Pronunciation Error of English Silent Letters by Unklab Nursing Students
This research was aimed at discovering the kinds of pronunciation errors made by the nursing students of Universitas Klabat in Pre Intermediate 1 class of 2025/2026 academic year. It is a descriptive quantitative method by involving 20 students from the total population of 40. Pronunciation test and interview were used as the research instruments. In this research, the researcher used 10 sentences for students to read. Every sentence has its specific English word with silent letter which became the target word to find out if the student could read them well. Every silent letter will only appear once in every sentence and the students were not allowed to repeat their pronunciations. The results of the research clearly showed that the students were preconditioned to make two kinds of errors, which are pre-systematic errors and systematic errors. The pre-systematic errors occurred more frequently than the other one. The highest errors made by the students were silent letters “l” (e.g. talk) and “p” (e.g. pneumonia) where numbers of errors for both letters were 30 (50%) out of 60 errors. The conclusion could be that the students faced difficulties when pronouncing words that are normally rare in use in their daily English practices and also because the students do not have good skills
Tinjauan Yuridis Tindak Pidana Persetubuhan dengan Anak Dibawah Umur Berdasarkan Undang-undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2014 tentang Perlindungan Anak
The increasing incidence of sexual offences against minors constitutes a serious violation of children's rights as an integral part of human rights. Such crimes not only undermine children's dignity but also cause long-term psychological harm and disrupt their development. In response, the Indonesian government enacted Law No. 35 of 2014 on Child Protection, which strengthens previous regulations by imposing minimum and maximum criminal sanctions as well as aggravated penalties for offenders in positions of authority. This study examines the legal regulation of child sexual intercourse crimes under the law, analyses factors influencing sentencing, and evaluates its implementation in judicial practice. Employing normative legal research with a legislative approach and secondary data analysis, the findings indicate that although the legal framework reflects the principle of the best interests of the child, its enforcement faces challenges, including evidentiary limitations, sentencing disparities, and low public awareness in reporting cases. Therefore, strengthened synergy among law enforcement agencies, government institutions, and the community is essential to ensure effective and equitable child protectio

Emotional Expression and Digital Ethics: A Philosophical Study of Affective Intensity In Virtual Media
his study examines the relationship between emotional expression and digital ethics in online communication, emphasizing how affective intensity shapes social interactions in virtual space. Using an interdisciplinary qualitative approach that combines the philosophy of affect and information ethics, the analysis focuses on the performativity of affect, the mechanisms of emotional commodification by algorithms, and the ethical implications of digital expression practices. A review of concepts referencing the work of Sara Ahmed, Brian Massumi, and Luciano Floridi indicates that emotions in digital media are constructed through algorithmic logic operating within the framework of affective capitalism. Affective intensity can be a means of social and political mobilization, but it also has the potential to give rise to forms of emotional violence, including polarization and doxing. On the other hand, the pressure to display certain emotions for digital incentives creates tension between authenticity and performativity. The digital space ultimately creates a hierarchy of affection that blurs the lines between expression and manipulation and reinforces inequalities in emotional representation. Based on these findings, this study proposes strengthening affective literacy to equip users with the skills to critically recognize and evaluate emotional dynamics, while also promoting the development of more ethical and inclusive technology designs to create a healthy and emotionally just digital ecosystem
Visual Learning the Role of Films in Enhancing English Language Proficiency Among Primary School Students

The Da’wah Movement and Indonesia’s Moral Crisis: Between Mental Revolution and Akhlak Revolution
This article aims to discuss the contestation of discourse in improving the nation's morality between two movements: the Mental Revolution—an initiative to reform the nation's character through modernization of mindset and work ethic, introduced by President Joko Widodo—and the Akhlak Revolution, a da'wah movement advocating the restoration of individual morality based on Islamic values, popularized by Habib Rizieq Shihab. The analysis in this article employs a political approach grounded in Michel Foucault's postmodern theoretical framework, which provides the basis for the discussion. The contestation between the two revolutions reflects ideological differences and power dynamics that shape the discourse on morality in society. Using a qualitative-interpretive research method, data were collected from YouTube using digital documentation techniques and analyzed through source triangulation validity testing, as proposed by Miles and Huberman. The findings reveal both conceptual and practical distinctions between the Mental Revolution and the Akhlak Revolution. The Mental Revolution is viewed as more pragmatic, grounded in state policies targeting civil servants and the bureaucracy, whereas the Akhlak Revolution emphasizes individual moral improvement through a religious framework. From a Foucauldian perspective, this distinction illustrates two forms of disciplinary power: the state exerts control through formal policy, while religious institutions influence morality through social norms and values. Although both initiatives offer responses to moral degradation, each has also faced criticism and resistance. This article argues for the need for synergy between state and religious approaches to promote more comprehensive moral transformation within society.
Between Theocracy and Pluralism: Identity Politics and Local Leadership in Indonesia
The rise of religious-based identity politics in Indonesia has significantly influenced local governance, particularly among regional heads who integrate Islamic values into public administration. Conversely, the principle of pluralism—as a cornerstone of democracy—demands inclusivity and equal treatment for all societal groups. This study aims to examine and compare two leadership models of regional heads in Indonesia: one oriented toward Islamic theocracy and the other toward democratic pluralism, with a focus on their respective implications for the development of modern civil society. Employing a qualitative comparative case study approach, the research analyzes two regions with distinct leadership orientations. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and participant observation. The findings reveal that theocratic leadership emphasizes religious values and moral accountability, often enhancing religious identity but risking exclusion and limited civic space. In contrast, pluralist leadership promotes diversity and participatory governance, yet faces challenges in building a cohesive collective identity. The study concludes that effective local governance in a diverse society requires a balanced integration of moral-religious values and inclusive democratic principles to ensure fairness, legitimacy, and sustainability in civil society development
Discourse of Contemporary Islamic Education: Dichotomy, Islamization, and Integration of Science
This study examines the discourse of contemporary Islamic education in facing the challenges of the dichotomy of science, the Islamization movement, and the paradigm of scientific integration. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach with the library research method, data was obtained from secondary sources such as books, journal articles, and other relevant documents. The research location is conceptual, based on the study of the scientific literature. The data collection technique is carried out through documentation, then analyzed with content analysis techniques to identify the main themes and build a conceptual construction. The results of the study show that the dichotomy between religious science and general science is a historical problem that has caused dualism in the Islamic education system. The Islamization movement emerged as a reaction to secularism, but faced challenges in its application. As a more applicable response, the integration paradigm has begun to be applied in a number of Islamic universities in Indonesia, such as UIN and IAIN, in the form of an integrated curriculum and institutional restructuring. Although promising, the implementation of science integration faces obstacles such as academic resistance, lack of integrative training, and a scientific culture that has not yet been supportive. This study concludes that contemporary Islamic education needs to be integrative, transformative, and adaptive to the times. Systemic and sustained efforts are needed to strengthen the paradigm of integration in all aspects of Islamic education
