewed. These problems include diminished social skills, anxiousness, and tension, as well as a shorter attention span. To protect our youth from the potential negative consequences of excessive short video viewing, we can encourage outdoor activities, face-to-face interaction, the development of critical thinking skills in interpreting media messages, the establishment of parental controls, and the imposition of time limits on screen usage. For the betterment of future generations, it is critical that educators, parents, legislators, and technology corporations collaborate to educate and empower individuals to make informed decisions regarding their media consumption habits

On the Molecular and Immunological Mechanisms of the Transition from Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis to Grave’s Disease

    Get PDF
Autoimmune thyroid disorders, including Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Grave’s disease, represent complex conditions characterized by dysregulation of the immune system targeting the thyroid gland. Understanding the molecular and immunological mechanisms underlying the transition from Hashimoto’s thyroiditis to Grave’s disease is essential for unraveling the pathophysiology of these interconnected autoimmune conditions. We propose insights into the intricate interplay of genetic factors, immune responses, and hormonal pathways that drive the progression from hypothyroidism to hyperthyroidism, shedding light on new perspectives for diagnosis, management, and future research directions in autoimmune thyroid disorders

Why Principal Positive Leadership Is Important: It’s Mediating Effect on the Relation between the School Context and Student Academic Achievement

    Get PDF
“Deficit remediation” as an educational governance paradigm has given rise to many problems, whereas principal positive leadership under the “strengths development” paradigm has the potential to give new impetus to school development. Based on large-scale survey data within a provincial region, this study investigates how the school context and principal positive leadership impact student academic achievement using structural equation models. Research findings show that principal positive leadership as a structural latent variable has positive impacts on student academic performance and significantly mediates the effects of the school context on student academic results; and that the patterns of the impacts of principal positive leadership differ according to the variations of the school’s autonomy in operation
