The Effect of Academic Stress on the Cognitive Function of Medical Students

Stress, as a body\u27s response to maintaining the balance of bodily functions, can affect academic performance and is categorized as academic stress. Medical education has special characteristics that distinguish it from other study programs due to the higher challenges in the educational process. This study aimed to determine the effect of academic stress on cognitive function in medical students, which was analyzed through the students\u27 grade point average (GPA). The research was carried out using a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The subject was a medical student at Universitas Gunadarma. The number of samples was 130 respondents. A Medical Student Stressor Questionnaire (MSSQ) was administered. The student\u27s GPA was collected. The data was analyzed using the Gamma test. The results were obtained that the majority of respondents experienced high-category stress. The majority of medical students had a GPA between 3 to 4. The analysis results showed that there was a significant correlation between the academic stress of the medical student and the GPA (p=0.030). Academic stress has a positive correlation with the cognitive function of medical students. The research results are expected to be input for educational institutions to make efforts to accompany and support students in overcoming academic stress

Learning Evaluation Design Using Quizizz in Mathematics Subjects at Elementary School

This study aims to design a valid, reliable, and effective mathematics learning evaluation tool using Quizizz for grade VI students at SDN 1 Toronipa. The method used in this study is Research and Development (RnD) with a 4D development model. The validity test results showed that out of 25 questions tested, 15 were declared valid, while 10 other questions were invalid. The reliability test conducted using the Alpha Cronbach method produced a reliability coefficient of 0.960, indicating a very high level of Reliability. Analysis of the difficulty level of the questions revealed that 80% of the questions were in the "moderate" category, while the other 20% were in the "easy" category. The discrimination test results showed that most questions had "good" or "excellent" discrimination power. This study proves Quizizz is a practical, engaging, interactive evaluation tool. The evaluation tool developed meets the criteria of validity, Reliability, appropriate level of difficulty, and good discrimination power, so it can potentially increase student motivation and learning outcomes. This study provides empirical evidence that Quizizz can be an effective alternative in evaluating mathematics learning at the elementary school level

Integration of Industry Work Culture and Teachers\u27 Internship in Improving the Quality of Learning at Vocational High Schools

This study aims to analyse the influence of industrial work culture and productive teacher internship programs on the quality of education in public vocational high schools (SMK) in Kendal Regency. A quantitative approach, employing a survey method, was used to involve productive teachers from several selected schools through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression and the F-test to assess the significance of the independent variables\u27 impact on educational quality. The results showed that industrial work culture had a significant effect, contributing 37.72% to educational quality, with innovation as the dominant dimension. The productive teacher internship program also had a significant impact, contributing 20.10%, mainly through supervision and industry support dimensions. Simultaneously, both variables accounted for 57.8% of the variation in educational quality, with the remainder influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings underscore the importance of integrating industrial work culture into the learning process and implementing well-structured teacher internship programs that align with industry needs. The results serve as a reference for formulating strategic policies to enhance the relevance of vocational education in meeting labour market demands

This study aims to describe students\u27 responses to the use of YouTube videos in Citizenship Education learning and to examine the contribution of this medium in fostering an understanding and application of cooperative values. The research approach employed is a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing data collection techniques that include observation, interviews, documentation, and analysis of student worksheets. The subjects in this study consisted of 27 ninth-grade students at SMPN 11 Samarinda who were grouped into four discussion groups. The research findings indicate that most students responded positively to the use of YouTube videos. They consider the presentation of material through this media to be more interesting, easy to understand, and directly related to everyday life. In addition to improving students\u27 understanding of Citizenship Education, videos also play a role in shaping their moral attitudes, particularly the value of cooperation. This is reflected in group cooperation activities, the equal division of tasks, and the behaviour of helping one another, both when studying and in activities such as class duty. Thus, YouTube is a potential medium for applying contextual and interactive learning, especially in instilling Citizenship Education values in a more meaningful way

Technology has been applied in various areas of life, including education. Technological advances provide students with more materials and lessons to help them learn more efficiently. One application that can be used to create e-learning modules that optimize digital media. In the Exe learning program, teachers can develop modules to add text, images, and videos and create multiple-choice questions. The development of learning media using the ADDIE model includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, and it involves class X students of Computer Networks at SMKN 1 Sepulu as research subjects. Data was collected through observation, interviews and tests. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and qualitative methods. Two expert validators, material experts and media experts, carried out the validation. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. Validation results from material experts meet the requirements of 93%, which means they are very valid. The media expert results meet the requirements at 96%, which means they are valid. At the implementation stage, a trial was carried out. The results of field trials on 10th-grade Computer Network students showed that as many as 30 students obtained an average score of 92.6% with excellent qualifications, which means this media is easy for students to learn. The test results of EXE-based learning media show that the media is very suitable for use as a computer network learning medium and helps students in teaching and learning

Reproduction of Violence in Education Integrative Thematic

Integrative thematic education has contributed to the reproduction of symbolic violence through the habitus of the dominant class. This happens because not all agents have the appropriate capital and habitus. This research aims to identify the capital of parents as a representation of learners and teachers as teaching agents. The method used is qualitative with Pierre Bourdieu\u27s generative structuralism approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interview, and documentation. Bourdieu\u27s theory of reproduction and symbolic violence was used as an analytical tool. The results show that popular class students are less able to adjust the habitus recognized in integrative thematic education, so their practices are considered less appropriate. This is because their parents do not have enough capital accumulation to pass on the right habitus in education. In contrast, petty bourgeois class students who have sufficient capital and habitus are considered more appropriate so they rarely experience symbolic violence. Symbolic violence is also experienced by other popular class agents, such as senior teachers who have less cultural capital than junior teachers. Despite these challenges, integrative thematic education is still practiced because it has become a doxa-an established belief-without considering the cultural diversity of learners in rural areas
