    HOSPITAL PHARMACY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

    Generally, the electronic technology has been implemented to automate the traditional systems. So, differentcopy of management systems in different scope were presented. These systems include the services provided to company as wellas people, such as, healthcare. The traditional data management systems for pharmacy as example, suffer fromthe capacity, time consuming, medicines accessibility, managing the medicines store as well as the need of qualifiedstaff according to the requirements of employer expectations. In this paper, a hospital e-pharmacy system is proposed in order to facilitate the job, outdo the mentioned problems. A data management system to the Iraqi hospital\u27s pharmacy is proposed which is divided into two main parts: database, and Graphical User Interface (GUI) frames. The database built using SQL Server contains the pharmacy information relatedto the medicines, patient information….etc. the GUI frames ease the use of the proposed system by unskilled users. Theproposal system is responsible on monitoring and controlling the work of pharmacy in hospital in terms of management ofmedicine issuing ordering and hospital reports

    Automatic Vehicle Accident Detection Based on GSM System

    The evolution of technology has increased the rate of traffic accidents that occurs frequently causing loss of lifeand property. Therefore, the automatic traffic monitoring system gradually attracted the attention of researchers in improvingtraffic safety through the field of intelligent transport systems. In this paper, a cost-effective approach based on GSM systemfor automatic traffic incident detection is proposed. This paper provides an optimal solution to reduce the death rate by usingthe vibration sensor and GSM system; the implementation system is based on hardware (circuits) and software to build agraphical user interface (GUI) using LabView TM to process the data. Sensors are installed into the vehicles on each side ofthe vehicle. An SMS will be sent to the user after the accident. This system will assist in search and rescue vehicle involved inthe accident

    Points Descriptor in Pattern Recognition: A New Approach

    We presented in the paper a new tactic, the first thing we have done is extracting the points of descriptor,which it is used in pattern recognition, especially in detection of corner algorithm. Scales of samples (images),each image is tuned by a factor (scale), collect the corners, and collect the points of descriptor key in thesecollected corners, in other words; Hough Transform uses the collected descriptors for classification process, andclassify each points of image to its equivalence class. Experimentally, by using MATLAB, we are shown highaccuracy of recognition result on the selected samples of objects

    PID Controller Design for Cruise Control System using Particle Swarm Optimization

    This paper presents a design of a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller for automobile cruise controlsystem. The parameters of the PID controller, which are the proportional ( ), derivative ( ) , and integrator ( ), have beenselected using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. In this study, the overall system performance has beencompared with other predesigned controllers (conventional PID, Fuzzy logic PID, state space, and Genetic algorithm basedPID controller). The simulation result illustrates that PSO based PID controller gives the best response in terms of settlingtime, rise time, peak time, and maximum overshot. The robustness analysis shows that the system is robust despite thedeviations in some of the system parameters

    Sense-Based Arabic Information Retrieval Using Harmony Search Algorithm

    Information Retrieval (IR) is a field of computer science that deals with storing, searching, and retrievingdocuments that satisfy the user need. The modern standard Arabic language is rich in multiple meanings (senses) for manywords and this is substantially due to lack of diacritical marks. The task for finding appropriate meanings is a key demand inmost of the Arabic IR applications. Actually, the successful system should not be interested only in the retrieval quality andoblivious to the system efficiency. Thus, this paper contributes to improve the system effectiveness by finding appropriatestemming methodology, word sense disambiguation, and query expansion for addressing the retrieval quality of AIR. Also, itcontributes to improve the system efficiency through using a powerful metaheuristic search called Harmony Search (HS)algorithm inspired from the musical improvisation processes. The performance of the proposed system outperforms the one inthe traditional system in a rate of 19.5% while reduces the latency in an approximate rate of 0.077 second for each query

    Blended Learning Using Virtual Reality Environments

    Immersive virtual reality isn’t just for gaming. It’s poised to have a big impact on education as well, giving students an opportunity to interact with content in three-dimensional learning environments. Blended learning, according to the Inn sight Institute is "a formal education program in which a student learns at least inpart through online delivery of content and instruction with some element of student\u27 control over time, place, path and/orpace". On the other hand, there are many disadvantage found in blended learning such as the learners with low motivation or bad study habits may fall behind, and many others. So, there is an essential need to improve and develop the theory of the blended learning by using virtual reality environments and get rid of these disadvantages to develop the faceto-face learning to add a lot of features such as excitement and make it more efficient. As well as affirms clarity of the scientific content of the lecture that the student may be miss them by absent or even mentally, so student can live atmosphere the lecture again and overcome the difficulties resulting from the using blended learning or traditional learning. Firstly, this approach is applied by building a specialized website application that allow using virtual reality feature in order to measure the effectiveness of this study on students, and then a questionnaires was designed and the information result of these questionnaires impact was gathered. It is found that, the most of students were excited, active and they understand the lecture in an easy way with a high Likert Scale (4.74), but they found difficulties in using VR tools which has a low Likert scale (2.66)

    Design of Secure Chatting Application with End to End Encryption for Android Platform

    In this paper, a secure chatting application with end to end encryption for smart phones that used the android OS has beenproposed. This is achieved by the use of public key cryptography techniques. The proposed application used the Elliptic Curve DiffieHellman Key Exchange (ECDH) algorithm to generate the key pair and exchange to produce the shared key that will be used for theencryption of data by symmetric algorithms. The proposed Application allows the users to communicate via text messages, voicemessages and photos. For the text message security the standard AES algorithm with a 128 bit key are used. The generated key (160 bit)minimized to 128 bit length by selecting the first 128 bit of the generated key in order to be used by the AES algorithm. For the voice andimage security processes the proposed application used the symmetric algorithm RC4 for this purpose

    Quadcopter Based Object Detection and Localization

    This paper presents the development and integration of an X-configuration quadcopter with an IP camera for objectdetection based on the color of an object. A KK2 microcontroller is used to control the quadcopter movements. The controller has builtingyros that provide heading rate information, which are used to control the movement of the quadcopter. The parts of the whole UAV are selectedand integrated. The calibration processes are handled after installing necessary controller codes. This is to make quadcopter fly moothly according to its set commands. The IP camera is then attached to the quadcopter frame. Mobile camera with GPS receiver is used for objectdetection and localization. Images are captured from the IP camera; the three-dimensional position information for the quadcopter is recorded by the GPS receiver, and then the whole data are sent repeatedly from the Mobile to a ground station computer via wireless communication link. Two algorithms are next implemented to acquire and analyze the Images received form the IP camera. The results show that the images was captured and analyzed successfully, and the objects were detected according to their color and its approximate position was reported
