    The Effect of the Project-Based Learning Model on the 4C Skills (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, and Collaboration) of Elementary School Students

    This research aims to examine the effect of the project-based learning model on elementary school students\u27 4C skills. This research is a quasi-quantitative experimental research. The sampling technique used at the SD Negeri 2 Perm Way Kandis location was an arbitrary cluster technique. The research sample consisted of two groups: experimental class IV A, totaling 28 students, and control class IV B, totaling 30 students. Data collection techniques use tests and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of data analysis can be used to identify the impact of critical thinking skills and creativity. The average pretest score for the experimental class was 40.89, the posttest score was 81.07, the average pretest score for students in the control class was 44, and the posttest score was 80.16, higher in the experimental class than the control class. Based on the analysis of experimental class student questionnaire data, the questionnaire data was used as a measuring tool for students\u27 level of skill achievement, communication, and collaboration in the experimental and control classes, and an average score of 82 was obtained. Furthermore, the average score for the control class was 79.5. The results of the t-test using the SPSS StatisticsV for Windows application obtained a value of Sig<0.05(5) on Sig(two-sided), namely 0.000<0.05(5) for 28 students. Based on this research, PJBL has a significant impact on improving students\u27 4C skills

    The Effect of Person-Job Fit and Job Embeddedness on a Teacher’s Task Performance

    The quality of an institution can be seen through the task performance of its employees. Task performance can be enhanced with various supportive aspects, including fulfilling work wants and needs, individual-job fit congruence, individual and job or institutional attachment, and formal and informal relationships with coworkers. This study aims to determine how the influence of person-job fit on a teacher\u27s job embeddedness, the influence of person-job fit on a teacher\u27s task performance, and the influence of job embeddedness on the task performance of public junior high school teachers in Bengkulu City. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data were then analyzed descriptively to answer the research questions. One hundred fourteen respondents from various public junior high schools in Bengkulu City were taken randomly. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire instrument. Results revealed a noteworthy positive correlation between person-job fit and job embeddedness (t=10.876, p<0.05), as well as a significant positive effect on the task performance of teachers (t=5.223, p<0.05). Conversely, job embeddedness did not significantly affect teacher task performance (t=0.027, p>0.05). This study underscores the importance of prioritizing institutional leaders prioritizing employee needs fulfilment, as it serves as a vital support mechanism for enhancing task performance

    Implementation of Project-Based Learning Model in Integrated Science Learning to Improve Science Literacy Aspects

    This research aims to improve aspects of science literacy by implementing the project-based learning model in integrated science learning for class VIII students at SMP N 1 Soa. Therefore, Classroom Action Research (CAR) was employed in two cycles: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research results show that through the project-based learning model, the percentage in the context aspect in Cycle I was 48.27% with sufficient criteria, while in Cycle II, the percentage was 68.96% in the good category and experienced an increase of 20.69%. The percentage of content aspects in Cycle I was 55.17% with good criteria, while in Cycle II, the percentage was 72.41% in the good category and experienced an increase of 17.24%. The percentage of process aspects in Cycle I was 27.58% with good criteria, while in Cycle II, the percentage was 51.72% in the good category and experienced an increase of 24.14%. Based on the research results, a project-based learning model application helps the students improve science literacy. They become more active and able to work together well in groups by increasing their motivation to learn and their skills in solving problems. With creativity, a project-based learning model application can help in training students to solve problems from various points of view

    The Urgency of Positive Relationships in Fostering Learning Motivation

    The purpose of this research is to understand the importance of how positive relationships can foster student learning motivation and develop strategies that can improve positive relationships and learning motivation in the educational environment. This research was conducted at the KH Mas Mansur UMS Student Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative and field study approach, conducted directly in the field using objective data. Data collection techniques with observation are carried out in observation to be able to observe the object under study, interviews to collect some information and informants to obtain data, and documentation is used as supporting data to help obtain credible data. To test data credibility, researchers use triangulation, which can be interpreted as checking data from various sources in different ways and at various times, using triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results of this study explain the strategies for choosing positive relationships, the criteria for positive relationships referred to by students, and the importance of positive relationships in fostering learning motivation, there are five strategies, namely aligned goals and values, supportive friends, honesty and openness, commitment to education, avoidance of negative influences and indicators that can be classified that positive relationships are significant as evidenced in the discussion, namely cooperation, emotional support, healthy competition, role models, and exchange of ideas or inspiration

    Moodle-Based E-learning Development by Implementing Gamification Concept

    This research aims to produce moodle-based e-learning media by applying the concept of gamification to the subject "Visual Communication Design in Industry 4.0", targeting class X students at SMK Negeri 5 Kendari. This research uses the R & D (Research and Development) method by applying the ADDIE model research procedure (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The type of data used in this research is quantitative data derived from primary data. The data obtained in this study came from the results of public tests which included media experts, material experts, and field tests conducted by students. The data generated was then analysed using descriptive techniques to test the feasibility of the media. The results of the feasibility test conducted by three media experts stated "Very Feasible" with an average percentage of 93.89%, the results of the feasibility test conducted by three material experts stated "Very Feasible" with an average percentage of 97.08%, and also the results of the feasibility test conducted by students stated "Very Feasible" with an average percentage of 87.97% so that the gamification-based e-learning media developed is very feasible to use as learning media

    Descriptive Text Writing Skills Through Picture Media in Elementary School Students

    This study aimed to describe the skills of writing descriptive text through image media in the form of identification structures or general statements and section description structures in class VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Genteng. The research data is in the form of essays/the results of learning the skills of writing descriptive text through the media of images in class VII B students at SMP Negeri 2 Genteng. Data collection techniques used documentation techniques which were carried out through five stages, namely (1) research questions, (2) determining category definitions and levels of abstraction, (3) category formulation, (4) category revision, and (5) final work. The research instrument is the researcher himself as the main instrument and is assisted by supporting instruments in the form of assessment instrument tables. The data in the study were analyzed through four stages, namely: (1) reading and studying, (2) identifying, (3) presenting the results of the categorization, and (4) concluding the results of the analysis found. The technique for testing the validity of the data in this study uses the observation persistence technique. The results of the data analysis show that there are assessment indicators in the form of (1) identification structures or general statements which include object recognition. (2) the structure of the description of the part, which includes words that refer to the names of objects, material or action verbs, and adjectives. Based on the data results, this study concludes that students are categorized as good because students can write descriptive text through media images based on assessment indicators

    Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach to Material on the Characteristics of Two-Dimentional Figures Using the Reog Ponorogo Performance in Elementary Schools

    :   It is critical to approach mathematical education correctly. This is because many students believe math is a tough subject to learn. This problem arises because many teachers teach mathematics in abstract terms. This is a qualitative descriptive study using Graveimeiijeir\u27s design research method. The research was designed to prove the truth of the allegations made in the learning trajectory or HLT (Hypothetical Learning Trajectory) and their impact on students\u27 understanding by applying the RME (Realistic Mathematics Education) approach to the material on the characteristics of two-dimensional figures, with Reog Ponorogo performance media and worksheet serving as a guide for student activities. This study was conducted on class 3B students at MI Ma\u27arif Darul Ulum Pondok. The research topic is a 6-student group in a classroom. The research stages included preparation, execution in the classroom, and data analysis. Based on this research, it can be seen that the stages of learning activities using the RME approach are based on the stages contained in the iceberg theory, namely, stages of real-world situations (situations), models that describe problem situations (model of), models for solving problems (model for), and formal mathematics stages using Reog Ponorogo performance media can make it easier for students to understand material regarding the characteristics of two-dimensional figures

    Promoting Discovery Learning to Boost the Students’ English Writing in Vocational Schools

    This study aims to examine the impact of implementing the discovery learning (DL) approach on improving students\u27 writing skills in English subjects. The study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design involving pre-tests and post-tests on two groups: a control group and an experimental group. The population of this study comprised 10th-grade students of Hospitality 1 and 2 at SMK N 6 Semarang in the 2024/2025 academic year, with Hospitality 1 as the control group and Hospitality 2 as the experimental group. In the experimental group, students were taught using the discovery learning (DL) approach, while the control group was taught without it. Data were collected through a writing test on recount texts and a closed questionnaire containing 15 questions to measure students\u27 perceptions of the discovery learning approach. The data analysis, conducted using SPSS 27, revealed that the t-value (9.830) was greater than the t-table value (1.849) at a significance level of 0.025 with 27 degrees of freedom. This indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, showing a significant effect of discovery learning on students\u27 writing skills. The questionnaire results demonstrated that students responded positively to this method, stating that discovery learning helped them become more active and engaged in the learning process. In conclusion, implementing the discovery learning (DL) approach significantly improves students\u27 writing skills, making it an effective alternative for enhancing writing abilities in English language learning. The implication of this study suggests that teachers are encouraged to integrate discovery learning into their teaching strategies to foster active student participation and achieve optimal learning outcomes

    The Effectiveness of Group Counseling with Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) in Reducing Student Anxiety in Facing Exams

    The background of this research is based on the anxiety problems that often occur in students when facing an exam. This can be seen in students when taking exams‚ students often experience anxiety symptoms such as cold sweats‚ tremors‚ sleeping difficulty when exam day is near. Efforts made in dealing with this challenge are group counseling using a rational emotive behavior therapy approach. This research aims to see the effectiveness of group counseling with a rational emotive behavior therapy approach in reducing anxiety in facing exam students. This study uses an experimental design with a pretest and post-test control group design. The subjects in this study were students of SMAN 13 Padang. This study uses an experimental design with a pretest and post-test control group design. The subjects in this study were students of SMAN 13 Padang, who revealed sixteen students with high and moderate anxiety categories. The instrument used in this study is the instrument to face the test with a Likert scale. The population in this study are students of SMAN 13 Padang, with seven samples in the control group and 7 in the experimental group. The technique used is the Purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and the Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Independent Sample test with the help of SPSS version 20.00. The results of this study indicate that group counseling with a rational emotive behavior therapy approach effectively reduces students\u27 anxiety in facing exams

    Preliminery Research Phase Analysis as a Basis for Developing a Plant Morphology Practical Guidebook Based on a Scientific Approach

    This research was motivated by problems in practicum activities that the researcher found as a lecturer teaching plant morphology courses, one of which was that the plant morphology practicum did not have a practicum manual that was able to hone students\u27 science process skills. The aim of this research is to describe preliminery research phase data obtained as a basis for developing a plant morphology practicum guidebook based on a scientific approach. This type of research is development research using the Plomp development model, the research only reached the first stage, namely the preliminery research phase. The number of sampels in this study was 96 biology education students at FKIP UIR. The research instruments are RPS analysis sheets, interview sheets, observation sheets, problem and needs questionnaires. The results of the research revealed that from the RPS analysis there were 6 topics that would be put into practice, 10.83% state the practical guidebook was not based on a scientific approach, and based on the needs questionnaire, 100% of students agreed that it was necessary to develop a plant morphology practical guidebook based on a scientific approach. It can be concluded that based on preliminery research phase data, it is necessary to develop a practical guidebook for plant morphology based on a scientific approach. The expected implication of this research is that after the plant morphology practicum manual based on a scientific approach passes tests of validity, practicality and effectiveness, that can improve practicum learning outcomes and hone students\u27 science process skills
