OSTEOLOŠKA ANALIZA ARHEOLOŠKOG LOKALITETA ŠOPOT – BENKOVAC
No full textThis paper analyzes skeletal remains from the site Šopot - Benkovac dated to the 14th to the 16th century. Anthropological
and craniometric analyses, as well as mitochondrial DNA analyzes have been previously performed. In this paper, the authors specifically analyze demographic structure, life quality markers, craniometric markers, DNA profiles, all in the light of the location of graves within the cemetery and concerning the difference in burial rituals. The results of the analysis showed that there is no difference between the population buried on this site and the other medieval Croatian populations from the same geographic area in any of the observed biologically significant markers.U radu se analiziraju koštani ostaci populacije s nalazišta Šopot – Benkovac datiranoga u 14. – 16. st. Prethodno su provedene antropološke i kraniometrijske analize kao i analize mitohondrijskoga DNK-a. U ovom se radu autori posebno osvrću na demografsku strukturu, pokazatelje kvalitete života, kraniometrijske značajke populacije i rezultate analize DNK-a, a sve u svjetlu položaja pokojnika unutar groblja i u odnosu na razliku u ritualima pokapanja. Rezultati analize pokazali su da nema razlika između populacije s ovoga nalazišta i ostalih starohrvatskih populacija u nijednoj od promatranih bioloških značajki populacije
