Traversing the Waste Spectrum: Unveiling Pakistan\u27s MSW Landscape and Solutions
Municipal solid waste (MSW) management must be sustainable in order to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and address health, environmental, and disposal challenges caused by the vast amounts of trash generated. MSW management going wrong puts locals in danger. In Pakistan, the production of municipal solid trash is rising daily. Urban settlers and other organizations gather a lot of waste in various forms, usually defiling and making our surroundings uninviting. Due to the indiscriminate dumping of various wastes, the soil quality in the metropolitan area has decreased as a result of solid and liquefied waste disposal. Significant environmental concerns regarding soil and water pollution arise from transferring contaminated garbage and mixed fluid outside of waste disposal borders. The impacts of municipal garbage disposal on soil and water quality at open waste dumping sites were the main focus of this review. Using a soil and water quality index, in many regions of the world especially in regions where waste management practices are insufficient, the contamination of soil and water owing to incorrect municipal solid waste disposal is a serious environmental hazard. Open dumping, unregulated landfilling, and illegal dumping are examples of improper waste disposal practices that can result in pollution that affects the quality of the soil and water. They must also seek to identify sustainable waste management solutions. The effect of these emitted gaseous emissions has, however, been thoroughly researched. To safeguard the environment and public health, quick action must be made to control trace element pollution
Studi Kasus Pemilihan Jenis Runner pada Injection Molding Plastik
Injection molding is one of the most widely used methods of the plastic production process. This is indicated by grow up of mold makers company. Based on the placement of the filling channel into cavity, they are 2 (two) types. The first is cold runner or convensional and the second is hot runner. The purpose of this research is to collect advantages and disadvantages of each based on a case study. So that it can be taken into consideration in determining the appropriate runner. The research was conducted on a cold runner mold which was then modified using a hot runner. The comparison before and after the modification results in the runner weight ratio dropping from 60% to zero percent. The step of the mold opening decreased from 170 mm to 75 mm or by 44%
Optimalisasi Vigenere dan Beaufort Cipher Menggunakan Teknik Fibonacci Untuk Citra Digital
One of the most popular Cryptographic Algorithms is the Vigenere Cipher Algorithm. Until now, digital crime or cybercrime in Indonesia continues to increase, one of the cybercrime actions that often occurs and is quite dangerous is the occurrence of leakage, manipulation, and misuse of digital data. The purpose of this research is as a way to overcome data leakage cases by utilizing the Vigenere and Beaufort Cipher Algorithms and optimization of the Fibonacci Technique which is applied to digital image data. The results of this study obtained the highest entropy value of 7.991. Tests carried out using UACI on RGB ciphers yielded a percentage value of 44% and 44.3% for CMY ciphers. While the results for the highest NPCR value were obtained from RGB image ciphers of 99.8% and CMY image ciphers of 99.8%. With the acquisition of these values, it can be concluded that the encryption process carried out can run well. In addition, the resulting image still has good quality with the acquisition of an entropy value close to 8. Another conclusion, with the value shown by the NPCR results, means that the cipher image has a very low similarity when compared to the original image. For the decryption process, it was concluded that the process was going well, as evidenced by the value of the deciper image which was exactly the same as the original image, indicated by the MSE, UACI, NPCR is 0, and PSNR is inf values
Analisa Perbandingan Kinerja Penyimpanan Query Database Antara Stored Procedure dengan Function
This research was conducted to measure the data storage time carried out by the DBMS on data that has been prepared with an increasing amount of data, the data provided is consistent student data which will be stored with Stored Procedures and Functions. Stored Procedures and Functions can all be applied, but each has its own characteristics so that research needs to be done to prove who is the fastest and what kind of character is suitable for the needs and in accordance with the toilet being faced. In some cases, software developers are not precise in using the methods applied, so that problems often arise, especially the problem of less fast information presentation time. This study uses the action research method which has 4 stages, starting with planning, action, observation and reflection. From the results of the experiments that have been carried out, it appears that Stored Procedures are able to outperform Functions in terms of data storage time. The data provided are 2 different types of data, each of which has 500, 2500, 4500 and 6500 data stages. This study also compares data storage that distinguishes computers between data provider computers and data storage computers or servers, the result of which is Stored Procedure is able to outperform the function in data storage speed
Usability Analysis Aplikasi Mobile Augmented Reality (MAR) untuk Multimedia Pembelajaran Motherboard (Aplikasi AR-Mobo)
Currently, Augmented Reality (AR) technology has developed into an easy-to-use, efficient and effective technology for providing innovative educational media. Mobile Augmented Reality (MAR) is an Augmented Reality technology that utilizes mobile devices, for example, smartphones. The MAR application for multimedia learning on the motherboard is seldom used in classroom learning so the effectiveness of learning is less than optimal. The research objective was to determine the level of usability of the MAR application system using the USE questionnaire. According to Arnold M. Lund, Usability analysis has 4 aspects: usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction. The method used is usability testing with 90 engineering students participating as research subjects. This study uses a questionnaire as a data collection tool and uses descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study, that the average usability analysis score is 86.22 is included in the very feasible category, based on the system feasibility category table. The developed MAR application shows that it has provided better user interaction. This research has the benefit of knowing the use of MAR applications on students, for specific purposes, namely effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. Lack of user motivation, and lack of features, will cause stress. This occurs when the system cannot meet the goals of its users.Augmented Reality has evolved into an ubiquitous, efficient and effective technology for providing innovative educational media. Studi Eksperimental Pengaruh Variasi CDI Terhadap Performa Kendaraan Empat Langkah
The ignition system is a system that greatly affects the performance of a vehicle. Capacity Discharge Ignition (CDI) is a component in the ignition system that works to set the right ignition timing, therefore combustion can be maximized. This study aimed to compare the use of a factory CDI with a CDI from another vehicle, namely the 110 cc Shogun, to determine the performance of a 125 cc GL Max motorbike including torque, power, and fuel consumption to efficiency. The data collection was carried out at speeds of 25 km/hour to 65 km/hour for each gear with an increase of 10 km/hour. The results showed that the larger the gear or teeth, the value of torque, power, and efficiency will also increase. The best results were obtained in the 110 cc Shogun CDI variation with respective values of 7.96 Nm, 6.8 pk, and 81.14%. Meanwhile, the value of the most economical fuel consumption is still the standard CDI GL Max 125 cc with a value of 0.12 kg/pk.hour in the highest gear.Perkembangan teknologi pada bidang otomotif, khususnya pada sistem pengapian pada sepeda motor bensin 4 langkah termodifikasi adalah pada sistem pengapian seperti CDI. Sistem pengapian merupakan salah satu dari komponen sepeda motor yang paling sering mengalami perkembangan. Pada penelitian ini menganalisa pengaruh CDI standar dengan CDI shogun 110cc yang digunakan pada motor honda GL Max 125c. Prosedur pengambilan data secara real, dengan metode on road test untuk memperoleh data primer dan analisis secara deskriptif. Hasil pengujian dan analisa menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan rasio gear dengan kontrol variabel kecepatan dan Rpm serta jarak tempuh memilki pengaruh pada performa mesin antara lain kecetapan, percepatan, daya, torsi, Sfc (konsumsi bahan bakar) pada mesin motor tersebut.Hasil pengujian untuk kecepatan dan percepatan nilainya semakin menurun, nilai enrgy CDI standar dan CDI Shogun110cc mengalami penurunan seiring peningkatan gigi, Untuk daya mengalami Peningkatan terbesar pada CDI shogun 110cc daripada CDI standar dan torsi mengalami sebaliknya, sedangkan konsumsi bahan bakar lebih hemat CDI standar disebabkan rasio gear dari pabrikan telah disesuaikan dengan kondisi motor
SIPAMBULAN: Sistem Informasi Pelayanan Ambulan menggunakan Algoritma Djikstra
The rapid development of information technology encourages innovation in various fields, including the field of disaster geographic information services. Lack of information on ambulance service providers is often the cause of delays in handling victims of natural disasters. Besides, the absence of information regarding the nearest route for ambulances to emergency service providers such as health centers and hospitals adds to the length of time for handling victims of natural disasters, resulting in increasingly severe victim losses, including life. This study aims to create a geographic information system that can be used to provide information on the location of the nearest ambulance service provider and emergency unit service. The system development research method uses the extreme programming method by implementing the Djikstra algorithm to determine the shortest route. This system testing process consists of testing the Djikstra algorithm and testing functionality using a usability scale. Djikstra\u27s algorithm testing is done by comparing the results of calculating the shortest route for two location points with the results obtained when using the Google Maps application. The results of this test indicate that the system can display shorter routes than the routes generated by the Google Maps application. On the other hand, testing system functionality using the usability scale method to see system acceptance by users shows that the application can be used properly with a score obtained that is 77.Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong inovasi diberbagai bidang termasuk dalam bidang layanan informasi geografis kebencanaan. Ambulan sebagai bagian dari pertolongan pertama korban bencana alam menjadi sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat yang mengalami korban bencana alam. Kurangnya informasi penyedia layanan ambulan sering menjadi penyebab terlambatnya penanganan korban bencana alam, selain itu tidak adanya informasi mengenai rute terdekat mobil ambulan menuju penyedia layanan unit gawat darurat seperti puskesmas dan rumah sakit menambah lamanya penanganan korban bencana alam yang berakibat pada kerugian korban yang semakin parah hingga harus kehilangan nyawa. Dari permasalahan tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sistem informasi geografis yang dapat digunakan untuk memberikan informasi lokasi penyedia layanan mobil ambulan dan layanan unit gawat darurat terdekat. Metode penelitian pengembangan sistem yang dilakukan yaitu metode extreme programming dengan mengimplementasikan algoritma djikstra. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah aplikasi yang dapat memudahkan user dan driver ambulan dalam mencari rute terdekat dengan unit gawat darurat. Analisis Kontribusi Pemanfaatan Limbah Kantong Semen (Reject) Berdasarkan Prespektif Life Cycle Assessment (Studi Kasus : PT. Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk.)
PT. Solusi Bangun Indonesia (SBI) Tbk Cilacap Factory is a cement company in Cilacap that has a high commitment and awareness of resource efficiency and the use of renewable energy. One of the important things that can support resource efficiency programs is the management of non-hazardous (non-B3) solid waste. If managed properly, non-B3 solid waste can produce a circular economy that is beneficial for the company and the community. PT SBI Cilacap Factory is making efforts to develop a Circular Economy with an LCA approach to cement bags produced both as reject products and circulating to end users through community empowerment activities. This study aims to evaluate the comprehensive environmental impact of the reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover cement bag program conducted by PT SBI Cilacap Factory together with the community. The system based on the purpose of this study cannot use a cradle-to-grave. Data processing in this study for environmental impact evaluation used the LCA SimaPro-9.4.0.2 software. The impact assessment method uses the ReCiPe 2016 midpoint method. Based on the contribution analysis, it was found that the cement paper collected for recycling in a centralized recycling facility will make a greater contribution to the environmental impacts of terrestrial ecotoxicity, land use, global warming, human non-carcinogenic toxicity, and human carcinogenic toxicity
Analisis Kandungan Silikon Karbida (SiC) Sebagai Filler Terhadap Peningkatan Kekerasan Pada Metal Matrik Komposit
Metal Matrix Composite is one of the metal composites that utilize aluminum alloy as a matrix in its fabrication. MMC has better specifications than the conventional materials it forms because it is light, ductile, with better hardness properties. The aluminum alloy as the matrix in this study has good mechanical properties but relatively low hardness values, especially type 2xxx aluminum containing Al-Cu or duralumin. By adding silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic content which acts as a filler in the manufacture of MMC it aims to increase the hardness value through a strengthening mechanism by analyzing the distribution of filler particles to the matrix. Using the sintering method with temperature variations that affect the mechanical properties of MMC. From the tests carried out the MMC specimens experienced an increase of 7.06% with the highest hardness value at 300oC sintering temperature of 71.6 HRB. With a SiC content of 14.42% Wt. Then it was observed using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) that the distribution of SiC particles experienced an even distribution and bonded to the aluminum matrix thereby reducing porosity and increasing the hardness value of the MMC material.Metal Matrik Komposit merupakan salah satu komposit logam dengan memanfaatkan paduan aluminium sebagai matrik dalam fabrikasinya. MMC memiliki spesifikasi lebih baik dari material konvensional pembentuknya baik karena sifatnya yang ringan, ulet, dengan sifat kekerasan yang lebih baik. Aluminium paduan sebagai matrik dalam penelitian ini memiliki sifat mekanik yang baik tetapi dengan nilai kekerasan yang terbilang rendah, khususnya pada aluminium tipe 2xxx yang mengandung unsur Al-Cu atau lebih dikenal sebagai duralumin. Dengan menambahkan kandungan keramik silikon karbida (SiC) yang berperan sebagai filler dalam pembuatan MMC bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai kekerasan melalui mekanisme penguatan dengan menganalisis persebaran partikel filler terhadap matrik. Metode penelitian yaitu sintering dengan variasi temperatur sehingga mempengaruhi sifat mekanik MMC. Dari pengujian yang dilakukan spesimen MMC mengalami peningkatan 7,06 % dengan nilai kekerasan tertinggi pada temperatur sinter 300oC sebesar 71,6 HRB. Dengan kandungan SiC sebesar Wt 14,42%. Kemudian diamati menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) persebaran partikel SiC mengalami pemerataan dan saling mengikat tarhadap matrik aluminium sehingga mengurangi porositas dan meningkatkan nilai kekerasan material MMC
Pengaruh Penambahan methanol Terhadap Emisi Bahan Bakar Mesin Sepeda Motor Berbahan Bakar Pertamax 150 CC
Automotive vehicles have increased every year, especially motorcycles, which result in increased air pollution. The use of alternative fuel methanol is one of the solutions to control air pollution. methanol has a high oxygen content so it can improve emissions. This study aims to analyze the use of a mixture of Pertamax and methanol fuel on exhaust emissions using a 150 cc EFI gasoline engine. The percentage of methanol used in the test is 5%, 10%, and 15%. Variation of engine speed from 1000 to 3000 rpm with an interval of 1000 rpm. Measurement of exhaust emissions using a gas analyzer. The addition of methanol to Pertamax fuel reduced HC emission levels at PM15 by 34% at 3000 rpm and CO by 43% at 3000 rpm at PM15, while CO2 and O2 emission levels increased by 23% at 3000 rpm at CO2, mixing PM15 and at O2 emissions of 163% at a speed of 3000 rpm on PM5.
Kendaraan otomotif setiap tahun mengalami peningkatan khususnya pada kendaraan sepeda motor yang mengakibatkan peningkatan polusi udara. Penggunaan bahan bakar alternatif methanol merupakan salah satu solusi pengendalian polusi udara. Methanol memiliki kadar oksigen yang tinggi sehingga dapat memperbaiki emisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penggunaan bahan bakar campuran pertamax dan methanol terhadap emisi gas buang menggunakan mesin bensin EFI 150 cc. prosentase methanol yang digunakan dalam pengujian adalah 5%,10% dan 15%. Variasi kecepatan mesin dari 1000 sampai 3000 rpm dengan interval 1000 rpm. Pengukuran emisi gas buang menggunakan gas analyzer. Penambahan methanol pada bahan bakar pertamax menurunkan kadar emisi HC pada PM15 sebesar 34% dengan kecepatan 3000 rpm dan CO sebesar 43% dengan kecepatan 3000 rpm pada PM15, sedangkan untuk kadar Emisi CO2 dan O2 mengalami peningkatan yaitu sebesar 23% dengan kecepatan 3000 rpm pada CO2 percampuran PM15 dan pada emisi O2 sebesar 163% dengan kecepatan 3000 rpm pada PM5
