Is Quantum Entanglement the Basis of Multiverse?

    Get PDF
Quantum entanglement remains one of the most perplexing and foundational phenomena in quantum mechanics, demonstrating instantaneous correlations between particles regardless of distance. This article hypothesizes that quantum entanglement may serve not merely as an artifact of quantum systems but as a fundamental structural component of a broader multiversal framework. By synthesizing principles from quantum mechanics, theoretical physics, and cosmology, the argument is developed that entanglement might indicate the coexistence and interaction of parallel realities. Such a perspective challenges the conventional interpretation of entanglement as a closed-system phenomenon and posits it instead as an interdimensional tether across multiple universes. Though currently speculative and beyond empirical verification, this hypothesis opens a philosophical and theoretical avenue for reevaluating the implications of entanglement and the nature of reality itself. By reframing entanglement as a bridge rather than a boundary, the article explores whether the quantum world subtly encodes the existence of the multiverse within its very correlations

Is Mathematics Vocabulary Important? The Mediating Effect of Mathematics Vocabulary on the Relationship between Cognitive Abilities and Mathematics Performance

    Get PDF
Mathematics vocabulary is an important indicator of mathematical language competence of the student. A desirable mastery of mathematics vocabulary is crucial to mathematical study, based on which, the student builds their understanding of math concepts and develops mathematical thinking. This article is an examination of the effect of mathematics vocabulary on the relationship between general cognitive abilities and mathematics performance, with a sample of 249 third graders from two primary schools in Shanghai

The Effects of Work Hours and Composition on Novice Teachers’ Career Adaptation: An Empirical Study from the Perspective of Work Burdens

    Get PDF
Career adaptation is a vital component of professional development for novice teachers and is critical to their quality of teaching. Based on a questionnaire survey of 2590 Chinese teachers at the basic education level, this study investigates the effects of work hours and composition on career adaptation in novice teachers, using latent profile analysis and the multiple linear regression model

Comparative Study on HPSS Content in Current and Previous Chinese High School

    Get PDF
Chinese 2017 General High School Physics Curriculum Standards explicitly include understanding the nature of science (NOS) as core literacy for students. History, philosophy of science, and sociology of science (HPSS) education is an important way to promote students’ understanding of the nature of science. In this context, this study analyzed the content of HPSS in two physics textbooks before and after the promulgation of the new curriculum standards using a content analysis method based on the analytical framework of HPSS. The analysis compares the number and copiousness of HPSS content in the current high school physics textbooks published in 2019 and the previous edition of high school physics textbooks published in 2004. The presentation of this HPSS content was also analyzed. It was found that there was an increase in HPSS content in the new edition of the textbook compared to the old edition, mainly a decrease in the history of science content and an increase in both the philosophy of science and sociology of science content. The HPSS content copiousness was low in both the old and new editions of the textbook. Finally, the distribution of the respective sub-dimensions of the HPSS was very uneven

The Effects of Reflective Learning on the Quality of English Writing in Chinese University Students: An Analysis Based on Coh-Metrix and Reflective Journals

    Get PDF
This study aims to examine the effects of reflective learning on the quality of English writing in Chinese university students using the Coh-Metrix tool and the students’ reflective journals. According to its research findings, reflective learning had significantly positive effects on the students’ quality of English writing in terms of content/ideas, organization/development, and language. Furthermore, reflective learning significantly improved the lexical diversity of their English writing; it also enhanced the cohesion and coherence of their writing through the improvement in referential coherence and semantic overlapping. Thematic analysis of the subjects’ reflective journals corresponds to these findings while also indicating that reflective learning helps elevate their self-efficacy in English writing

The Ultimate Goal of Human Being Exploring Diseases

    Get PDF
The pursuit of understanding and conquering disease has long been a central theme in human history. This article explores the ultimate goal behind humanity’s relentless effort to investigate diseases—not merely to extend life, but to elevate the quality and dignity of human existence. Drawing from philosophical, scientific, and ethical perspectives, we argue that disease exploration transcends biomedical boundaries. It reflects a deep, intrinsic human desire to exert agency over suffering, enhance resilience, foster social equity, and illuminate the human condition. We trace the evolution of disease inquiry from ancient herbalism to genomic medicine and digital health, highlighting how it mirrors progress in both knowledge and compassion. Ultimately, this journey reflects not just a biological imperative but a moral one: to reduce suffering, ensure justice in health, and construct a world where the vulnerabilities of illness are met with understanding, solidarity, and purposeful action. Disease exploration, in essence, is a profound expression of what it means to be human

    Peer Effects of High-Achieving Students

Peer effects have not only near-term impacts on adolescents’ cognitive and non-cognitive development but also implications for their lifelong trajectories. This study is an investigation into the effects of the proportion of high-achieving students in a class on cognitive performance, educational expectations, school adaptation, and mental health of their classmates, based on data of middle school students with random class assignment from the China Education Panel Survey (CEPS).&nbsp

Perspectives of Undergraduate and Graduate Students on Utilizing ChatGPT: Analyzing Its Role in Question Preparation

    Get PDF
Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into daily life across various sectors such as banking, healthcare, tourism, and education. This research aims to investigate science teacher candidates’ opinions on using ChatGPT in education and their approaches to preparing questions with this artificial intelligence tool. Specifically, it aims to elucidate the role of ChatGPT in question preparation processes and its potential applications in education. A case study methodology was employed, focusing on 17 fourth-year science teacher candidates and 6 graduate students in a science education master’s program during the fall semester of 2023-2024. Data were collected using an interview form and images of participants’ conversations with ChatGPT. Content analysis of the data reveals that most participants intend to use ChatGPT in their teaching process for research and question creation. Participants provided specific details in their prompts to ChatGPT, including grade level, unit, subject area, learning outcomes, question type, number, and difficulty level. This study highlights the potential of ChatGPT to enhance educational practices and support teachers in personalizing learning experiences

    Pain Management in Hospital

In corridors of hushed command, Where healing rests in practiced hands, The cries are quiet, not always loud— Pain wears many forms beneath the shroud. A furrowed brow, a breath held tight, A wince that hides from nurse’s sight. Pain does not always scream or bleed, It whispers what the body needs. And so begins the careful art— To ease the ache, to calm the heart. With every chart and bedside round, A story’s told without a sound. “How bad’s the pain—now tell me true, From one to ten, what number’s you?” Yet numbers fail to grasp the scale Of burning bone or spirit frail

Meritocracy in Education: Bridging or Widening Educational Inequality

    Get PDF
Meritocracy emphasizes that reward for and advancement of the individuals should be based on their effort and talent. It finds a strong echo in the Chinese educational tradition, which places high value on the notion that “hard work pays off.” Nevertheless, in the context of the exacerbation of structural social inequalities, a sizable number of studies find that meritocracy, in practice, is unable to promote fairness, but instead obscures the issue of uneven distribution of education resources, further widening the disparities in educational opportunities between students with different socioeconomic status (SES). Based on data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS), this study is an empirical analysis of the effects of the meritocratic belief on access to educational opportunities in Chinese adolescents, as well as its heterogeneous effects among students with distinct SES backgrounds
