In most societies, lack of anterior teeth is a serious problem in a patient’s social life. While traditional removable partial dentures and implant support restorations are often the treatment of choice, fiber-reinforced composites are a conservative, fast, and cost-effective alternative for single and multiple tooth replacement
Herbal Feed Additives for Gonadal Maturity and Breeding Performance of Female Snow Trout (Schizothorax richardsonii) in Captive Condition
Addressing the issue of gonadal maturity and breeding in captive condition for a commercially important indigenous Coldwater fish, snow trout, Schizothorax richardsonii, field study was conducted with dietary supplementation of the blend of Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) root powder, dried powder of garlic (Allium sativum), and hing (Ferula asafoetida). Experimental fish of 3 years age were reared in FRP tanks (n = 4) of 1200 L capacity with stocking density of n = 60 in each tank and fed with control (CD) and experimental (TD) diets in duplicate at the feeding rate of 3–5% of their body weight twice in a day. Gonadosomatic index (GSI) and hepatosomatic index (HSI) were recorded for annual breeding cycle coupled with breeding indices in breeding season and regular monitoring of water quality parameters. In female stock, the GSI values ranges from 0.87 to 12.83 and 1.84 to 15.42 in control and treated groups, respectively. Two peaks of GSI values reflects the two breeding season of the species during the month of March and September. Similarly, HSI was lowest during the month of March and September in captive reared female fish and highest during the month of May to June and January to February, with similar trend in both, control treated and groups. In captive condition, 80% specimens were observed mature for spawning in treated group, while only 15% females were ready to spawn in control stock. The fecundity of the fish was observed in the range of 20210-23710 eggs/kg body weight with 80–94.2% fertilization rate. The egg size was observed in the range of 3.5–3.8 mm. The study revealed that 1.0% supplementation of blend of herbs in the diet is beneficial for gonadal maturity of females and better spawning of S. richardsonii in captive Coldwater condition
A Comparative Study of Self-esteem among Native and Migrant Adolescents in Sultanpur District
Background: Adolescence is the age from childhood to adulthood; it is a period of physical and psychological growth and development. Self-esteem tends to be lowest in childhood and increases with age. Self-esteem affects the decision-making process, relationships, and emotional and mental well-being. People with low self-esteem may not feel motivated to try some new things, and they may also have problems with their relationships and expressing themselves. Aim: The purpose of this comparative study is to investigate the self-esteem development among native and migrant adolescents. Materials and Methods: For the study, 120 subjects were selected randomly from different areas of Sultanpur District. A self-structured interview schedule and the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale were used for data collection and analysis. Results: The study clearly revealed that native and migrant adolescents exhibited differences while trying new things, taking new challenges, and having an overall opinion about themselves. Conclusion: Adolescents have varying levels of self-esteem, which appears to be influenced by such factors as age, gender, social class, and residential status. The results of the present study reveal that the self-esteem of native adolescents is higher than that of migrant adolescents. This may be due to the fact that native adolescents are more secure than migrant adolescents

Exploratory Data Analysis and Decision Tree Modeling for Autism Spectrum Disorder: Machine Learning Approach
As the early diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is critical the high accuracy machine learning can be applied to achieve technology based diagnosis. In this context, the present study demonstrates machine learning approach for ASD diagnosis using decision tree (DT) modeling. The dataset employed in the present study comprises two classes of ASD adults with a sample size of 704 instances. The DT model entails a recursive partitioning approach implemented in the “rpart” package of R. The optimum model is derived by tuning parameters such as Min split, Min bucket, Max depth, and complexity. The performance of the model is evaluated in terms of the mean square error estimate of the error rate
Metallic Nanoparticles as Antimicrobials and Radiosensitizers: A Review
Nanoparticles have shown unique physical and chemical properties that have opened new era for chemotherapy, cancer therapy, and radiotherapy. As an improved technology for targeting tumors, it is suggested that nanoparticles can become clinically useful for radio sensitization and as an antimicrobials can be utilized in topical formulations such as ointments, gels, and creams. There are different types of nanoparticles involved in the treatment of cancer radiotherapy and tumor selective radiosensitizer which have been classified into different groups. One of the widest applications of nanoparticles is assigned to noble metal nanoparticles (MNPs) or metal-based radiosensitizers. MNPs are the entities of pure metals smaller than the scale of microns, that is, between 1 and 100 nm in size. These include gold, silver, zinc, platinum, iron, gadolinium, cerium, titanium, tantalum, Bismuth, Hafnium, and copper and their oxides, sulfides, phosphates, and chlorides. MNPs due to their unique physical and chemical characteristics such as large surface energy, larger surface-area-to-volume ratio, quantum confinement, and plasmon excitation have emerged as a powerful tool for bioimaging and diagnostic of cancer and other clinical applications. Therefore, this paper discusses the wider applications of metal-based nanoparticles in enhancing radiosensitivity in debt. Improving mechanistic approach and understanding in nanoparticles, the outcome of this study will be of enormous benefit in radiotherapy
