    Get PDF
Finding a balance between the needs of all parties and the state of the environment is what "sustainable development" tries to do. The goal is to protect future generations while also making progress for humanity. However, not a lot is known about how small and medium-sized businesses can run safely in emerging countries and how sustainable development affects them. So, this study's goal is to find out how the success of small and medium-sized businesses in Malaysia is linked to long-term growth. The main purpose of this study is to find out how sustainable success and sustainable growth are linked in Malaysian small and medium-sized companies. A numeric survey method was used to get information from small and medium-sized businesses in Malaysia. The businesses filled out a questionnaire on their own time. Using data from this study, PLS-SEM was used to look at the link between sustainable growth and sustainable success. The study's results showed that sustainable success and sustainable growth are closely linked. The study's results will help the government and business community build businesses that are competitive, strong, and long-lasting, so they can do well in both local and international markets

    Get PDF
The engineering industry has several obstacles as the worldwide economy slows, including macroeconomic hardship, lack of resources, organizational deficiencies, and an overall incapacity to respond to major concerns. In the past few years, they have gotten increasingly intense and serious. Empirical supply chain administration studies identify impediments that hinder the engineering industry in emerging nations, such as South Africa. This research aims to investigate supply chain limitations in the South African engineering industry. The literature was evaluated as well as interviews that were semi-structured and were used to get thoughts from 15 senior supply chain professionals. To examine qualitative data, ATLAS.ti (version 7) software was used for content analysis. The conversations revealed six topics, such as a shortage of capital in supply chains, innovative supply chain process restrictions, supply chain administration changes, supply chain cooperation, supply chain administration, and scheduling administration. engineering companies should use systems to manage their supply chains, integrated options, and collaboration managing project techniques and technology. The findings reveal a shortage of expenditure in supply management processes and the fact that engineering companies are still lacking a strategic perspective on managing their supply chains. However, it seems that supply chain tactics may improve an organization's efficiency and business performance in engineering companies

The data were collected from the Scopus database from 2014 to February 2024, with 456 published papers with the keywords “Millennial”, “accountant profession”, “digital skills”, and “critical thinking”. The finding shows that higher education remains the predominant author keyword in academic writing over the previous decade, with accounting education ranking second rather than critical thinking abilities. The top ten articles do not directly correspond to the digital and critical thinking abilities of Millennial accountants. This study contributes to the literature on the Millennial accountant profession by providing interdisciplinary approaches incorporating technology-enhanced learning methods, case studies, and real-world simulations to develop holistic skill sets among aspiring accountants

The Impact of Foreign Direct Investment, Green Technology Innovation and GDP on CO2 Emissions in Western China: A Static Panel Data Analysis

    Get PDF
This study investigates the impact of FDI, green technology innovation and GDP on CO2 emissions in the western region of China. This study applies the extended STIRPAT model, selects the relevant data of nine provinces in western China from 2000 to 2019, applies the static panel data analysis method, compares and analyses the estimation methods of Pooled OLS, fixed effect and random effect, and finally adopts the robust standard error estimation method of fixed effect. The results of the robust standard error estimation indicate that, in addition to the negative impact of green technology innovation on CO2 emissions, CO2 emissions are positively impacted by FDI, GDP, population, and the proportion of the secondary and tertiary industries. Therefore, reasonable introduction of FDI and improving green technology innovation levels are crucial in reducing CO2 emissions in the western region of China

Exploring The Influence of Short Travel Reels and Video Reviews on Travel Inspiration: A Study of Island Reviews

    Get PDF
This study investigates the impact of short travel video reels on travel inspiration and intention, focusing on how presenter attractiveness, destination attractiveness, and video design influence viewers’ motivation to travel. Despite extensive research on traditional travel marketing methods, there is a notable gap in exploring the role of short-form video content in influencing travel-related decisions.  The primary objective of this research is to examine how various elements of short travel video reels affect travel inspiration and intention. The study employs a systematic sampling technique with an intercept method, utilising survey data from participants who watched short travel videos showcasing different presenters, destinations, and video designs.  The methodology includes mediation and moderation analyses to assess the relationships between the attractiveness factors and travel intention mediated by travel inspiration. The findings reveal that presenter attractiveness, destination attractiveness, and video design significantly influence travel intention, with travel inspiration as a critical mediator. The study confirms that engaging and visually appealing travel videos can effectively stimulate viewers’ desire to travel.  However, the expected moderating effect of openness to experience on these relationships was not supported, suggesting that other factors may play a more significant role in shaping travel inspiration.  For marketers and content creators, the findings highlight the importance of investing in high-quality, visually compelling travel content and selecting charismatic presenters to maximise viewer engagement. Additionally, the research underscores the need for future studies to explore emerging media formats and cultural variations in travel inspirations

Volunteerism at events, from small to large-scale festivals such as sporting competitions, is critical to their success. Understanding event volunteers' motivations is crucial for organizers in terms of recruiting, retaining, and managing volunteer resources efficiently. This study aims to examine the relationship between dimensions of event volunteer motivation which include leisure motivation, purposive motivation, egoistic motivation and external influence on the intention to volunteer. Previous studies have found that these multi-dimensional motivational factors are essential for fostering an individual’s decision-making process towards volunteering at an event. Positive effects on volunteer motivation will be analyzed using regression analysis in this research. In general, the results derived from the study will assist event organizers in understanding how their volunteers make decisions about taking part in the festivals they organize as well as designing ways of recruiting, managing and holding onto them for attaining ultimate success during such occasions
