Cahoots.
"The Artful Dodgers Studios have been responsible for staging one of the more interesting art exhibitions for the year. Recently, emerging young artists from the Studios teamed up with established artists in mentoring partnerships, to exchange ideas about art, collaborate and create new works for the 'Cahoots' exhibition, which was opened recently at the Yarra Sculpture Gallery in Abbotsford. The exhibition was created as part of the 2011 Rudder Visual Arts Mentoring Program run by the Artful Dodgers Studios, a program of Jesuit Social Services supporting young people who may have experienced various forms of disadvantage."--Website.

Donna Marcus, Slip
Published to accompany the exhibition held at Dianne Tanzer Gallery + Projects, Fitzroy, Vic., 3 March to 26 April 2011."Slip is the first extensive exhibition of ceramic work that Donna Marcus has been developing for past two years. Slip is a reference to the slip casting process but also idea of slippage between the kitchen, bathroom and laboratory in the materials and aesthetics of these pieces. Glazed in the colours of old bathrooms; black, pink, buttery yellow, white and green, they continue Marcus’ interest in the strong links between memory and colour in the blurring and overlap between the domestic and industrial aesthetic."--Website.Artist: Donna Marcus

A way of calling
"Edition 1000"--Verso cover.
"A way of calling highlights six practices that evoke, activate or engage mysterious forces, energies or sensations. Spanning a range of media the artworks featured in this exhibition each register inexplicable dynamisms that animate and extend our lifeworld. Lurking on the peripheries of consciousness elusive forces threaten our desire for control and self consciousness while also offering possiblities for mystery and liberation"--Website.
