Energy requirements for cooking account for 36% of total primary energy consumption in India. The rural and urban population, depend mainly, on non-commercial fuels to meet their energy needs. But, Solar cooking acceptance has been limited partially due to some barriers. Solar cooker cannot cook the food in late evening. This drawback can be overcome by providing a heat storage unit for a solar cooker. So that food can be cooked in the absence of the sunlight
