Replication Data for: "Enhancing the Extraction of GHG Emission-Reduction Targets From Sustainability Reports using Vision Language Models"

    No full text
Replication data for an extraction artefact comprising a page-level dataset, an automated evaluation pipeline, model and text-preprocessing comparisons, and iterative prompt and few-shot refinement. Pages from sustainability reports can be processed directly by VLMs to preserve visual–textual structure

EJP SOIL - TrueSoil - Germany

    No full text
The EJP SOIL TrueSoil Project 2022-2025 investigated trade offs between crop yield, soil organic carbon and greenhouse gas emissions under agroecological practices over broad pedoclimatic conditions. The Garte-Sued field trial is a tillage practices experiment that compares conventional tillage and reduced tillage since 1970 in Goettingen, Germany. Conventional tillage is applied with moldboard ploughing at 30 cm and reduced tillage with rotary harrowing at 10 cm. The trial follows a randomized block design with four blocks each having four plots. In February 2023, we paired the tillage experiment with a reduced rain experiment using rainout shelters designed to intercept 50% of rainfall in half of the plots. In this dataset, we contribute data on crop yield, soil organic carbon stocks, soil carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide fluxes and soil mineral nitrogen from February 2022 until March 2025. Additional data (e.g., management information and soil properties) are also included

Bachelor Thesis "Hearing What Plants Feel: Stress Signals Via Ultrasound"

    No full text
Plants provide us with the basis of life by producing oxygen and serving as food. How ever, due to advancing climate change, we are increasingly experiencing food shortages. In order to protect and increase the remaining plant population, multispectral cameras are now being used in addition to manual visual inspections. However, by the time visual abnormalities are detected, the underlying diseases or damage have already occurred and have had an impact. A method that could be used at an earlier stage appears to have been found in a study by Khait et al. [1]. They discovered that tomato plants under stress conditions, such as drought, emit measurable acoustic emissions in the ultrasonic range. This reproduction is considered unique to date. Reproducing the experiment would enable real-time re sponses to the sounds made by plants. This could prevent disease or damage to plants and thus also secure food production. The aim of this thesis was therefore to verify the study by Khait et al. using our own measurements on tomato plants. For this purpose, these plants were recorded in an aeroponic system using a 384 kHz ultrasonic microphone. The resulting recordings were segmented, spectrographically evaluated and checked for frequency peaks. A real-time analysis of characteristic frequency peaks was also performed. However, the analysis of all our own measurements was negative, with no characteristic frequency peaks in the range of 49.6 ± 0.4 kHz. This is in stark contrast to the data provided from the experiments in the paper by Khait et al. [2]. The discrepancies can be attributed to technical problems during recording and to ambient noise. Future work should focus primarily on improving the recording conditions. This dataset contains supplementary information and code. "Methods_and_Materials.pdf" contains supplementary information about the experimental process and data generation. All the code can be found in the folder "Code". The code is written in python partly using jupyter notebooks. Additionally to standard python libraries, the package "NGSolve" (https://ngsolve.org/installation.html, Version 6.2.2504.) is needed. GENERAL CODE - algorithm.py | Landweber iteration and backtracking line search - pde.py | Implementation of the Stokes problem and its adjoined with Robin and Dirichlet boundary conditions - tools.py | general help functions DATA FOLDERS AND CORRESPONDING FIGURES Every data folder contains a uniquely named jupyter notebook in which the data is generated or loaded in and reconstructs the forces. In relevant folders real data can be found in the sub-folder 'experimental data' as raw data in the Olympus data formats .oib or .oir, as a .avi, and as a flow field after the PIV as a .csv file.
