Contraceptive Use Among Women Of Reproductive Age And The Number Of Ideal Children In West Java
Background: The use of contraceptives for couples of childbearing ages is influential on the birth. More children born means the more spending to support the children, and eventually impacting the health of the children. The perspective on the ideal number of children for parents is influenced by demographic, social and economic conditions. This study examines the extent of the relationship between demographic conditions, contraceptive use, and access to family planning services to the ideal number of children among couples of childbearing age in West Java Province.
Methods: This type of research is analysis of an existing dataset. This study uses the 2017 IDHS data and the sample population is women of reproductive age 15-49 years who are registered in the IDHS in West Java Province. Data processing were conducted on August-November 2020 using chi square data analysis.
Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between the use of contraceptives and the ideal number of children (p-value 0,032). On the other hand, other demographic and social economic variable of the couples of childbearing ages: education (p-value 0,076), knowledge of contraceptive (p-value 0,737), wealth (p-value 0,489) and health information (p-value 0,413) shows no relationship with the ideal number of children.
Conclusion: Among demographic and social economic variable of the couples of childbearing ages, only contraceptive use shows a relationships with ideal number of children. In order to reduce fertility rates, more campaign regarding family planning especially for couples of childbearing ages, religious leaders, the customs and the community leaders are needed
The Effect Of Mixed Juice Of Young Green Coconut And Date Fruits On The Duration Of Active Phase Of Labor
Background: The delivery process need a lot of energy from food. Juice preparation is one of the recommended food forms during labor. This study was purposed to analyze the effect of giving mixed juices of young green coconut and dates on the duration of the active phase of the first stage of labor. Methods: A quasi-experiment with a post-test only with control group design include 18 pregnant women (10 intervention and 8 control. Purposive sampling was used, respondents were multigravida (P2-P4) in active phase of labor, without previous section caesarean, no augmentation with oxytocin, estimated birth weight was 2500-4000 gr, singleton pregnancy, aterm labor, and without any other complication during delivery at Alian Public Health Center, Kebumen Regency in October - December 2020. The intervention group given 500 mL of mixed juice of young green coconut and dates during the first stage of labor and control group received standard care. Mann-Whitney test was used to analyze median difference between two groups. Results: There was no difference in the duration of the active phase of the first stage of labor between the intervention and control group (P-value 0,756). There was no difference of the rate of cervix dilatation between the two groups (P-value 0,408). The median of the active phase of the first stage of labor was 197,5 minutes and 147,5 minutes respectively. The median of rate cervix dilatation in the intervention group was 1,96 cm per hour and 1,94 cm per hour respectively. The rate of cervix dilatation in both groups was in normal category. Respondent in standard group was not forbidden eating and drinking, so both groups received enough energy and hydration during labor. Conclusion: Mixed juice of young green coconut and dates can be given during labor to fulfill the energy need during labor
Pengaruh Konsumsi Buah Kurma Terhadap Peningkatan Kadar Hemoglobin Pada Ibu Hamil Trimester III
Background: Anemia in pregnant women is a condition of the mother with hemoglobin levels in her blood <11.0% gr. Prevention of anemia in pregnant women can be through various ways including the fulfillment of nutrients in the body obtained from fruits and vegetables, one of them by consumption of dates. Dates contain 1.02 mg of iron per 100 grams. This study aims to determine the effect of consumption of dates on the increase in hemoglobin levels in third trimester pregnant women in the Klateng Community Health Center. Method: This type of research is a quasy experiment with a non equivalent control group design pre-test-post test design. A population of 57 third trimester pregnant women The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, a sample of 30 respondents from third trimester pregnant women was obtained in the working area of the Central Health Center in Klateng. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Results: The average level of hemoglobin in the treatment group of hemoglobin levels pre (before) the administration of dates by 10.793 gr / dL and post (after) the administration of dates occurred an increase of 11,933 gr / dL and seen an increase (difference) from the average value of pre and post of 1,140 gr / dL with a standard deviation of 0.6643. Statistical test results obtained p value <0.05 (0.002 <0.05) so that Ho is rejected, Ha is accepted then consumption of dates has a statistically significant effect on increasing hemoglobin levels. Conclusion: From the results of these studies indicate the influence of consumption of dates to increase hemoglobin levels in third trimester pregnant women in the work area of the Central Health Center

Background: Sexual intercourse during pregnancy is a physiological need for pregnant women that is influenced by factors of perception from within oneself and previous experience and gender role factors in the family with the aim of knowing the relationship between gender roles and sexual relations in pregnant women. Methods: Non-experimental research with a population of all pregnant women in the village of Curugsewu in the District of Patean. The total sample of pregnant women receiving antenatal care was 30 with the Kendal statistical test. Results: significance T = 0.022 <0.005 there is a relationship between gender roles and sexual relations of sufficient strength in the negative direction -391*.Conclusion: there is a relationship between gender roles and sexual relations, the husband\u27s role is very dominant but the frequency of sex in early pregnancy is largely not done because it is influenced by cultural factors and a history of previous abortion sex
Efektivitas Penggunaan Buku Saku Higiene Menstruasi dan Pencegahan Kekerasan dalam Situasi Bencana Pada Remaja Putri
Background: Menstruation hygiene and violence in disaster situation can cause serious problems for adolescent girls. Poor menstrual hygiene during disaster can increase the risk of reproductive tract infections and violence can lead to unwanted pregnancy, abortion and psychological trauma. Approximately 80% of the needs of adolescent girls are not met during disaster. They need to be prepared to be able to empower themselves in dealing with disaster situations. Pocket book is one of the media to increase knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of menstrual hygiene pocket books and prevention of violence in disaster situations on the knowledge of adolescent girls. Methods: This research method is pre experiment with one group pre test and post test design. The study was conducted in May to October 2019 at SMAN 7 Lubuk Buaya Padang with 51 respondents using proportionate random sampling. Research instrument using questionnaire. Univariate and bivariate data analysis used Chi Square with 95% confidence level. Results: There is a significant effect of the use of pocket book on the knowledge of adolescent girls about menstrual hygiene and prevention of violence in disaster situations (p=0,000). Conclusion: It is hoped that the school can utilize the pocket book to increase the knowledge and preparedness of adolescent girls in dealing with disaster situations
Identifikasi Alkaloid Daun Kelor (Moringa Oleifera L)
Background: Indonesia has a lot of storing a variety of healthy plants and inhabited by various tribes with different traditional sanitary knowledge. Moringa leaf is a plant that is often used by the community to improve health. This type of research is an observational study that is to identify Moringa leaf alkaloid compounds. The purpose of this study was to identify the content of alkaloid compounds in moringa leaves which were arranged using tables and narratives. Methods: Descriptive observational research by extracting 260 grams of Moringa leaves, and identification in the laboratory. Results: The results of the identification of moringa leaf alkaloids using Wagner reagents contained brown sediment. Conclusion: The conclusion is positive Moringa leaves contain alkaloid compounds
Dukungan Suami Meningkatkan Kunjungan Pemeriksaan K4 Ibu Hamil
Background: K4 is the fourth prenatal check-up visit for health workers to obtain antenatal care according to standards and to detect complications as early as possible during pregnancy. The K4 coverage in Batang-Batang Daya village, the working area of the Batang-Batang Puskesmas is still below the target in 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husband\u27s support and the decision of pregnant women in carrying out K4 examinations. Methods: The design of this study is analytic correlational with a cross-sectional study approach, the population of pregnant women in the third trimester of pregnancy in Batang-Batang Daya Village in 2019 was 27 respondents, using total sampling techniques, husband\u27s support data was collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire. K4 examination data used a checklist in the KIA book, and the statistical test used was Chi-Square with an expected value of less than 5. Result: The results showed that most of the pregnant women received support from their husbands as many as 20 people (74.1). Most of the pregnant women underwent a K4 examination (4th pregnancy visit), as many as 20 people (74.1%). The analysis result from the Chi-Square test shows the value (ρ) = 0.000. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the husband\u27s support is related to the decision by pregnant women to carry out K4 examinations. Husbands should always provide support to their wives to carry out routine checks so that pregnant women are motivated to carry out K4 examinations, and are more confident about carrying out their pregnancy
Efek Kombinasi Relaksasi Autogenik dan Aromaterapi Lavender Terhadap Kadar Glukosa Darah Pada Pasien DM Tipe 2
Background: Elderly as a group at risk of susceptible to health problems due to physiological decline in the body, one of them is diabetes mellitus type 2. Elderly diabetes mellitus type 2 requires good management both pharmacologically and non pharmacologically. Non-pharmacological management that can control blood glucose levels in the elderly is autogenic relaxation therapy with lavender aromatherapy. Autogenic relaxation is mind body therapy that focuses on heart rate and breath regulation. Aromatherapy lavender is a therapy that uses essential oils that can calm the mind. This scientific work aims to analyze effect of combination therapy of autogenic relaxation and lavender aromatherapy to amount blood sugar in elderly people with diabetes mellitus type 2. Methods: This study used a quasi experimental pre test and post test method without control group. Sampling using a purposive sampling method of 16 respondents. Therapy is done 2 times a day for 15 minutes in each session within 30 days with 10 meetings and blood glucose checks. The analysis test used the paired T-Test. Results: The results of the Paired T-Test statistical test showed a significant decrease in average blood glucose levels of 83.75 mg/dL with a value of p = 0.000. Conclusion: Combination therapy of autogenic relaxation and lavenderaromatherapy are effective for reducing blood glucose levels. Therefore, it is expected that the elderly with diabetes mellitus type 2 can perform autogenic relaxation therapy and lavender aromatherapy routinely so that blood glucose levels can decrease
Efektivitas Pemanfaatan Posyandu Lanjut Usia
Background: The elderly Posyandu is an integrated service post for the elderly that is driven by the community to be able to get health services. The coverage of elderly health services in Bekasi City in 2013 has generally reached the target. The RPJMD and SPM targets are 70%, the health service achievement of the elderly reaches 84.2%, but there are still Puskesmas that have not yet reached the target of one, Jati Bening Health Center. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to the use of elderly Posyandu.Methods: The place of research is in the working area of the Jatibening Health Center and was carried out in 2019. This study used an analytical survey method with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study are the elderly who are registered in the Posyandu of the elderly in the working area of the Jatibening Health Center totaling 100 people, a sample of 80 respondents using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data collection by check list and questionnaire, the data is analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with Chi-square.Results: The results showed there was a relationship between the knowledge of the elderly (P 0.037), family support (0.0001), and the role of cadres (P 0.01) with the use of the elderly posyandu.Conclusion: From the results of the study it can be concluded that the factors of elderly knowledge, family support and the role of cadres in the use of elderly Posyandu greatly affect how the elderly Posyandu can be utilized properly, therefore researchers suggest for health workers to be able to improve health services by providing better health services and counseling the elderly about the benefits of posyandu for the elderly
Pengaruh Pijat Bayi Terhadap Lama Tidur Bayi Usia 3-6 Bulan di Desa Jemawan Kecamatan Jatinom Kabupaten Klaten
Background: Sleep is prime priority for baby, because when this moment occurs repair neuro-brain and more or less 75% of growth hormone are produced. Considering the importance of sleep time for baby development, baby’s sleep needs must be fulfilled in order not to adversely affect growth and development. One of the way to fulfill baby’s sleep needs is baby massage. When baby massaged will increase serotonin secretion that will suppress the activity of the reticulation-activating system and causing sleepy. Purpose this study to knowing the effect of baby massage to the length of sleep of baby ages 3-6 month in Jemawan Village, Jatinom Sub-District, Klaten District. Methods: Quasy eksperiment research with one group pretest-posttest design. Sampling using saturated sampling technique with 32 babies. Bivariate analysis using non parametric statistic Wilcoxon test with an error rate of 5%. Baby massage is performed of baby ages 3-6 month throughout the baby’s body for 30 minutes, baby massage is doing 2 times a week in 4 weeks.Results: This study show results that the length of sleep of baby before doing massage is mostly less than 13 hours as much as 18 babies (56,25%) and the length of sleep of baby after doing massage is normal 13-15 hours as much as 27 babies (84,38%). The result of Wilcoxon test is p = 0,000 (p <0,05) that Ha accepted.Conclusion: There is effect of baby massage to the length of sleep of baby ages 3-6 month in Jemawan Village, Jatinom Sub-District, Klaten District
