Examining Factors Influencing Adults' Repurchase Intentions in Green Restaurants: A Study in Klang Valley
Green restaurants are establishments that prioritize environmental sustainability by implementing practices such as reducing energy consumption, minimizing disposable product use, and curbing food waste. This study aims to investigate the factors within a modified Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework that influence repurchase intentions toward green restaurants in the Klang Valley. Specifically, it examines how sustainable attitudes, price perceptions, and subjective norms affect consumer decisions while fostering greater awareness and understanding of green dining practices to promote environmental sustainability. A quantitative approach was adopted, surveying 390 Klang Valley residents with prior experiences at green restaurants. Purposive sampling was used to select participants, and data were collected through a structured questionnaire. The responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability testing, and multiple regression analysis via the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The findings revealed that all TPB variables, sustainable attitudes, price, and subjective norms, positively influence repurchase intentions, with sustainable attitude emerging as the most significant predictor. These results underscore the importance of fostering pro-environmental attitudes to drive consumer loyalty toward green restaurants. This study contributes to the limited body of research on green restaurants in Malaysia, offering practical insights for restaurant owners, policymakers, and community groups to integrate eco-friendly practices such as reducing paper waste, optimizing energy consumption, and adopting biodegradable disposables. Academically, the study serves as a foundation for future research, encouraging scholars and practitioners to further investigate the potential of green restaurants in advancing environmental sustainability
Exploring the Perceived Inequities and Potential Reforms in Public-Private Partnerships for Infrastructure Development: A Qualitative Study of Stakeholder Perspectives in Zimbabwe
Public-private partnerships (PPPs) are an essential tool for mobilizing private investment and expertise to address infrastructure shortfalls globally, especially in developing countries such as Zimbabwe. However, the public sector is frequently harmed and citizens are burdened by Zimbabwe's current PPP frameworks, which calls for an analysis of the financial dynamics and consequences for equity. The purpose of this study is to investigate perceived inequities in Zimbabwe's PPP arrangements. Research gaps include inadequate attention to comprehensively explore perceived inequities and socio-economic impacts across sectors beyond transport, such as energy and healthcare, and a lack of focused, in-depth qualitative analysis of stakeholder perspectives specific to Zimbabwe, particularly from affected communities and local officials. The study adopts a descriptive and exploratory design, semi-structured interviews, and focus group discussions with a range of stakeholders. The data was analyzed using NVivo software and thematic analysis. The findings highlight the need for an in-depth qualitative understanding of stakeholder difficulties, demographic variety, and effects on development and financial well-being. While Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) have improved infrastructure and local economic prospects, worries about financial strain on local governments, socioeconomic inequality, and environmental sustainability still exist. To promote transparency, justice, and more public benefit, recommendations for restructuring PPPs include equal risk sharing, more robust accountability systems, greater stakeholder participation, and giving priority to initiatives that benefit communities. These changes are necessary to guarantee that PPPs properly support Zimbabwe's aims for sustainable development and cater to the wide range of requirements of its populace
Determinants of Breast Cancer Knowledge among Public University Students
Breast cancer is still a leading global health concern, with Malaysia experiencing a notable burden, accounting for approximately 34.1% of all female cancers between 2017 and 2021. The National Cancer Registry highlights the disease as a common cause of death among Malaysian women. Even though the case of breast cancer remains high, the level of breast cancer knowledge is still low, making it difficult to educate the community to effectively fight against the disease. Thus, this study aims to determine the influence of demographic factors and lifestyle factors on breast cancer knowledge and to examine the difference between gender and family history towards breast cancer knowledge levels among university students. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 261 students from the Bachelor’s Degree of Health Administration (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi Mara, Puncak Alam Campus. Results indicated that gender is an important factor in breast cancer knowledge, with females exhibiting higher knowledge levels. Moreover, physical activity and healthy dietary patterns also emerged as significant predictors of a higher level of knowledge. Future research should continue promoting early screening and prevention, raising awareness of male breast cancer to emphasize its importance alongside female breast cancer. Implementing the gamification technique is an interesting way as an educational tool to attract more community members and improve their health-related knowledge
Attachment Theory and Smartphone Addiction Among University Students: Investigating Psychological Dependence, Behavioral Patterns and Well-Being
Smartphones play a crucial role in students' daily routines, influencing social interactions and academic engagement. This study explores the link between attachment styles—secure, avoidant, anxious, and disorganized—and smartphone addiction among students at UiTM Puncak Alam’s Faculty of Business and Management. Based on data from 256 respondents, findings reveal that all attachment styles significantly correlate with smartphone addiction, with avoidant attachment displaying the strongest relationship (r = .701), followed by disorganized (r = .554), anxious (r = .534), and secure attachment (r = .476). Regression analysis identifies avoidant attachment as the primary predictor, suggesting that individuals with avoidant tendencies rely heavily on smartphones to distance themselves from real-world interactions. Anxious attachment also contributes, reflecting excessive smartphone use driven by a need for social reassurance. In contrast, secure and disorganized attachments show minimal predictive impact. These results indicate that smartphone addiction is not merely a behavioral habit but is deeply rooted in psychological and emotional factors. Students with avoidant and anxious attachments may depend on smartphones for validation or coping, reinforcing problematic usage patterns. To address this issue, universities should implement structured interventions such as digital wellness programs, attachment-based counseling, and social engagement initiatives that encourage healthy offline interactions. Encouraging face-to-face communication and setting boundaries for smartphone usage can help mitigate addiction risks. Future studies should investigate the long-term academic and psychological effects of smartphone dependency, offering broader insights into the consequences of attachment-driven smartphone addiction in university settings
Hypnotherapy Meets Supply Chain: A Novel Approach to Negotiation Mastery, A Conceptual Approach
Negotiation is a vital component of supply chain management, requiring both strategic thinking and emotional intelligence to navigate complex, high-stakes interactions. Traditional supply chain negotiation programs focus on tactical skills but often overlook the psychological challenges that can undermine negotiation performance. This conceptual paper proposes the integration of hypnotherapy—a psychological technique known for enhancing relaxation, focus, and behavioral change—into supply chain negotiation training. Drawing from literature in supply chain strategy, emotional intelligence, and clinical hypnotherapy, the paper presents a novel framework for applying hypnotherapy techniques such as guided relaxation and visualization during pre-negotiation preparation, active negotiation, and post-negotiation reflection. The potential benefits include improved emotional regulation, heightened mental clarity, and reduced cognitive biases, which together contribute to more effective and confident negotiations. While the paper acknowledges cultural and ethical considerations, particularly in Asian contexts, it argues that hypnotherapy offers a valuable tool for enhancing negotiation mastery in modern supply chain environments. Future empirical research is recommended to validate the proposed framework and assess its practical impact
