No full textΗ ποιοτική έρευνα αποτελεί όχι μόνο μια ερευνητική μεθοδολογία που η χρήση της διαρκώς αποκτά όλο και μεγαλύτερη σπουδαιότητα, αλλά και μια μεθοδολογία που είναι ιδιαίτερα σχετική με τη νοσηλευτική πράξη και χρήσιμη για τη διερεύνηση και διεύρυνση της νοσηλευτικής γνώσης. Ωστόσο, υπάρχει μια σχετική συγγραφική ένδεια στην ελληνική νοσηλευτική βιβλιογραφία για τους τρόπους διεξαγωγής και αξιολόγησης της ποιοτικής μεθοδολογίας. Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας ήταν η ανασκόπηση των χαρακτηριστικών της ποιοτικής μεθοδολογίας και η δημιουργία ενός μοντέλου από σαφή βήματα για τη διεξαγωγή και αξιολόγηση της ποιοτικής έρευνας. Η μέθοδος συλλογής του υλικού, που χρησιμοποιήθηκε για τη διερεύνηση της παρούσας εργασίας, ήταν η ευρεία βιβλιογραφική αναζήτηση με τη χρήση των ηλεκτρονικών βάσεων δεδομένων ovid, CINAHL και medline, και με τη χειροδιαλογή βιβλίων σχετικών με το θέμα. Τα χαρακτηριστικά της ποιοτικής έρευνας είναι η κατανόηση και η ερμηνεία των εμπειριών και πεποιθήσεων των συμμετεχόντων στην έρευνα. Για να επιτευχθούν αυτοί οι στόχοι, ο ερευνητής χρειάζεται να ακολουθήσει τα ακόλουθα έξι βήματα: (α) καθορισμός του αντιληπτικού περιγράμματος, (β) σχηματισμός της ερευνητικής ερώτησης, {γ) ορισμός του δείγματος, (δ) αποσαφήνιση της μεθόδου συγκέντρωσης των δεδομένων, (ε) παρουσίαση της μεθόδου ανάλυσης των δεδομένων και (στ) συγκεκριμενοποίηση του τρόπου παρουσίασης και συγγραφής. Τα έξι αυτά βήματα στο παρόν μοντέλο διεξαγωγής και αξιολόγησης της ποιοτικής έρευνας έχουν μια λογική διάρθρωση, συγκεκριμένο χαρακτήρα και ορισμένη μορφή, ώστε να εξυπηρετούνται και να επιτυγχάνονται οι σκοποί της ποιοτικής έρευνας.Qualitative research is not only a research methodology that its’ utilisation has acquired an unabated eminence, but it is also a methodology that is very relevant to nursing practice and useful for the research and development of nursing knowledge. Nevertheless, there is a relevant writing deprivation in the Greek nursing literature with regards the conduct and evaluation of qualitative methodologies. The aim of this article was the review of the characteristics of qualitative methodologies and the development of a model of explicit steps for the conduct and evaluation of qualitative research. The method of data collection used to research the current article was a broad literature search using the computerised databases ovid, CINAHL and medline, and searching of relevant books by hand. The characteristics of qualitative research are the understanding and the interpretation of the research participants’ experiences and perceptions. For this to be achieved the following six steps need to be followed: (a) define the conceptual framework, (b) outline of the research question, (c) specify the sample, (d) explicate the data collecting method, (e) presentation of the data analysis methods and (f) detail the presentational and writing style. No full textΗ ραγδαία εξέλιξη και ανάπτυξη των τηλεπικοινωνιών, κυρίως από το 1980 και μετά, οδήγησε στην ανάγκη εφαρμογής σημαντικών διαρθρωτικών αλλαγών. Οι αυξανόμενες απαιτήσεις των πελατών για υψηλότερη ποιότητα των ήδη παρεχόμενων υπηρεσιών, για παροχή νέων υπηρεσιών, καθώς
και για χαμηλότερες τιμές από τη μία πλευρά και οι σημαντικές
τεχνολογικές εξελίξεις από την άλλη δεν μπορούσαν να ικανοποιηθούν από τους δυσκίνητους γραφειοκρατικούς κρατικούς οργανισμούς με την περιορισμένη τεχνογνωσία, που κυριαρχούσαν σχεδόν σ’ όλες τις χώρες για πολλές δεκαετίες.
Έτσι, παγκοσμίως εφαρμόστηκαν πολιτικές που οδήγησε στην
μεταρρύθμιση του τηλεπικοινωνιακού τομέα

Human capital as a factor of economic growth
No full textEconomic growth is known as a worldwide discussed question and the
development as well; a global policy objective that dates from 1940s. On
the whole it's a long tirne that all countries make great efforts to determine
some and possibly all factors which lead to sustainable growth and
economic development.
Human capital as a factor of economic growth is identified not only as
a major factor but also a suitable remedy to alleviate the poverty in the
world.
Health care and qualified education lead to economic growth and are
centered on the development of human capital. Indeed, the advent of
"endogenous growth models" with human capital (providing externalities)
have certainly enhanced the understanding of the mysteries of rapid and
long sustainable high growth performances of East Asian economies.

Cities' economic development and regional competitiveness: Τhe case of Larissa-Volos dipole in Thessaly region
No full textThe article investigates the relationbetween cities' economic development
(local level) and regions' competitiveness (regional level), in the Larissa-Volos
dipole in the region of Thessaly. During the last decade almost
seventy non-local enterprises have established new plants or expanded their
business activities to Thessaly region and especially in its eastern part,
between the cities of Larissa and Volos. The first issue under consideration
concerns the reasons for this agglomeration. The second issue concerns the
contribution of enterprises to the cities' development and to the region's
competitiveness. The third issue concerns enterprises' decision analysis
process to establish business activities in Thessaly region and the role of
place marketing policies supporting this decision. The article provides
suggestions and particular development strategies for the strengthening of
the competitiveness of Thessaly region through the economic development
of the Larissa-Volos dipole.Το άρθρο διερευνά τη σχέση μεταξύ της οικονομικής ανάπτυξης των
πόλεων (τοπικό επίπεδο) και της ανταγωνιστικότητας των περιφερειών
(περιφερειακό επίπεδο), στο δίπολο Λάρισας-Βόλου της περιφέρειας
Θεσσαλίας. Κατά τη διάρκεια της τελευταίας δεκαετίας περίπου εβδομήντα
μη τοπικές επιχειρήσεις δραστηριοποιήθηκαν στην περιφέρεια Θεσσαλίας
και ιδιαίτερα στο ανατολικό τμήμα της, μεταξύ των πόλεων της Λάρισας
και του Βόλου. Το πρώτο ζήτημα υπό διερεύνηση αφορά τους λόγους
αυτής της συγκέντρωσης. Το δεύτερο ζήτημα αφορά τη συνεισφορά
αυτών των επιχειρήσεων στην οικονομική ανάπτυξη των δύο πόλεων και
στην ανταγωνιστικότητα της περιφέρειας. Το τρίτο ζήτημα αφορά τη διαδικασία
λήψης απόφασης από μέρους των επιχειρήσεων αναφορικά με
την ίδρυση νέων εγκαταστάσεων και τον υποστηρικτικό ρόλο των πολιτικών

Should the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) develop special financial reporting standards for SMEs?
No full textThe aim of this study is to investigate the respondents' opinion
according to the discussion paper on the lASB's preliminary views,
regarding the global SME standards in many countries. For the analysis
of the IASB questionnaire we used the method of correspondence
analysis. We examined the positive or negative opinions of 120 comment
letters from all over the world, having classified them to the geographical
areas of respondents. We found out that respondents from Asia mainly
express negative opinions regarding to the basic approach on developing
global standards for SME. On the other hand we found out the
respondents from Africa, Oceania and North America were mainly
expressing positive opinions to the IASB project. Nevertheless, the
respondents from Europe expressed a mixed opinion.Ο σκοπός αυτής της μελέτης είναι να ερευνηθεί η γνώμη των ερωτηθέντων του δείγματος όσον αφορά τις προκαταρκτικές απόψεις του
IASB για την καθιέρωση Διεθνών Λογιστικών Προτύπων (ΔΛΠ ) σε
ΜΜΕ παγκοσμίως. Για την ανάλυση του ερωτηματολογίου του IASB
χρησιμοποιήθηκε η μέθοδος της παραγοντικής ανάλυσης των αντιστοιχιών
. Ερευνήθηκαν οι θετικές ή αρνητικές απόψεις των 120 απαντητικών
επιστολών από όλο τον κόσμο και οι οποίες είχαν ταξινομηθεί κατά
γεωγραφική περιοχή από όπου προήλθαν. Διαπιστώθηκε ότι η Ασία
κυρίως εξέφρασε αρνητικές απόψεις για την καθιέρωση ΔΛΠ σε
ΜΜΕ. Αντίθετα θετικές απόψεις εκφράσθηκαν από την Αφρική , την
Ωκεανία και την Βόρεια Αμερική όσον αφορά τις προκαταρκτικές
απόψεις του IASB. Τέλος οι απόψεις στην Ευρώπη ήταν μικτές
Sensor enabled rule based alarm system for the agricultural industry
