Unity is a fundamental element in the formation of an Islamic welfare society. When the individuals of a society are united and religious and sectarian harmony exists, the society flourishes. One of the major issues in Pakistani society is sectarian disharmony (sectarianism), which has severely undermined unity. The root causes of this issue lie in misunderstandings, misconceptions, and ignorance about other sects and religious groups. These causes are deeply linked to social and political structures. Students are the architects of the future, as the nation's and the community's leadership will ultimately be in their hands. The youth are trained on the right path is the one that progresses. To achieve the goal of unity in the Ummah, it is essential to ensure that students are not influenced by sectarianism. Their thinking should embody the spirit of unity and harmony. If this is instilled at the level of schools, colleges, and universities, there is no reason why the dream of national and communal unity cannot be realised. This paper aims to examine how students in educational institutions can promote sectarian harmony among their peers and within society. It will explore to what extent students are inclined towards sectarian affiliations, whether sectarian and ideological associations are causing distance and hostility among them, and whether such groups exist in educational institutions based on sectarian lines. It will also assess whether students take these groups seriously, what impact religious disharmony has on students’ education and thought processes, and what lessons and points can be drawn from the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ to promote sectarian harmony and unity among students

    Get PDF
The issue of media violence in Islamic Democratic Pakistan has been a contentious topic for over two decades, with debates surrounding its potential impact on real-life aggression. Initially, the discussion revolved around whether media violence, particularly in news broadcasts, directly contributes to societal violence. This research paper examines the role of media in normalizing violence, the cultural implications of aggression, and the diminishing empathy within Pakistani society. It critically explores how different media formats, especially news channels, represent and sensationalize violence to highlight social issues. The paper also reviews the various governmental responses to this issue and the continuing debate about censorship versus freedom of expression. It emphasizes the significance of media education in helping young people critically engage with violent content, offering a means to understand its broader social and ethical implications. Furthermore, initiatives by state of Islamic Democratic Pakistan to control media violence as well as Islamic teachings to control media violence have also been discussed in the study. Utilizing a Qualitative Technique, a deeper analysis reveals a complex web of political conflicts, media wars, and censorship debates. Advocates for the regulation of media violence argue that censorship is essential to protect vulnerable groups, particularly the youth, from exposure to harmful content. Conversely, critics view such censorship efforts as insufficient, suggesting that they merely serve as a distraction from addressing the underlying causes of violence in society. Ultimately, the study suggests that media education plays a key role in empowering the public to navigate media violence responsibly and informally

Islam is a source of comfort for the sick. The Islamic way of life provides a support mechanism and helps patients with terminal diseases. Patients being diagnosed with a terminal disease experience high levels of death anxiety and spiritual grief. It is a period for carrying oneself nearer to Allah by engaging in practices like praying and reciting the Qur'an. Religious coping can help patients with a terminal illness to better manage their death anxiety and spiritual distress, ultimately leading to an improved standard of living. It is needed that the patients dealing with death anxiety and spiritual distress due to terminal illness have proper guidance and help to develop positive coping strategies. The current study looks into the role of Quranic therapy and Islamic counseling in the context of the Quran and Hadith, on the death anxiety and spiritual distress among patients suffering from terminal illness. References from the Quran, Hadith, life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (SWT), and later on from the well-known jurists of the Islamic world have been discussed in this study, with relevance to the death anxiety and distress in terminally ill patients

Debt, Trade, and Currency Dynamics: A Panel Analysis of Growth Determinants in South Asia

    No full text
Objective: This study examines the relationships between external debt, trade fluctuations, and exchange rates concerning economic growth in South Asia. It aims to assess the impact of these macroeconomic variables on economic development and provide policy recommendations for sustainable growth. Research Gap: While previous research has explored the impact of external debt and trade fluctuations on economic growth, limited studies have conducted a comparative analysis across South Asian economies using advanced econometric techniques. Furthermore, the short- and long-term effects of exchange rate fluctuations on economic stability remain underexplored. This study fills these gaps by employing a comprehensive econometric approach to analyze data from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study utilizes data from the World Development Indicators (1990-2022) and applies pooled OLS, quantile regression, and PMG/ARDL models to test its hypotheses. These methods allow for a robust examination of both short- and long-term effects on economic growth. Theoretical / Practical Implications of the Findings: The results support the debt overhang theory, indicating that external debt negatively impacts economic growth by diverting resources from productive investments and reducing investor confidence. Trade fluctuations positively influence long-term growth but exhibit short-term volatility due to global trade dynamics and persistent trade deficits. Exchange rate stability is found to be crucial for sustained economic growth, though short-term effects depend on various economic conditions. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by offering a multi-country econometric analysis of South Asia, addressing both short- and long-term economic impacts, and recommending policy interventions for sustainable growth

عسکری توازن طاقت کے قرآنی اصول وضوابط کا تجزیاتی مطالعہ: An analytical Study of Qur’anic Principles and Regulations of Military Balance of Power

    No full text
An "Analytical Study of Qur'anic Principles and Regulations of Military Balance of Power" would likely focus on issues like legitimacy, restraint, civilian protection, and the distribution of war spoils rather than the modern concept of military balance of power itself. Instead, it would look at how principles from the Qur'an and Islamic traditions provide a framework for military conduct, leadership, and state power. Such studies are often qualitative, drawing on primary sources such as the Qur'an and the Sunnah to analyze the ethical and strategic dimensions of warfare within an Islamic context

سیاسی جماعتوں کے نظریاتی بحران، قیادت کی کمزوریاں اور قومی انتشار قرآن و سنت کی روشنی میں ایک تحقیقی جائزہ: Ideological Crisis of Political Parties,Leadership Weaknesses and National Disintegration:A Research-Based Analysis in the Light of the Qur’an and Sunnah

    No full text
This analytical study addresses the profound ideological and structural crisis prevalent in Pakistan’s political system, which has severely contributed to national discord and institutional decay. Employing a comparative analytical methodology, the research assesses contemporary political practices against the fundamental governance principles found in the Quran and Sunnah. The analysis reveals that political parties abandoned their founding ideologies for power politics and opportunistic alliances, resulting in an ideological vacuum. This structural decay is exacerbated by hereditary succession and autocratic leadership (violating the 'Rules of the Game'), which fostered the rise of ethnic/sectarian biases (Asabiyyah) and led to widespread youth alienation and loss of political legitimacy. The study concludes that sustainable political reform necessitates a return to ethical governance guided by Islamic tenets: entrusting authority based on merit (Amanat), adopting consultative decision-making (Shura), and ensuring consistency in word and action to restore national unity and political accountability

الاجتهاد الفقهي المعاصر في قضايا الإعلام الرقمي ووسائل التواصل الاجتماعي : Contemporary Islamic jurisprudence on issues of digital media and social media

    No full text
The rise of digital media and social networking platforms has introduced complex ethical and legal challenges for Muslim societies. Contemporary fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) seeks to address these issues through ijtihād (independent reasoning), drawing upon the Qur’an, Sunnah, and classical jurisprudential principles while engaging with modern realities. Issues such as digital privacy, online defamation, intellectual property, misinformation, and the responsible use of social media demand nuanced interpretations that safeguard Islamic ethical values. This study explores contemporary juristic efforts to balance freedom of expression with accountability, and technological innovation with moral responsibility, emphasizing the dynamic role of ijtihād in guiding Muslims in the digital era

الفلسفة الإسلامية وأثرها في بناء القيم الأخلاقية في العالم الرقمي الحديث : Islamic philosophy and its impact on building moral values in the modern digital world

    No full text
This study explores the role of Islamic philosophy in shaping and strengthening ethical values within the modern digital world. With the rapid growth of digital technologies, social media, and artificial intelligence, societies are facing new moral challenges such as privacy violations, cyberbullying, misinformation, and the erosion of authentic human interactions. Islamic philosophy, rooted in the Qur’an, Sunnah, and rational inquiry, provides a holistic ethical framework that emphasizes responsibility, honesty, justice, and compassion. By integrating classical Islamic philosophical principles with contemporary digital practices, this research highlights the potential of Islamic thought to serve as a guiding force for digital ethics, fostering a balanced interaction between technological advancement and moral responsibility. The paper argues that Islamic philosophical ethics can offer universal guidelines for developing a digital culture that respects human dignity, ensures social trust, and promotes collective well-being in the globalized digital era

منهج ومحتوى تعليم اللغة العربية للناطقين بغيرها في الهند : Curriculum and Content of Arabic Language Teaching for Non-native Speakers in India.

    No full text
Arabic is a global language distinguished by its deep cultural and historical legacy. Over the centuries, it has been closely linked to religious scholarship, scientific advancement, and intercultural exchange. In the Indian subcontinent, Arabic has held a significant position since early times, introduced through merchants, scholars, and religious preachers. Gradually, it became firmly rooted through both traditional and modern educational institutions, forming an essential part of India’s linguistic and cultural fabric. In India, Arabic enjoys a unique status due to its strong association with Islam, its rich intellectual and cultural heritage, and its growing relevance in diplomacy, trade, and academic research. In the context of rapid educational and technological change, there is an increasing need to design and update curricula for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers in India that align with contemporary demands and address the diverse needs of learners.Given the fast-paced transformations in education, technology, and intercultural communication, it has become essential to reassess Arabic language curricula for non-native speakers, particularly within India’s linguistically, culturally, and religiously diverse environment. Today’s learners of Arabic in India are no longer limited to the study of classical or religious texts; they also seek practical communicative competence that enables participation in academic and professional domains such as translation, media, international relations, and cultural interaction. The significance of examining Arabic language curricula for non-native speakers in contemporary India lies in assessing their responsiveness to learners’ needs and their alignment with modern approaches to foreign language education. This study aims to shed light on current curriculum development efforts, analyze their key features and challenges, and propose future directions that can enhance the effectiveness of Arabic language teaching and strengthen its role as a dynamic and relevant language in modern Indian society

Bridging the Financial Gap: Factors Influencing Cryptocurrency Adoption in Pakistan

    No full text
This research examines the major determinants driving the adoption of cryptocurrency trading in Pakistan, with a focus on how behavioral intention towards crypto trading is influenced by factors such as awareness, ease of use, enjoyment, social influence, financial knowledge, and perceived risk. The study applies the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) because of its strong explanatory power in technology adoption, and was extended with four additional constructs (awareness, financial literacy, enjoyment, and risk) to better reflect Pakistan’s socio-economic context. SEM was applied to capture the complex relationships among these variables simultaneously. Data was collected via an online survey completed by 506 participants, and the hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling (SEM). The analysis confirmed the significance of all proposed factors. Perceived enjoyment was the most influential in shaping behavioral intention, followed by awareness, ease of use (effort expectancy), social influence, financial literacy, and perceived risk. Unlike traditional UTAUT studies where perceived risk acts as a barrier, in this study it showed a positive and significant effect. This indicates that informed Pakistani users are willing to tolerate risks for potential benefits—an important contextual deviation from prior findings. This study contributes original empirical evidence regarding cryptocurrency adoption in Pakistan—an underexplored emerging market—and broadens the application of the UTAUT framework within this new context. The insights can assist stakeholders—including regulators, crypto service providers, and policymakers—in promoting adoption through improved education, user-friendly systems, and trust-building initiatives.
