Assessing Early Communicative Milestones in Preterm and Full-Term Children Using the Pebbles App
Preterm children (born before the 37th week of pregnancy) are at an increased risk of developmental difficulties compared to their full-term peers. In this study, we examine early communication differences between preterm and full-term children using the Pebbles App
What drives antisemitic hostility in the 21st century? A comparative case study of Germany, Sweden, and Russia (1990–2020)
Public concern about antisemitism has increased globally in the 21st century, sparking renewed interest from social scientists. However, the crucial question of why trajectories of antisemitic hostility differ between countries remains unanswered due to a lack of studies designed to track temporal and cross-national variation. Addressing this gap, I evaluate the explanatory power of two main lines of argument that divide the literature: generalist and particularist. While generalists see antisemitism as a manifestation of general outgroup hostility common to various forms of prejudice, particularists stress the contextual specificity of antisemitism and posit that its 21st-century expressions are distinctively linked to antizionist sentiment (enmity toward Israel and its supporters). I derive observable implications from these positions and conduct a comparative, longitudinal case study of antisemitic hostility in Germany, Sweden, and Russia (1990--2020), using a mixed-methods approach to integrate incident counts, victimization surveys, media analysis, and expert interviews. Findings match predictions from the particularist position, with flare-ups in the Israel-Palestine conflict generating or catalyzing antisemitic hostility depending on the strength of local antizionist sentiment, thus demonstrating the centrality of the "Israel factor" in contemporary antisemitism

Disrupting Criminal Networks: a Scoping Review of Network Disruption Methods
This review study provides an analysis of criminal network disruption methods with a focus on literature that describes criminal network resilience in the face of law enforcement intervention. By offering a comprehensive overview of the topic, this review not only adds to the existing literature but also serves as a valuable resource for policy makers, researchers, and law enforcement in understanding criminal network dynamics

AI hinders meaningfulness?:Effects of chatbot guidance on service evaluation in product assembly contexts
PurposeProduct assembly is not only a functional step in product delivery but also a potentially meaningful hands-on experience for consumers. To reduce the potential difficulties encountered during assembly, some firms are replacing traditional manuals with chatbot guidance. However, the impact of such interventions on consumer responses remains underexplored. This research aims to investigate how chatbot support in product assembly tasks – specifically in static versus video formats – affects perceived meaningfulness and, in turn, evaluations of the brand and service.Design/methodology/approachWe conducted two experiments: an online scenario-based experiment using a 3 (manual vs static chatbot vs video chatbot) × 2 (simple vs complex task) between-subjects design and a laboratory experiment in which participants completed actual product assembly tasks. ANOVA and PROCESS-based mediation and moderation analyses were used to test the proposed hypotheses.FindingsThe results demonstrate a serial mediation effect: chatbot guidance reduces consumers' perceived meaningfulness, which diminishes brand intimacy and, subsequently, service evaluations. The negative effect is strongest for video chatbot guidance. Importantly, these effects are attenuated when product assembly tasks are more complex or when consumers have lower hands-on ability.Originality/valueThis study advances the understanding of human–chatbot interaction by examining how chatbot support reshapes consumers’ assembly experiences. The findings highlight the importance of perceived meaningfulness and suggest that chatbot use should be tailored for consumers with lower hands-on abilities or for situations involving more complex tasks
How Innovation Companies Play Games That Tech Giants Can't Win
Sharing Is Ethicizing:Examining the Impact of Sharing Observed Unethical Behavior With Family Members on Ethical Voice at Work
“It takes a village” to build an ethical workplace, and employees who witness unethical behavior in the workplace play a crucial role in alerting organizations to wrongdoing and preventing its recurrence. While prior research has primarily focused on personal and intraorganizational factors shaping observer responses to workplace unethical behavior, the potential influence of extraorganizational factors has been largely overlooked. Recognizing that employees often share workplace experiences with close others, such as their family members, we explore how the extent of sharing with family members influences employee responses to observed unethical behavior. Integrating the functional perspective of rumination and social sharing research, we theorize that the extent of sharing with family members increases observer reflective rumination about the unethical behavior and their tendency to engage in ethical voice at work. We found empirical evidence in two critical incident surveys (Studies 1 and 4), an experiment (Study 2), and a cross-lagged panel survey (Study 3). Finally, we discuss the theoretical and practical implications of this research. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2026 APA, all rights reserved
