This dataset encompasses the raw c-Fos expression levels across various brain regions in mice, as investigated in the study titled "Comparative brain-wide mapping of ketamine- and isoflurane-activated nuclei and functional networks in the mouse brain." The primary aim of generating and sharing this dataset is to provide a comprehensive resource for understanding the differential activation of brain regions and networks in response to ketamine and isoflurane, two commonly used anesthetics with distinct neurobiological mechanisms. The dataset includes detailed quantifications of c-Fos, an immediate early gene product used as a marker of neuronal activation, across a wide array of brain nuclei following administration of either anesthetic
