Du prix « juste » à la valeur « durable » : complémentarité des approches dans la relation « prix-demande »
No full textMy research aims to study the complex role of price mechanisms in exchange and the current issues that arise from it for marketing, for companies. It is built on the basis of work that analyzes the character of “acceptable” and “fair” in connection with value judgments (Axis 1). It then analyzes the mirror effect of the role of price in supply-side exchange, pricing strategies, their formulation and the resulting value judgments. Finally, identifying and understanding the alignment between the creation of value, the positioning and the representations of buyers but also of stakeholders in the process of creating new solutions means responding to current societal challenges, such as sustainability, economic crisis (Axis 2). My approach consists in carrying out different types of studies and surveys (qualitative and quantitative) to contribute to a better understanding of the behavior and decisions of buyers in terms of offers and their pricing.Ma recherche vise à étudier le rôle complexe des mécanismes du prix dans l’échange et les enjeux actuels qui en découlent pour le marketing, les entreprises. Elle se construit sur la base des travaux qui analysent le caractère de « justesse » puis de « justice » en lien avec les jugements de valeur (Axe 1). Elle analyse dans un deuxième temps l’effet miroir du rôle du prix dans l’échange du côté de l’offre, les stratégies de prix, leur formulation et les jugements de valeur qui en découlent. Enfin, identifier et comprendre l’alignement entre la création de valeur, le positionnement et les représentations des acheteurs mais aussi des parties prenantes au processus de création des nouvelles solutions, c’est répondre aux enjeux sociétaux actuels, tels que la crise économique, le développement durable (Axe 2). Correlates of the Entrepreneurs' Business Success in Ilocos Norte, Philippines
No full textInternational audienceThe purpose of this study was to explore the correlation between the psychological and psychosocial profiles of entrepreneurs and their business success. To establish the theoretical framework and concepts for the study, a thorough literature review was conducted. The study was undertaken in Ilocos Norte and the population included business entrepreneurs in the region. Data were collected using questionnaires, and statistical analyses including weighted mean and Pearson's correlation coefficient were employed to analyze the data. The results indicated a significant correlation between the psychological and psychosocial profiles of entrepreneurs and their level of business success

Mechanical phenotyping of cells flowing through microfluidic constrictions
No full textNational audienceIt is now well recognized that mechanical signature of cells can give information on their physio-pathological state. Here, we will illustrate this concept by two different microsystems able to provide the mechanical phenotype of human cells.First, we know that the membrane of healthy Red Blood Cells (RBCs) possesses a unique structure responsible of their remarkable ability to deform to go through the small capillaries of the microcirculation. However, various diseases such as malaria [1], Sickle Cell Anemia [2] (SCA) or Hereditary Spherositosis [3] (HS) are associated with impairment of this deformability. We propose to evaluate the possibility to identified mechanically impaired RBCs through their dynamical behaviour when flowing out a microfluidic constriction, hence providing a new type of diagnostic tool based on mechanical phenotyping of cells. We also addressed the mechanics of more complex cells such as nucleated ones. In Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells, the abnormal proliferation of leukemia cells build up in the bone marrow and blood and interfere with normal blood cell production due to their inability to differentiate into mature cells. Recent findings - highlighting an increase of the mechanosensitive pathways in AML relapsed patients [4] - tend to imply a strong interconnection between the cell’s mechanical properties and their ability to survive chemotherapy. We propose to use a passive microfluidic approach [5], quantifying the additional hydrodynamic resistance to the one of the geometric constriction in which they flow, to evaluate the possibility to predict the outcome of a therapeutic treatment using the mechanical signature of AML cell lines. This approach could be the first step towards the development of a new system for personalized medicine

Afrique-Maroc : un brassage démographique imminent
No full textInternational audienceOur planet Earth will reach ten billion people in the next six decades, of which nearly four out of ten will be African. These perspectives, which are based on significant trends that have been developing over the centuries, are imminent and will be realized, regardless of the different data that our planet will experience. It is therefore important, and even urgent, to reflect on the consequences of these perspectives. The authors follow these perspectives and suggest a series of reflections on future migration movements that will concern Africa and Morocco in particular. This paper provides the groundwork for this reflection, based on the theory of optimal population, which will be developed in a series of papers that address this important issue.Analysis of the optimal population theory in the Moroccan context shows that the country has a significant number of residents that exceeds the productive capacity of any individual while maintaining a decent standard of living. Thus, the imminent mass arrival of sub-Saharan migrants, as well as refugees, may not contribute fully to the country's development and may lead to multiple social, economic, cultural and environmental problems. However, if the leaders of the origin and host countries take the necessary measures for a controlled and regulated immigration, these migrants can constitute a considerable human resource.Notre planète Terre atteindra au cours des six décennies à venir les dix Milliards d’âmes dont près de quatre personnes sur dix seront africains. Ces perspectives, relevant des tendances lourdes qui évoluent sur des siècles, sont imminentes et se réaliseront quelles que soient les différentes données que connaitra notre planète. Il est alors important, voire urgent de procéder à une réflexion sur les implications de ces perspectives. Les auteurs s’inscrivent dans ces perspectives et proposent de mener une série de réflexions sur les futurs mouvements migratoires qui intéresseront en particulier l’Afrique et le Maroc. Le présent article pose les jalons de cette réflexion qui sera développée dans une série d’articles qui traitent de cette importante problématique. L’analyse de la théorie de la population optimale dans le contexte marocain montre que le pays compte un nombre important d’habitants qui dépasse la capacité porteuse de tout individu en gardant un niveau de vie décent. Ainsi, l’arrivée massive et imminente des migrants subsahariens, en plus des réfugiés, pourrait ne pas contribuer totalement au développement du pays et posera de multiples problèmes d’ordre social, économique, culturel et environnemental. Toutefois, si les responsables des pays d’origine et d’accueil prennent les mesures nécessaires pour une immigration contrôlée et maitrisée, ces migrants peuvent constituer une richesse humaine considérable

Potential of hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon-germanium for low thermal budget near infrared sensors
No full textInternational audienceMicrocrystalline Silicon-Germanium (µc-SiGe:H) is a low bandgap material whose optical and electrical properties strongly depend on deposition conditions. In this work, an above integrated circuit (above-IC) [1]-[3] compatible, near infrared (NIR) sensor based on microcrystalline Silicon-Germanium is produced and characterized. The N-I-P photodiode is obtained by radio frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (RF-PECVD) from a SiH4 + GeH4 + H2 gas mixture. Quantum efficiency measurements reveals a 60 at.% Ge fraction is optimal for a 200 nm thick µc-SiGe:H intrinsic absorber layer. Above this threshold, the degradation in electrical properties prevails on the gain in absorption
