No full textΉ σύνδεση της Πάτρας μέ τη Δύση είναι ασφαλώς πολύ παλαιά, γίνεται δμως στενότερη μέ τη ρωμαϊκή κατάκτηση της Ελλάδος. Η νέα πολιτική τάξη πού επιβάλλεται άπο τον Αύγουστο, ευνοεί την ανάπτυξη της και έτσι σύντομα ή πόλη αναδεικνύεται σέ ενα άπο τα μεγαλύτερα αστικά κέντρα της Πελοποννήσου. Ή ιδιότητα της ώς ρωμαϊκής αποικίας και ή μοναδική γεωγραφική της θέση τήν μεταβάλλουν σέ ένα είδος πύλης της 'Ανατολής. Στο παρόν άρθρο επιχειρείται ή ανίχνευση και ή ανάλυση των γενικότερων και ειδικότερων παραγόντων αύτης της αλλαγής πού σημαδεύει, ακόμα ώς σήμερα, την ιστορία της πόλεως.Patras' relation with the West is actually very
old but it becames closer after the Roman conquest of Greece; the new political order established by Augustus favoured Patra's development and soon the city became one of the most significant urban centres in Péloponnèse. Patra's status as a Roman colony and its
unique geographical position for commercial communications with the West turned it into a kind of «Gate to the East». In the present
paper we try to investigate and analyse the general and more particular factors of this change, the most important in the city's ancient
history

No full textEncore un manuscrit du fonds de Kosinitsa. — Il
est bien connu que trois manuscrits de Princeton (les mss Garrett 5, 14 et 16) proviennent
de la bibliothèque du monastère de Kosinitsa, près de Drama. La provenance d'un quatrième manuscrit du même fonds est l'objet de cette
étude: le Garrett 6, qui vers la fin du XIXe siècle se trouvait au couvent St. André
du Mont Athos, provient aussi de la bibliothèque du monastère de Kosinitsa. Or, le fruit de cette recherche nous permet d'ajouter un chaînon de plus au fonds initial de la bibliothèque du monastère
