Clinical librarians (CLs) have been part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) for over 40 years. The role of the clinical librarian (CL) can differ widely, but the central aspect is to provide a range of information services for the members of the team within which they are embedded. With use of electronic resources rapidly replacing the traditional print versions, the role of the CL has had to evolve and adapt to help guide clinicians on best approaches to evidence-base medicine.
