Abstract
This document contains the chassis design for an autonomous electric vehicle. First, a fatigue failure analysis should be done to the underside of the chassis under fluctuating loads. Subsequently, the methodology of the shell technique or plate technique is applied to make the structural analysis by finite elements of the complete structure. The results show a satisfactory design that meets all the criteria used. © 2020 IEEE
Conocimientos y mitos de profesores colombianos sobre las altas capacidades intelectuales
The objective of this study was to describe the knowledge and myths among Colombian teachers regarding students with High Intellectual Abilities (HIA), analyzing their relationship with sociodemographic variables of interest. A non-experimental, descriptive-correlational cross-sectional methodology was used. 584 pre-school, basic and secondary education teachers from 160 municipalities were selected through non-probabilistic sampling for participation and completed the HIA Knowledge and Myths Questionnaire. The general percentage of correct answers in the questionnaire was low and there were high levels of false beliefs primarily related to the nature of giftedness, the academic performance and achievements of these students and suitable educational interventions for this population. A relationship was found between false beliefs about HIA and the sex of participants. These results highlight the need to improve HIA training in teacher preparation. © 2022 by the authors
Perfil del docente inclusivo de básica primaria: Orientado a la transformación del proceso formativo en las instituciones educativas oficiales del distrito de Cartagena-Colombia
The main objective of this study is to profile inclusive primary school teachers at educational institutions in the District of Cartagena, Colombia. The sample consists of 91 teachers from six public primary schools. This is a mixed design study supported by both quantitative and qualitative approaches. An ad hoc questionnaire is used to survey teachers and an orientation questionnaire guide is used to survey focus groups of teachers and professionals that support students with disabilities or with exceptional talents. The results show that the new profile of inclusive teachers includes training and competency variables and the following disciplinary learning approaches: Pedagogical-didactic, psych-pedagogical, neuro-psych pedagogical, and psychiatry. It is concluded that inclusive teachers transform training processes through knowledge applied to particular situations with their students, which is accompanied by humanistic and coexistence skills. This guarantees the placement of students with and without disabilities in a regular classroom, without inferring their academic performances, and guarantees the generation of social benefits for all students.El objetivo del presente estudio es definir el perfil del docente inclusivo de básica primaria de instituciones educativas del Distrito de Cartagena, Colombia. Participaron 91 docentes pertenecientes a seis escuelas oficiales. El estudio tiene un diseño mixto soportado por los enfoques cuantitativo y cualitativo. Se aplica un cuestionario ad hoc a docentes y una guía orientadora de preguntas a grupos focales de docentes y profesionales de apoyo especializado en estudiantes con discapacidades o talentos excepcionales. Los resultados muestran que el nuevo perfil del docente inclusivo considera las variables de formación y competencias y los enfoques disciplinares pedagógicos-didácticos, psicopedagógicos, neuro-psicopedagógicos y de la psiquiatría para el aprendizaje. Se concluye que el docente inclusivo transforma el proceso formativo mediante el conocimiento aplicado en situaciones propias, acompañado de habilidades humanísticas y de convivencia. Esto garantiza la ubicación de estudiantes con y sin discapacidad en aulas regulares de clases, sin inferir su rendimiento académico y generando beneficios sociales en la totalidad de los estudiantes

A systematic review to determine the role of public space and urban design on sense of community
The aim of this research is to determine the effect that the
physical characteristics of public spaces and their perceived
quality have on residents’ sense of community (SoC). A sys tematic review was carried out following the protocol of the
PRISMA guidelines; a systematic search was conducted in
the Web of Science Core Collection, resulting in the retrieval
of 637 records. After several screenings, 23 studies were
identified. The results suggest that the perceived quality of
public spaces exerts positive effects, but of moderate inten sity, on SoC (range = 0.13–0.4, Mβ = 0.24, SD = 0.1), as
does the possibility of walking to public spaces within the
neighbourhood (range = 0.02–0.57; Mβ = 0.22; SD = 0.21).
The results indicate that designing public spaces that facilitate
social interaction is the main factor for enhancing SoC. The
main findings of this review justify the design of public spaces
and built environments that favour interpersonal relationships
between residents, serve as contexts for socialization and
community participation and can be used to celebrate cultural
and recreational events for promoting social capital in urban

The DESI Survey Validation: Results from Visual Inspection of Bright Galaxies, Luminous Red Galaxies, and Emission-line Galaxies
The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) Survey has obtained a set of spectroscopic measurements of galaxies
to validate the final survey design and target selections. To assist in these tasks, we visually inspect DESI spectra of
approximately 2500 bright galaxies, 3500 luminous red galaxies (LRGs), and 10,000 emission-line galaxies (ELGs) to
obtain robust redshift identifications. We then utilize the visually inspected redshift information to characterize the
performance of the DESI operation. Based on the visual inspection (VI) catalogs, our results show that the final survey
design yields samples of bright galaxies, LRGs, and ELGs with purity greater than 99%. Moreover, we demonstrate that
the precision of the redshift measurements is approximately 10 km s−1 for bright galaxies and ELGs and approximately
40 km s−1 for LRGs. The average redshift accuracy is within 10 km s−1 for the three types of galaxies. The VI process
also helps improve the quality of the DESI data by identifying spurious spectral features introduced by the pipeline.
Finally, we show examples of unexpected real astronomical objects, such as Lyα emitters and strong lensing candidates,
identified by VI. These results demonstrate the importance and utility of visually inspecting data from incoming and
upcoming surveys, especially during their early operation phases
Análisis de la relación entre la conducta de bullying y las funciones ejecutivas en niños y adolescentes escolarizados
Though significant associations are known to exist between Executive Functions (EFs) and aggression, the role of EFs in the context of bullying has rarely been examined in populations of the Caribbean Region of Colombia. This study aims to analyze the relationship between school bullying and the EFs of children and adolescents residing in the Colombian city of Cartagena. The sample was conformed by 181 students from three schools who were evaluated using the abbreviated scale of the School Bullying Questionnaire and the Behavioral Evaluation of Executive Functions BRIEF – 2. The results showed association between various subfactors of the two instruments, which may be clinical indicators of executive dysfunction, mainly in the components of behavioral and emotional regulation, which would be associated with higher levels of school intimidation and symptoms related with bullying. The educational implications of these findings are discussed. © 2021, Universidad Compultense Madrid. All rights reserved

Abstract
The time of concentration is the time it takes a drop of water in a basin to travel from the most distant point to the outlet, and is one of the most important parameters, along with the morphometric characteristics, for determining the design flow rate in rainfall-runoff models. This study aims to determine the sensitivity of the parameters included in different equations for the calculation of the time of concentration. A case study was conducted on small, urbanized watersheds in the city of Montería, Colombia. The study uses information obtained through field work using GPS equipment and electronic total station, supplemented by geographic information contained in the city drawings of the local sewage company, which includes data on elevations above sea level with sub-metric precision. The time of concentration determined by the 12 empirical equations was compared to the results obtained from the equation proposed by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), which was considered as a baseline formulation for the intricacy of calculation. Based on this comparison, it was found that the Carter equation is the one that best fits the results obtained from the NRCS equation because it displayed highly significant goodness of fit values. Even though the equations by Kirpich, Ventura, California Culvert Practice, Simas-Hawkins and TxDOT provide a relatively good fit compared to other empirical equations, they tend to over-estimate time of concentration values, which could lead to the under-estimation of the design flow rates. For this reason, sensitivity analysis of the parameters of these equations represents an alternative for improving the calculation of the time of concentration. The current research analyses deepen the influence of some parameters in the estimation of time of concentration. The research can also be used by designers and engineers in the city of Montería, Colombia, as an important reference to compute time of concentrations in urbanized watersheds
Bibliometric Analysis of Global Trends around Hydrogen Production Based on the Scopus Database in the Period 2011–2021
Given the increase in population and energy demand worldwide, alternative methods have been adopted for the production of hydrogen as a clean energy source. This energy offers an alternative energy source due to its high energy content, and without emissions to the environment. In this bibliometric analysis of energy production using electrolysis and taking into account the different forms of energy production. In this analysis, it was possible to evaluate the research trends based on the literature in the Scopus database during the years 2011–2021. The results showed a growing interest in hydrogen production from electrolysis and other mechanisms, with China being the country with the highest number of publications and the United States TOP in citations. The trend shows that during the first four years of this study (2011–2014), the average number of publications was 74 articles per year, from 2015 to 2021 where the growth is an average of 209 articles, the journal that published the most on this topic is Applied Energy, followed by Energy, contributing with almost 33% in the research area. Lastly, the keyword analysis identified six important research points for future discussions, which we have termed clusters. The study concludes that new perspectives on clean hydrogen energy generation, environmental impacts, and social acceptance could contribute to the positive evolution of the hydrogen energy industry. © 2022 by the authors
Efficient PID Control Design for Frequency Regulation in an Independent Microgrid Based on the Hybrid PSO-GSA Algorithm
Microgrids are a part of the power system that consists of one or more units of distributed generation and are expected to remain in operation after being disconnected from the system. Since they rely on overlying networks, frequency control is very important for network-independent operation. Some of the most common problems in independently operating microgrids are frequency sustainability and its fluctuations. The main purpose of this study is to control the frequency of a microgrid in island mode in different scenarios. The objective function is defined based on time and changes in the system frequency. Thus, the variable parameters of the PID controller are transformed into an optimization problem and are solved through the hybrid PSO-GSA algorithm. The study considers four scenarios: (a) a microgrid dynamic model and optimal PID controller coefficients; (b) variable velocity disturbance applied to the studied system in order to observe power changes and the microgrid frequency; (c) stepped load changes applied to the studied system; and (d) the proposed methods on the standard test function. Simulations under different operating conditions are performed, indicating improvements in the stability of microgrid frequency fluctuations by means of the proposed control method. © 2022 by the authors
