Erdvinių auto-beta modelių taikymas statistiniame klasifikavime
No full textIn this paper, spatial data specified by auto-beta models is analysed by considering a supervised classification problem of classifying feature observation into one of two populations. Two classification rules based on conditional Bayes discriminant function (BDF) and linear discriminant function (LDF) are proposed. These classification rules are critically compared by the values of the actual error rates through the simulation study.Straipsnyje pristatomos naujos statistinio klasifikavimo taisyklės erdviams auto-beta modeliams. Jos paremtos sąlygine Bajeso ir tiesine diskriminantinėmis funkcijomis. Sprendžiamas uždavinys, kai erdvės taškas klasifikuojamas į 1 iš 2 populiacijų, su žinoma požymo reikšme ir mokymo aibe. Populiacijos apibrėžiamos regresoriais, bendraisiais ir klasių parametrais. Visi skaičiavimai atlikti simuliuotiems duomenims, su keletu skirtingų modelio parametrų rinkinių. Siūlomos klasifikavimo taisyklės palyginamos skaičiuojant tikrąją klasifikavimo klaidą, su skirtingais apriorinių tikimybių vertinimais

Get PDFThe rise of the Lithuanian mathematical school in the second half of the 20th century is associated with the development of probability theory and its application, and the foundations of that school were insightfully laid by the famous Lithuanian mathematician Jonas Kubilius. However, the academician also had a second vocation – the history of mathematics. At the end of the 20th century, he purposefully researched the mathematical legacy of the poet, bishop A. Baranauskas, recognizing him as the first Lithuanian mathematician researcher of the second half of the 19th century.
At the beginning of the 21st century, J. Kubilius undertook a detailed implementation of the idea of a work in the history of Lithuanian mathematics. For this purpose, an informal group of specialists was convened, the content of the work was planned, and the research-based book series ``From the History of Lithuanian Mathematics\u27\u27 was published. The fourth book in this series, Mathematics in Lithuanian Higher Education Institutions in 1921–1944, presents the research of an academic who reveals the situation of mathematics in universities in Kaunas and Vilnius.
In addition, the memoirs of mathematics history by J. Kubilius, dedicated to mathematicians Z. Žemaitis, G. Žilinskas and V. Statulevičius, should be mentioned.
The article, at the end of which fragments of the author\u27s memories are presented, is dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Academician J. Kubilius.Šiame straipsnyje nušviečiama akademiko, ilgamečio Vilniaus universiteto rektoriaus, garsaus matematiko Jono Kubiliaus (1921–2011) darbuotė, skirta Lietuvos matematikos istorijos krypčiai. Get PDFIn the context of the world health crisis, distance learning which before that was rarely used in Lithuania became practically universal, causing a number of challenges. Trying to respond to some of them, we started exploring possible advantages of between-subject integration in more effectively using on-line time and increasing interest and motivation of students. The article deals with integrating mathematics and arts in distance learning in basic school. Integrated lesson was created for grade 9, and its results and student reflection showed possibilities presented by such type of education.Pasaulinės sveikatos krizės kontekste nuotolinis ugdymas iš anksčiau retai naudojamo Lietuvoje tapo praktiškai visuotiniu, sukeldamas eilę iššūkių. Bandant atliepti į kai kuriuos iš jų, imtasi tyrinėti tarpdalykinės integracijos teikiamus privalumus, optimizuojant prie ekrano leidžiamą laiką, keliant susidomėjimą ir motyvaciją. Darbe nagrinėjama matematikos ir menų (dailės) integracija, mokant nuotoliniu būdu pagrindinėje mokykloje. Sukurta ir atlikta integruota pamoka 9 klasei, jos rezultatai bei mokinių refleksija atskleidžia tokio mokymo suteikiamas galimybes

Get PDFThe article presents several observations about the examination papers of the state-level Maturity Examinations in Mathematics in the years 2014–2021 in Lithuania. Some inaccuracies were observed in the appendix of the paper titled ``Mathematical formulas\u27\u27, in the wordings of the problems. Also the issue of proof problems in the examination is discussed. The purpose of these observations is to draw attention to areas for improvement in the examination system. The article presents the subjective opinion of the authors.Straipsnyje pateikiami keli pastebėjimai apie 2014–2021 m. matematikos valstybinių brandos egzaminų (VBE) užduotis. Pastebėti netikslumai egzamino užduoties priede ,,Matematikos formulės``, uždavinių formuluotėse, aptariamas egzamine esančių įrodymo uždavinių klausimas. Get PDFThis paper presents an investigation of modeling and solving of differential equations in the study of mechanical systems with holonomic constraints. The 2D and 3D mathematical models of constrained motion are made. The structure of the models consists of nonlinear first or second order differential equations. Cases of free movement and movement with resistance are investigated. Solutions of the Cauchy problem of obtained differential equations were obtained by Runge–Kutta method.Sudaryti judėjimo su apribojimais (judėjimo glodžia kreive) 2D ir 3D matematiniai modeliai. Modelių struktūrą sudaro netiesinės pirmos arba antros eilės diferencialinės lygtys. Ištiri laisvo judėjimo ir judėjimo su pasipriešinimu atvejai. Skaitiniais metodais gauti diferencialinių lygčių Koši uždavinio sprendiniai. Get PDFThis research suggests a maxmin model for the selection of investment portfolios. The risk evaluation coefficients are introduced. The components of portfolio are found by solving linear programming task in onemodel and non-linear programming task in the other. In the experimental part of the research ineffective portfolios exerted from these models are tested referring to the statistical data of the Baltic stock market. Realizations of the suggested portfolios with different risk coefficient values are compared to realizations of effective (Pareto optimal) portfolios.Darbe siūlomas maksimino principas investiciniams portfeliams parinkti. Portfelio komponentės surandamos sprendžiant tiesinio programavimo uždavinį viename modelyje ir netiesinio programavimo uždavinį kitame, įvedus rizikos vertinimo koeficientus. Eksperimentinėje dalyje šių modelių pagalba gauti neefektyvūs portfeliai testuojami remiantis Pabaltijo akcijų biržos statistiniais duomenimis. Įvairioms rizikos koeficientų reikšmėms pasiūlytųjų portfelių realizacijos lyginamos su efektyviųjų (Pareto optimalių) portfelių realizacijomis
