    (R1509) TOPSIS and VIKOR Methods for Spherical Fuzzy Soft Set Aggregating Operator Framework

    The Spherical Fuzzy Soft (SFS) set is a generalization of the Pythagorean fuzzy soft set and the intuitionistic fuzzy soft set. We introduce the concept of aggregating SFS decision matrices based on aggregated operations. The techniques for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) and viekriterijumsko kompromisno rangiranje (VIKOR) for the SFS approaches are the strong points of multi criteria group decision making (MCGDM), which is various extensions of fuzzy soft sets. We define a score function based on aggregating TOPSIS and VIKOR methods to the SFS-positive and SFS-negative ideal solutions. The TOPSIS and VIKOR methods provide decision-making weights. To find the optimal alternative under this condition, closeness is introduced. Also, we obtain an algorithm that deals with the MCGDM problems based on an aggregating operator. Finally, a numerical example of the MCGDM problem is given to verify the practicality of the aggregating operators

    Two-dimensional finite quantum Hall clusters of electrons with anisotropic features

    Low-dimensional nano and two-dimensional materials are of great interest to many disciplines and may have a lot of applications in fields such as electronics, optoelectronics, and photonics. One can create quantum Hall phases by applying a strong magnetic field perpendicular to a two-dimensional electron system. One characterizes the nature of the system by looking at magneto-transport data. There have been a few quantum phases seen in past experiments on GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructures that manifest anisotropic magnetoresistance, typically, in high Landau levels. In this work, we model the source of anisotropy as originating from an internal anisotropic interaction between electrons. We use this framework to study the possible anisotropic behavior of finite clusters of electrons at filling factor 1/6 of the lowest Landau level

    Detailed Study of an Ultra-Small Pauli Crystal

    Particular geometric arrangements, called Pauli crystals, have been conjectured to exist in a two-dimensional system of free fermions under harmonic confinement. The fermions are neutral fermionic atoms with frozen spins. The question whether such crystalline structures do really exist is open for discussion. We adopted an effective statistical interaction potential approach to study such structures in the past, but without conducting a detailed analysis of their stability. In this work, we point out the fact that the smallest Pauli crystal that contains three fermions can be studied exactly within the framework of our approach. This means that we can predict the structure, size and geometry at any temperature where the Pauli crystal, presumably, emerges. Our results for three fermions appear to be in good quantitative agreement with the reported values of Pauli crystals seen in single-shot imaging data at a specific temperature. However, it is remarked that the size of the crystal is temperature-dependent in our approach. This feature seems to have gone unobserved and/or unnoticed in earlier work

    Treatment Of Poultry Slaughterhouse Wastewater With Membrane Technologies

    To address some challenges of food security and sustainability of the poultry processing industry, a sequential membrane process (UF-FO-RO) is proposed to treat semi-processed slaughterhouse wastewater and recover the water. The pretreatment of PSWW with UF removed 36.7% of chemical oxygen demand (COD), 38.9% of total phosphorous (TP), 24.7% of total solids (TS), 14.5% of total volatile solids (TVS), 27.3% of total fixed solids (TFS) and 12.1% of total nitrogen (TN). The flux of the UF membrane was successfully restored to 94% after 1st wash and 87% after 2nd wash by cleaning the UF membrane with 0.1% sodium hydroxide solution and 0.2% phosphoric acid. Then, the PSWW was treated with FO membrane in FO mode, pressure retarded osmosis (PRO) mode, and L-DOPA coated membrane in the PRO mode. All these modes achieved complete removal of COD and TP. However, the FO mode showed the highest pollutant removal efficiency; 90.5% of TS, 85.3% of TVS, 92.1% of TFS, and 37.2% of TN. The FO mode also achieved the highest average flux 10.4±0.2 L/m2-h. The performance of the FO membrane was entirely restored by flushing the membrane with 0.1% sodium dodecyl sulfate solution, proving that the membrane fouling presented in the FO process was reversible. Since the FO mode showed the highest removal efficiency of pollutants and highest average flux, the FO mode was optimal for treating PSWW. The FO mode permeate was further treated by RO membrane to separate the filtrate from the draw solution and purify the PSWW for reusing it in the poultry industry. The RO significantly removed the COD, TS, iv TVS, TFS, and TP. However, the TN was reduced by only 62% because of the high ammonia concentration present in the draw solution. Overall, the sequential membrane process (UF-FO-RO) showed excellent performance by providing high rejection efficiency for pollutant removal and water recovery. The process removed most of the pollutants from PSWW and produced water that could be reused for industrial poultry processing purposes

In spite of the name, it is not a true drum but an idiophone, usually carved or constructed from bamboo or wood into a box with one or more slits in the top.
