    The mission of the US Japan Partnership Program is to promote public awareness of the world with a specific focus on the sharing of knowledge about and study of US-Japan relations. The program provides leadership for the Japanese Supplementary School at The University of Mississippi and assists the educational and business communities in north Mississippi by offering a variety of services, including outreach activities for use in education. The USJP is an excellent resource to support students, families, and businesses with special needs related to the educational and economic growth of Mississippi

    Center for Multi-messenger Astrophysics

    The Center was officially announced by the University of Mississippi on November 1, 2018 after the Center’s creation was approved by the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning in September. The Center will allow UM researchers to play a prominent role in the emergent field of multi-messenger astrophysics, which is a new branch of science born in 2015 through the discovery of gravitational waves by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory, or LIGO. The Center will enhance UM competitiveness in securing external funding, boost recruitment and retention of high-profile faculty and students in the physics and astronomy programs and serve Oxford and the surrounding community through education and public outreach initiatives

    Men of Excellence provides programming and support which enhance the personal growth and holistic success of Men of Color at the University of Mississippi. The organization intends to encourage, cultivate, and honor confidence, integrity, self-respect, and self-esteem to prepare MOX members to serve as positive role models and mentors for the campus and surrounding communities. Men of Excellence welcomes all who are committed to brotherhood, faith, perseverance, and mentorship. The purpose of MOX is to use mentoring to abridge the opportunity/achievement gap for Men of Color at the University of Mississippi
