(SI10-063) Number of Automorphisms of Some Non-Abelian p-Groups of Order p^4
The automorphism of a group is a way of mapping the object to itself while preserving all of its structure, and the set of automorphisms of an object forms a group called the automorphism group. It is simply a bijective homomorphism. One of the earliest group automorphism was given by Irish mathematician William Rowan Hamilton in 1856, in his icosian calculus where he discovered an order two automorphism. In this paper, we compute the automorphisms of some non-Abelian groups of order p4, where p is an odd prime and GAP (Group Algorithm Programming) software has been used for the verification of number of automorphisms. We use Burnside’s categorization for the classification of all non-isomorphic groups of order p4. There are fifteen groups of order p4, out of which five are Abelian and the rest are non-Abelian. The automorphisms of all five Abelian groups are already computed by researchers. We find out the automorphisms by using the structure description of group and elementary calculations. By assuming any arbitrary automorphisms, we find out the constraints for group automorphism by using these results and the property of automorphisms. This research work is good in nature and helpful in the further studies of algebra

The Role Of Social Bonds, Self-Control, And Specific Interventions On Outcomes For Serious Juvenile Offenders
Hirschi’s (2008) Social Control theory posits that the strength or weakness of social bonds (i.e., attachment, commitment, involvement, and belief) may impact the likelihood of offending. Youth who enter the juvenile justice system often have weakened social bonds to family, school, peers, and the community, which may contribute to a higher likelihood of offending, future involvement in the juvenile justice system, and other negative outcomes. The current study examined the impact of social bonds, self-control, and specific interventions on offending among a sample of serious juvenile offenders from the Research on Pathways to Desistance dataset. This longitudinal dataset includes a sample of 1,354 serious juvenile offenders responsible for serious offenses. A series of negative binomial regressions were conducted to assess the impact of race, gender, social support, involvement in community activities, motivation to succeed, moral disengagement, impulse control, individual community services, in-home counseling for youth/family, and school services on offending. Results indicate a significant impact of race, gender, involvement in community activities, motivation to succeed, moral disengagement, impulse control, individual community services, and school services. Results regarding receipt of community services provided partial support for the study hypotheses. They indicated that further research is needed to examine community-based services’ impact on offending for juvenile offenders, especially the contribution that specific interventions have in strengthening social bonds, improving self-control, and decreasing the likelihood of offending behavior. These results will help inform community-based services in strengthening social bonds, improving self-control, and decreasing the likelihood of offending behavior
Investigating the quality of HIV rapid testing practices in public antenatal health care facilities, South Africa
Monitoring HIV prevalence using antenatal HIV sentinel surveillance is important for efficient epidemic tracking, programme planning and resource allocation. HIV sentinel surveillance usually employs unlinked anonymous HIV testing which raises ethical, epidemiological and public health challenges in the current era of universal test and treat. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that countries should consider using routine prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT) data for surveillance. We audited antenatal care clinics to assess the quality of HIV rapid testing practices as the first step to assess whether South Africa is ready to utilize PMTCT programme data for antenatal HIV surveillance. In 2017, we conducted a cross-sectional survey in 360 randomly sampled antenatal care clinics using the adapted WHO Stepwise-Process-for-Improving-the-Quality-of-HIV-Rapid-Testing (SPI-RT) checklist. We calculated median percentage scores within a domain (domain-specific median score), and across all domains (overall median percentage scores). The latter was used to classify sites according to five implementation levels; (from 0:\u3c40% to 4: 90% or higher). Of 346 (96.1%) facilities assessed, an overall median percentage score of 62.1% (inter-quartile range (IQR): 50.8–71.9%) was obtained. The lowest domain-specific median percentage scores were obtained under training/certification (35% IQR: 10.0–50.0%) and external quality assurance (12.5% IQR: 0.0–50.0%), respectively. The majority (89%) of sites had an overall median score at level 2 or below; of these, 37% required improvement in specific areas and 6.4% in all areas. Facilities in districts implementing the HIV Rapid Test Quality Improvement Initiative and supported by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) had significantly higher median overall scores (65.6% IQR: 53.9–74.2%) (P-value from rank sum test: \u3c0.001) compared with non–PEP-FAR–supported facilities (56.6% IQR:47.7–66.0%). We found sub-optimal implementation of HIV rapid testing practices. We recommend the expansion of the PEPFAR-funded Rapid Test Continuous Quality Improvement (RTCQI) support to all antenatal care testing sites
(R1483) Local Linear Estimator of the Conditional Hazard Function for Index Model in Case of Missing at Random Data
The estimation of hazard function becomes an important tool in statistics. Also, the single-index model is an essential method that has much application in a lot of domains but the use of this model in nonparametric estimation is very limited, and only a few theoretical results are available in the literature. In this paper, a kernel estimator of the conditional hazard function is proposed for the index model using the local linear model. This estimator is created under some regularity conditions and in the case of missing data at random. Then, the almost complete convergence is established with rate for the proposed estimator. The results prove that it has good asymptotic properties
