Making Your IR Work for Your Context - CCT College Dublin: A Case Study
Get PDFA small team at CCT College Dublin was given a very big goal. A new IR and faculty profiling tool from Digital Commons was provided to enable strategic developments pertaining to institutional scholarly activity. In the span of little more than a year – and in the midst of COVID - Team CCT has made quick strides in using their IR to underpin and showcase teaching and learning activities, student achievement, quality and enhancement projects, research activity (including student research), and sectoral engagement. Although in the relatively early stages of development, the IR is now successfully embedded across many institutional activities with further plans in the pipeline which will be explored in this webinar.During this one hour program we’ll cover the following topics:1. HELP US TECHNOLOGY: CREATED BY STUDENTS FOR STUDENTS
Get PDFHUT is an online platform created by third year students at CCT College Dublin as the Final Project for the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The initial idea for the project came up during a meeting in a Café where we were all debating what would be the project theme and final product. During the first group meetings in college, our group came up with several good ideas but what would benefit us all, as students, would be something related to Online Learning because during our last academic year, a global pandemic began leaving Educational institutions with no option but adhere to online learning tools.
The students involved in the production of this document, as well as in the development of the Web Application: a Question & Answer Online Platform have successfully accomplished all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle. The project has allowed each student to use the skills in which they are better at, exploring each one\u27s qualities and capability.
The Planning was done following methodologies of Analysis and Design for Webbased Information Systems, including the creation of a system requirements list, use cases and elaboration of ERD, UML and other diagrams.
The Application is a RESTful API having its back-end developed using Spring Framework 5, Java 8, and MySQL, while its front-end was developed with Angular 9, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PrimeNG UI components
The Creative Engine Project

The project has five key outcomes including: The development of 6 new training modules on Creativity and Innovation in Engineering; A Report on the Innovation Skills needs of Engineering Industries across Europe; The production of Infographic report on Creativity and Innovation Needs; The Provision of Supplementary Resources Package on Creativity and Innovation; An Online Toolkit that companies can use to build awareness and understanding of creativity and innovation skills.
