نظرية العقلانية المؤمنة عند الدكتور محمد عمارة رحمه الله: Theory of Faithful Rationality in the view of Dr. Muhammad Amara (RA)

    No full text
In Islam Rational or Intellect (Al-Aql) has a high and unique position, which we cannot found in other previous religions. It is a compulsory condition for the submission, practice and conformity of Islamic rules and regulations. The basic source of Faithful Rationality; is the Noble Quran, while there are 267 verses discussing Rational through various aspects. But there is one thing else which is called An-Naql mean Revelation (Holy Quran and Sunnah) instruction received through Revelation or Wahi. In addition, intellect in Islamic Shariah is a source for gaining knowledge and achieving reality of things, but not a perfect source. This is a capability of human being which is limited and need guidance from An-Naql or Revelation, and it is subordinate of Revelation. A person can achieve through utilization of intellect highest ranking of guidance and direction. But in this era especially in western civilization Rational is considered as opposition or incompatible to Revelation or An-Naql or at least there is some misconception in this regard, while the opposite of intellect is madness rather than An-Naql because Islam insist on rationality and use of intellect so many time in various ways and which is a mandatory requirement for the compulsion of Islamic rules and instruction. Keywords: Al-Aql, Rationality, An-Naql, Revelation, incompatibility

Background: Needlestick injuries pose a risk to Health Care Workers and patients with whom they interact. These sharp injuries put nursing staff at high risk for occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens (such as HBV, HCV, and HIV), which is continually adding to the burden of chronic liver disease in our country. HCWs must have comprehensive training in NSI prevention and management to avoid the spread of these infections. As nurses are most at risk for needle stick injuries, our goal was to evaluate and compare the degree of knowledge regarding safety measures to prevent needle stick injuries among nurses. Methods: This study design was cross-sectional and conducted between March and August 2022. The 360 female registered nurses engaged in direct patient care at Nishtar Teaching Hospital in Multan, were selected by using a simple random selection procedure. Data were gathered using a quantitative manipulative questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 20.0. Nurses' needle-stick knowledge and safety procedures were correlated using the Chi-square test. The significance (p. value) was selected as 0.05. Results: In regard to needle stick injuries, the results indicated that 48.9% of nurses had enough knowledge, whereas 46.8% agreed with current practice. The majority of nurses (76.6%) know that a needle stick accident is a percutaneous injury, but only 57.8% recognize that it poses a danger for the spread of blood-borne diseases. Roughly half of the nursing workforce believes that needle stick casualties are inevitable. Questions such, as "Do needlestick injuries cause the spread of pathogens?" have a high Chi-square value because of the strong correlation between nursing expertise and age. The best category for knowledge and practice was found among nurses with 6-10 years of experience, suggesting that nurses' length of service to an organization shapes their expertise. Conclusion: The frequency of needle and sharp injuries may be decreased by educating people on how to avoid them by utilizing personal protective equipment while handling contaminated needles and sharp objects that contain blood or other bodily fluids

Implications of Jurisprudential Differences in Da’wah: دعوت دین میں فقہی اختلافات کے اثرات

    No full text
Abstract In summary, jurisprudential differences can have both positive and negative effects on the da'wah of a religion. On the one hand it can also be used as a tool to increase understanding between different communities. Clear communication, respectful dialogue, and a focus on common ground can help minimize negative impacts and maximize positive impacts. There these differences lead to sectarianism and division in the Da'wah. Preachers with different juristic views emphasize certain aspects of the faith and downplay others, leading followers to develop a narrow and exclusive understanding of their religion. This results in the isolation of those who don't share the mainstream viewpoints and puts obstacles in the way of interfaith communication and understanding. However, jurisprudential divergences can sometimes benefit religious communities. By promoting an open and polite discourse about religious beliefs and practises, it can promote a greater understanding of faith and an inclusive community. It can also encourage critical thinking and push believers to reevaluate their opinions, resulting in a more detailed and nuanced understanding of the religion. These Dawat Deen jurisprudential effects will be critically assessed in this essay.. Keywords Dawat e Deen , jurisprudential differences , effect

Impacts of Conqueror Nations of Holy Land on the Semitic Religions

    Get PDF
Allah Almighty granted the Holy Land to his selected peoples on earth. When the Prophet David conquered it, he was called the Caliph by Almighty. Jerusalem had been in the hands of Israelites, the chosen nation. They take it easy and could not obey Almighty's day to day instructions. In this way they became disobedient to their Prophets which was not according to the standards of the Caliphate of the Promised Land. In the result of it, they faced the conquerors of their rival nations. Allah gave them some opportunities but their disqualification from being the chosen nation confirmed when they tried to crucify the Messiah. Centuries later, the Last Prophet of Allah came. His journey to the heavens began by the Jerusalem after his pray to all the Prophets. The conquerors of the Holy Land have contributed to the transformation of the Caliphate. In the Biblical Period, the nations of Assyrians and Chaldeans became global powers. Because of Israelites' disobedience, both Semitic nations repeatedly imposed on Israel and Judah. Iranians, the descendants of Japheth recovered this crisis. The Diaspora of Jews began when they were expelled by the Romans. This conqueror nation converted to Christianity so it spread in the Roman Empire. The Arabs became the rulers of Muslims until the Crusaders of Europe and Mongolian Tatars conquerors transferred the Caliphate to non-Arab Muslims. Because of the British conquest and, consequently, the Zionist occupation in the Holy Land, countdown of the Final Age started, in which the final decision of the Semitic religions will be made clear by the Rapture of Messiah

    Get PDF
The existing interpretations of verse 8:57 of Al-Qur’an give punitive directives to deal with the captives if the Muslim fighters dominate the war over the unbelievers. However, many other Qur’anic verses as well as the teachings and actions of the Prophet (PBUH) direct the Muslims that the captives of war should be treated with lenience and honor, and fed them properly. This research aims to find a softer and more moderate version of the interpretation of this verse. The necessary resources required for this research have been taken mainly from the Qur’anic verses and hadiths of the Prophet (PBUH). The existing translations and interpretations (Tafsirs) of verse 8:57 have been studied and the comments of some renowned interpreters have been taken as the background resources for this research work. It has been understood that the "فَشَرِّدْ بِهِم” of this verse may be interpreted differently than as interpreted in the existing Tafsirs. Supporting Qur’anic verses, in this regard, have been identified, and the information from these verses has been taken into account as the resources for this research. The relevant information obtained from these verses has been adopted into the translation and interpretation of verse 8:57. This research gives a modified and moderate version of the interpretation of verse 8:57 of Al-Qur’an. &nbsp

    Get PDF
The current study intended to explore the mediating role of eudaimonic well-being in relationship with psychological capital and hedonic well-being among school teachers. The correlational research design was implemented. The sample of school teachers (N = 250) from different government and private schools in Sargodha District, Pakistan, were approached through a purposive sampling approach. The age range of the sample of school teachers was between 25 to 45 years (Mage= 31, SD= 9.38). The measures used were the Psychological Capital Questionnaire,(Luthans et al., 2007), Ryff’s Scales of Psychological Well-being (Ryff, 1989a), and the Subjective Happiness Scale (Lyubomirsky & Lepper, 1999). For data analyses, the Pearson Product Moment Correlation through Statistical Package for Social Sciences and Mediation analysis by using PROCESS Macro(Hayes, 2012) was computed. The results of correlation analysis revealed that psychological capital has a significant positive correlation with eudaimonic well-being (r = .51** p< 0.01) and hedonic well-being (r = .45** p< 0.01). The findings of mediation analysis show that eudaimonic well-being partially mediates the relationship between psychological capital and hedonic well-being among school teachers. The findings of the present study can be utilized to enhance the levels of educator’s well-being (specifically eudaimonic well-being) which in turn will positively affect their hedonic well-being. In educational set-ups, various strategies of targeted interventions such as well-being therapy along with cognitive behavior therapy can be implemented with the help of school psychologists to boost the educator’s levels of well-being
