قرآن اور بائبل کی روشنی میں آسمانی دروازوں کا تصور : ایک تقابلی مطالعہ : The Concept of Heavenly Gates in the Light of the Qur’an and the Bible: A Comparative Study
This postdoctoral research, “The Concept of Heavenly Gates: A Comparative Study of the Qur’an and the Bible”, investigates the symbolic and theological significance of the “Heavenly Gates” (Abwāb al-Samā’) within Islamic and Biblical traditions. Using a descriptive–comparative and hermeneutical method, the study explores how sacred texts employ the imagery of celestial gates to convey spiritual truths, divine accessibility, and eschatological realities.
Selected Qur’ānic verses (e.g., Al-A‘rāf 7:40; Al-Ḥijr 15:14–15; Ṣād 38:50) are examined alongside Biblical passages (e.g., Genesis 28:17; Psalms 24:7–10; Revelation 21:12) through the interpretive frameworks of classical Muslim exegetes — Al-Qurṭubī, Al-Ṭabarī, Al-Rāzī, Amīn Aḥsan Iṣlāḥī, and Dr. Israr Ahmad — and Christian commentators such as Matthew Henry and William Barclay.
The research employs qualitative hermeneutics to uncover metaphoric, moral, and cosmological layers embedded within these texts. Findings suggest that both traditions depict the “opening” of the Heavenly Gates as symbolic of divine acceptance, revelation, and spiritual elevation, while their “closure” represents estrangement from the Divine Presence.
Ultimately, this comparative analysis demonstrates that the Qur’anic and Biblical portrayals of the Heavenly Gates converge upon a shared metaphysical vision: the human soul’s journey toward divine proximity and transcendence
The Role of Translation in Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers and Its Impact on Understanding Islamic Sciences: دور الترجمة في تعليم اللغة العربية للناطقين بغيرها وأثرها في فهم العلوم الإسلامية
This study examines the role of translation in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, with particular emphasis on its significance in facilitating the understanding of Islamic sciences. Given that Arabic is the primary language of the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical Islamic scholarship, non-native learners often face linguistic barriers that hinder their direct engagement with foundational Islamic texts. The research aims to explore how translation can function as an effective pedagogical tool that supports language acquisition while enhancing conceptual comprehension of Islamic knowledge.
The study seeks to answer several key research questions: How does translation contribute to developing linguistic competence among non-native Arabic learners? To what extent does translation aid in understanding core Islamic concepts? What are the potential limitations of relying on translation in religious and linguistic education? The social value of this research lies in its contribution to improving access to authentic Islamic knowledge for diverse Muslim and non-Muslim communities, thereby promoting intellectual inclusivity and cross-cultural understanding.
The research adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology, drawing on contemporary theories of second language acquisition, translation studies, and Islamic pedagogy. Selected educational models and instructional practices are analyzed to assess the effectiveness of translation-based approaches in teaching Arabic for Islamic purposes. The findings highlight that, when used strategically, translation serves not as a substitute for language mastery but as a bridge that supports gradual immersion into Arabic texts. The study concludes that integrating translation within structured language programs can significantly enhance both linguistic proficiency and meaningful engagement with Islamic sciences

Family Role in Food Security in Obesogenic Societies: Insights from the Sokoto Caliphate
The paper discusses the role of family in land management and farming activities in the context of the Sokoto Caliphate, led by Usmanu Danfodiyo and application in food security in obesogenic societies. The Caliphate emphasized food security through farming, with families owning land for cultivation and animal rearing. The family structure included the head of the household, members like wives, children, and others contributing to farming for food security and economic development. Key points from the paper are: Family role in food security (families in the Sokoto Caliphate engaged in farming for food security); farming practices (subsistence agriculture, animal rearing, and mixed farming were practiced); and gender roles (fathers led farming activities, mothers contributed to food processing and preparation, and children helped with light work). The paper discusses lessons from the Sokoto Caliphate's family structure and role in food security that can be applied to counter the current obesogenic culture affecting world populations.

First principal Study of Adenine, Cytosine, Guanine and Thymine of Nucleobase DNA on Graphene Layer
First principal study of tuning transport properties of nucleobase DNA molecules, such as adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G), and thymine (T) adsorbed onto Graphene quantum dots layer was studied. All calculations were performed by using an ab initio method and non-equilibrium Green’s function. The transport properties, such as density of state (DOS), transmission co-efficient (TE), energy level, and current voltage characteristics are investigated. The adsorption energy of cytosine on GQDs was -0.039 which is greater than thymine, adenine and guanine and their energy was -0.0684, -0.1034, -0.5873 eV respectively (C > T > A > G). Results show that DNA binding in a single layer of graphene quantum dots significantly affects conductance capacity. It has been demonstrated that the thymine molecule interacts strongly with the graphene quantum dots layer in terms of all transport properties. Therefore, larger current is available in the graphene quantum dots layer with adsorbed thymine molecule. It is clear that adsorbed guanine molecule onto GQDs layer show greater resonant peaks in between 25 and 30eV in DOS, whereas adsorbed adenine, cytosine and thymine molecule onto GQDs layer show nearly equal smaller peaks in between 20 and 25eV respectively (G > A C T). The adsorbed Guanine molecule onto GQDs layer offers more energy levels and improved conductivity since it has more resonance peaks and a smaller gap between them. It was indicated by theoretical studies that we can use these Graphene quantum dots-based DNA molecules as cell imaging and as swapping components in upcoming applications. One of the most revolutionary technologies of this decade may be quick, inexpensive, and accurate DNA sequencing, which may open the door to personalized treatment
Perceptions of Academic and Professional Barriers in Hospitality Education: Insights from Public Sector University Students in Pakistan
Hospitality education is an important part of preparing students for professional careers in tourism and related industries. However, in Pakistan, students of public universities often face barriers that affect both their academic learning and future employment opportunities. This study explores the perceptions of undergraduate and graduate students from a public sector university in Pakistan regarding the challenges in hospitality education.
The findings reveal that students believe hospitality programs focus more on theoretical learning than practical exposure. Many students reported a lack of industry linkages, insufficient training opportunities, and limited facilities compared to private institutions. This research contributes to understanding the gaps in hospitality education in Pakistan and offers insights that can guide improvements in academic programs and career development pathways
اخلاقِ نبوی ﷺ اور ان کے اثرات: قاضی عیاضؒ کی کتاب الشفاء کے تناظر میں ایک مطالعہ: Prophetic Ethics ﷺ and Their Impacts: A Study in the Light of Qadi ‘Iyad’s Al-Shifa
Human creation is fundamentally linked with the worship of Allah, which finds its true expression in following the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Among these teachings, noble character (Akhlaq Hamidah) stands as a central element. Qadi ‘Iyad’s classical masterpiece Al-Shifa bi Ta‘rif Huquq al-Mustafa presents a comprehensive account of the Prophet’s ﷺ rights and attributes, including the remarkable aspects of his moral character. This study seeks to explore how the noble conduct of the Prophet ﷺ contributed to the universal spread of Islam, with particular reference to the insights presented in Al-Shifa. It further aims to highlight the transformative power of Prophetic ethics in both personal spirituality and social reformation. The research employs a qualitative, descriptive, and analytical approach. Classical sources, including the Qur’an, Hadith, works of Islamic scholarship, and especially Al-Shifa, are critically examined to understand the ethical dimensions of the Prophet’s ﷺ life and their influence on Islamic expansion. The study reveals that the Prophet ﷺ was divinely perfected in character and appeared in a society marked by deep moral decline. Numerous accounts show that many embraced Islam solely due to his noble manners, though some opponents remained resistant despite witnessing his unmatched ethics. Qadi ‘Iyad’s Al-Shifa demonstrates that the Prophet’s ﷺ moral excellence was not only central to his Prophethood but also a timeless foundation for the spread of Islam. His ethics remain a universal guide for humanity and a means of bridging spiritual, social, and cultural divides

The Role of Metaphorical Language in the Quran: An Analysis
The Quran is a work of linguistic brilliance and profound spiritual depth, using metaphorical language as a central tool to express the most complex theological, moral, and spiritual ideas. This paper explores the vital role of metaphors in the Quran; it bridges the gap between human understanding and transcendent divine realities. Quranic metaphors promote a deeper comprehension of faith, divine attributes, and moral responsibilities. These metaphors do more than explain complex theological meanings; they evoke emotional as well as intellectual responses to Allah to inspire believers toward ethical behavior and spiritual devotion. The study explores the key role of Quranic metaphorical language from their linguistic, cognitive, and theological dimensions. The role of metaphors, which are mentioned in this article, is simplifying abstract spiritual concepts, encouraging reflection and contemplation, connecting Divine truths to human experience, illustrating the unseen, moral and ethical lessons, and supporting the concept of Tawhid. It focuses on how such figurative expressions would enhance the access and influence of divine guidance beyond cultural and temporal boundaries. This study aims to prove that metaphorical language can facilitate comprehension, reflection, and action in a manner that will improve the believer's journey to self-purification and closeness to Allah
